I find myself paranoid after mc last time.
Had a bizarre dream the other night too about m/c & had to do retest just to check.

I just hop eit all goes OK.

I have a hol to france in end of May 2 week B4 I'm due, but am not going to cancel just yet.

You are still in the worrying early days part aren't you? How many weeks? Have you got any scans booked yet? I had a scan at 9 weeks just to make sure ... but some places don't let you do that. I have a fab midwife here .... she's my new best friend

Well done for starting the new thread, Ghosty. I felt I didn't want to go into details about my scan for the reasons you mention. Only decided to go for it on Monday night. Anyway, I feel much more reassured now. Have got over feeling sick too. How is your SPD?

SPD is not great HD to be honest. It didn't help when I slipped on a kitchen floor at the weekend and nearly did the splits ... could really feel it all night in bed after that and yesterday when attempting to do a bit of very light gardening. It is making me feel a bit low at the moment as I feel pretty useless - couldn't go for a lovely walk with DH and DS yesterday (Spring has arrived finally in Auckland the weather is beautiful!) ... and spent much of the time doing an impression of a pudding on the sofa As a result I am still piling on the weight and actually had a 'Not long to go then love?' the other day ... Hmmm only 15 weeks!!!

Hummm. Found out at the w/end that I'm pregnant. Had m/c in July also previously had one about 3 yrs ago, though I now have 2 sons. I can not get excited about this preg at all - though naturally am delighted. Preg after miscarriage is so different - almost like your robbed of something.Anyway, day at a time.

I'm thinking of you Bunny - I hope you get some answers soon - I know how important that is.

It is a whole new ball game isn't it when you have had an m/c ... the romance and excitement of being pregnant is no longer there ... just worry and anxiety and lots of hope.
Although I am well past the 'scary' time (25 weeks) I like to keep posting on this thread ... because I still think of my m/c and thinking about it keeps me focussed on what is important here ... a happy outcome ... so when I have a little moan about the not so nice things about being pregnant I am always thanking my lucky stars that I am ...

Okay, just found out was pg at w/end. Had m/c in July. Didn't expect to fall 1st month of trying, and have booked flight to Boston to see SIL on Friday. Any advice re flying this early on? I really don't want to do anything to threaten this one.........

Congrats lazyeye! You must be thrilled,but as with the rest of us, slightly nervous alongside the excitment, it never really goes away, does it?
I have been spotting a bit today, at least I think I have and go to the loo a couple of times each hour to have a 'look'. I have an early scan on Thursday (I will be 7 weeks) and can't wait so I can see everything is ok, at least up until this point. I don't have any advice about flying early on in pregnancy.....I have flown at about 16/17 weeks a few years ago and was told that was ok. Hope you get some answers though

am really scared, the spotting turned to bright red blood last night.....didn't sleep much, Phoned a helpline but was adviced to do nothing, and 'wait it out'. What if I lose this baby too? The blood is turning brown now, so maybe not so bad. Hubby said I bled early on with our dd as well ( can't remember) and I know that bleeding during pregnancy is really common. But I can shake off my fear of what might happen.

Thinking of you. I've been there. Any chance of getting a scan before Thursday? Surely they would treat a women with previous miscarriages generously??? Waiting is the worst bit.

Hana, you should be given a scan, just to put your mind at rest, ask again and again until they relent. I have my fingers so tightly crossed for you. Please remember lots of women bleed, I did when I had ds and he is very much here. Love Bunny

Thanks Bunny and lazyeye, I'm going to see my GP in an hour, have been told she can check my cervix and see if it's still closed. (?) Have been trying to reach the EPU but no one is answering. Had a friend over this morning, she brought lunch and got everything ready, and another friend has taken dd to playgroup for a few hours. What would we do without our friends ( and Mumsnet too)
so I'm still hoping and thinking positive thoughts, it's hard though

Hi Hana, I am doing ok, thanks for asking. I spent a week in tears then had a screaming banshee fit on Sunday. I am still sad but feel able to cope and looking forward to getting pregnant again maybe in a couple of months. I have had loads of support and help, I dont think I could have coped without it.

saw the doctor, said my cervix was still closed ( a good sign) but she of course couldn't guarantee anything....she's trying to get me an appt at EPU for today rather than tomorrow. I'm still spotting but it's brown, so old blood? I'm feeling really sick this morning but don't know if that's nerves or preg sickness. Oh it's hard, isn't it. My dd has a settling in session at nursery this morning maybe that will take my mind of things. Still hoping for the best, thanks for thinking of me -

No heartbeat at the scan. Was told that most women with my dates (7 weeks) there would be a clear heartbeat, there was with my dd at 6 weeks. So assuming the worst. Dr said I will likely miscarry. Am to go back next week to see if the sac has grown at all. Feel , well, empty. My husband is home for the rest of the day, I just want to go and hide . This will be my third failed pregnancy. How do you go on from this?
