Before I knew I was pregnant (didn't find out until 7 weeks) I consumed:
Virtually raw steak (I like my meat RARE)
Rare hamburger (see above)
Fish carpaccio (I'll have my fish raw too if I can help it)
Various types of soft (and certainly unpasteurised) cheese
Red wine every night
I was, and am, absolutely fine.
I do sympathise with you - I'm now 13 weeks and I freaked last week as I inadvertently ate home-made ice cream which was made with raw egg yolks (I posted for reassurance here too, and got it!). That was Saturday, and I am fine.
As everyone above says, the chances of a cafe using unpasteurised mayo (unless it's a super posh 'gastro' type place) are really slim. I live abroad so standards here are a bit different, which I now know, but in the UK they are usually terribly cautious about raw eggs and such in restaurants.
Also, as far as I know, standard UK hens eggs have been vaccinated against salmonella? Someone please correct me if I am talking crap.
