Hi feeling really desperate about my hair situation. DS2 aged 4months. Washed my hair this morning and so much fell out. I now have a receding hairline around my temples and parting is looking sparse too. Had the same with DS1 but it seems worse this time. Scared I'm going to be completely bald soon. Anyone else had this? What did you do? Thanks Blush

This happened to me too. Now 10m pp and the extreme fallout has stopped. At 4-6 months it was like finding kittens in my plughole. My hair is growing back but I won't lie it looks like shit no matter what I do as it's all around the front and temples and obviously the new hairs are only a few inches long, whereas the rest of them are long. Like a pp I avoided the hairdresser for ages in shame and terror. I should have gone sooner. Whatever hair is going to fall out will make its exit sooner or later. It really might as well be sooner!

Hi all my blood results were normal gp reassured me that is unfortunately completely normal and said to stop stressing about it as it makes it worse. Good news I have some baby hair growing back in my baldy temples.
mikesh I'm thinking of going to hairdressers and having a good condition and trim to at least make me feel a little pampered. Thanks everyone for replying Smile

If you have baby hair growing already that's brilliant! It will be back to normal in a few months. I have never ever noticed anyone else's hair thinning, ever... it's not something I notice. Yet it happens to most women! You notice it much more than anyone else will, so try not to worry (easier said than done, I know!)

Postnatal period is not the easiest for self-esteem, is it? I found it hard! Pampering is a BRILLIANT idea :)
