Am reading this thread with great interest... We started potty training DS on Friday and it's been relatively fine with a few accidents here and there. Sent him to nursery today (bearing in mind that he hasn't had a wee or poo outside of the house yet) so am very nervous!

Katmumsnet- is your DS ok being in pants? My DS is great when he is bare bummed but I think we need more practice at pulling pants up and down had 3 accidents today.

If I go back to bare bummed I worry I will confuse him!
My poor brain, this is so complicated.

Thanks :) DS loves his pants, it wasn't very difficult trying to convince him - probably because they have tractors all over them! Also, he likes things to be neat and tidy (he hates mess, being dirty, or even if his sleeves are rolled up, he'll immediately pull them down).

Though like your DS, he has difficulty pulling down his trousers and pants. I realise now that I should have planned ahead and bought more trackies and less jeans!

PenguinArmy Perhaps she goes and then decides not to finish, and it's just a continuation of the last wee? DS sometimes decides to go and for whatever reason changes his mind and holds it all in. On the second day of potty training at the weekend, DS didn't wee or poo in 5.5 hours!

Looks like we're all still hanging in there.

DS is doing well with wees, he lets us know and we literally have to run and get his pants down before he wets himself. He knows how to pull down his pants/trousers and sit down on the potty by himself, but chooses not to Poos are okay, hit and miss really. We've had more poo in pants than potty lately..

Has anyone sent their DCs into nursery whilst potty training? DS went to nursery twice last week and he's wet/pooed himself each time he needed to go I guess they're not quick on picking up his signals, either that or he's just choosing not to tell them..
