Yaaaaasssssss Mama!!!! Congratulations! And January again? Something to celebrate in March Wink My sisters 2 have birthdays one day after the other-must just be coincidence but I think it's quite funny.
Haha new, I thought the same when started reading socks message! You must be right about the dating, just wait till the time is right for you x
Holiday was braw thanks! Went to the south-east of Portugal, just 2km from the Spanish border and absolutely roasting. I missed the baby, but was lovely just to be able to do our own thing all the time.
I'm feeling fine thanks, but had a few niggles this time; hip pain from early on, waking up virtually every night, varicose veins, reflux - but I mustn't complain Grin That's me onto 2 weekly apps now so getting very excited.
Hope you are all well xxx

CantThinkofFunnyName · 02/05/2011 20:02

Hello everyone. I lurk on here now until I see that some others have posted and then decided to come back and wave Grin.

Mama - congratulations!! How wonderful and how funny about another Jan baby. All 3 of mine were January due. Olivia was due 7th Jan, Alex was due 26 Jan and Rhiannon was due 30 Jan. As it turned out Olivia was 9 days early and the other 2 were 9 days late so they're Feb birthdays. Something in the air around that time of year though for me!!!

Sock - welcome back to the world of hormones, spots etc Wink. Olivia shares Noops love of chocolate (like mother like daughter) Blush.

Fraochs - 11 weeks! Crikey - where did that time go?! Mind you, with the old SPD, I bet you've felt every day so far.

New - be happy with yourself first, then whatever happens after is a bonus, which includes meeting any man lucky enough to receive your time of day!

As for my menopause thing - well, Blush - I really do think it was the stop smoking tablets. Both DH and I have stopped them. We were supposed to take them for 3 months but were so antsy and well, really just plain nasty with each other (and the kids sometimes too Blush) we decided that it must be them and stopped. Thankfully - the not smoking seems even easier now and gone are the killing sprees!!! No cigs for over 10 weeks for both of us Grin.

Now I'm dieting and trying to lose the 1stone + that I put on in the past 10 weeks!!!

Right - that was my check-in. Byeeeeeee x

Mama Wooooo!! Massive congratulations! Thats lovely news.
To be honest I'd rather be pregnant than deal with AF, it's just been horrible as it ever was before. Night-time pads only lasting 1-2 hours before being soaked through. (sorry TMI). DH is breathing a huge sigh of relief though as he was getting worried.

Back to school today for the boys. Back to normality after the easter break. Bah!
CTFN Well done on the 10 weeks! Wow. Hope tempers will continue to be calm & zen.

Mama5isalive · 05/05/2011 08:56

Hi all - and a big thank you for the congrats!!!!!
CTOFN- yes well done on the 10 weeks fag free, keep it up will all be worth it to be healthy for you and the children.
SM- yeh i am very on point with my monthly time, so when it didnt arrive i knew straight away, but was denying it all, still early and kids dont have a clue as yet, will wait it out to make sure all is well, im avoiding the docs as well for now as well, just cant be asked for the blood tests and questions right now!Smile

quickchat · 06/05/2011 20:14

Congrats mama wow. So exciting when you get the blue lines isn't it.

Well done CTFN and glad you feel better.

CTFNI couldn't believe it on Saturday night I was out until 3.30am Shock and as if that wasn't enough, I was so drunk that when I had finished my dancing in a non dancing type pretentious bar, I went outside with my friend and had a cig Shock. I know, what am I, 12?

Fraoch, im totally confused. When I first read 11 weeks I thought you meant 11 weeks gone Shock. It just seems like you have only just announced the PG, I can't believe it.

I have 3.5 weeks to go before I move into our new house Confused.

I can't see how? DH swore blind it would be ready for end of May so we told landlord and he is all sorted to refill our place.

Went tonight and it is a building site. Mounds of earth all round the house....removal men....mounds of earth.....some cream carpets in rooms = not good.

No flushing toilets, no running water, bathrooms no where near ready. No appliannces. No work top. Concrete slabs over underfloor heating, not dried out. No flooring ordered. No turf ordered. No paths. No fireplaces. No decking, just large drop from back doors. No lighting and the best bit....No money left. Brilliant. That's DH just announcing the money bit to me now.

Im away to drink wine and possibly take up somking - what the hell.

quickchat · 06/05/2011 20:16

I might even try SMOKING too Blush.

Mama5isalive · 07/05/2011 19:18

OMG - Quickchat - what are you going to do????????
i would be so angry it would take more then a fag to calm me down!!!!!!!
was out having lunch with my pregnant friend and her hubby and she is so excited and wants to buy everything now! she has 5 months to go!!!! had to tell her to just focus on the baby bag for now, for money is a big issue with them not having regular work right now! felt bad but i have been told not to tell anyone until im at least 10 weeks so - my lips remained sealed!!!!!!
i actually hate the fact i found out so early ahhhhhhhhhh man!
we are now outgrowing our 3 bed and need a 5 bed at least or a good sized 4 bed!!!!!!!! just another thing to have to get sorted!!!!!!!
im off to lay down im knackered!!!!!!!Wink

sockmonkey · 10/05/2011 11:43

quickchat ARGH on your behalf! That is beyond a nightmare. Just hope they can pull a bit of a groundforce thing and get it all sorted quick smart.

mama are you buying or renting? Would a loft conversion work to create more bedrooms?

In baby news, we bought Noop her first pair of proper shoes. Got her measured at clarks, then bought shoes from eBay (Neglected third child anyone?) We forked out shoes for DS1 when he was a baby, but £25+ a time when they only last a few months seems rediculous now (but they did come in again for DS2.) She is a size 3, but I think they are still a bit big, cos she keeps falling over in them. Sunday she fell, and cos she was in a pretty sunday dress, she skinned her knees. Poor little love. That morning DS2 had trapped her fingers in a door too. She didn't have a very good day!

We also have the joy of her waking up with the sun. It's been 5.20 the last couple of mornings. It's alright for her cos she has a nap mid morning, but I'm worn out by 9pm.
Good job I love her really.

quickchat · 10/05/2011 20:44

Well everyone, update on skint with building site.

DH borrowed 14K (gulp) from his parents. Now im going to have to be nice to them, grrrr.

He also managed to get another month out of our grumpy landlord.

So im here until end of June which is good because I NEVER FECKING WANTED TO MOVE TO THE FECKING COUNTRYSIDE ANYWAY YOU BASTARD.

Ahhh, I feel all zen now I've got that off my chest.

and.... I nearly ebayed my brand new, £1300 sofa for 99p!
Being a technophobe, I have never sold anything on it before so I just thought id give it a whirl and sell the new furniture we bought in the January sales in a bid to get some cash.

I put it on as BUY IT NOW but somehow also left in auction and horrible people spotted my vurnability around the computer and were bidding pennies for it..
Anyway, a lovely chappy emailed me and told me I was a fanny and to sort it as legally id have to give it to the buyer.

I phoned my sister-in-law who is glued to her computer and she sorted it!Phew.

Who would have thought id ever be sitting one week thinking - thank god for my inlaws!

mama im guessing your friend is having her first?
if I had a third id buy nothing. I ended up changing Olivia on a towel on the bed and she slept on DH's chest!

I absolutely love this age. Olivia is scrummy cuteness IMHO!

Im loving the bouncy curls and the ta-doo (thankyou) stage.

The minute she enters the room she has me smiling and I see she does the same to DH. DS - not so much! He is Envy of her.

Poor thing. I wish DH wasn't working so much so I could take him out on his own more. He is a lovely wee boy on his own then acts up the whole time she is around.
We really must stop grinning and awww-ing at her!

Fraochsmum · 12/05/2011 11:55

Holy crap quick that's terrible!!! Fantastic that your inlaws were able to help you out, but not nice to be beholden to people you would rather not be. I got caught out with Ebay, well I say 'caught out', it was more like my fault Grin I bid £200 for something rather than £2 hahahaha what a fanny! Still, managed to sort it, well I say 'I', when I mean DH. Quite probably wondering he had married this total moron... That was very kind of the man btw.
I too am loving the wee hooligan that is Cara, she just smiles and laughs at everyone - I would probably get paranoid, but they all seem quite enchanted! She also shouts "Daddy!" quite a lot, which can fuel a lot of rumours in a wee town like this Grin
Shame about Noops knees sock :( I had a little accident with Cara yesterday, well I say 'accident', what I mean is I went to smell if she needed her nappy changed, forgetting I was at the door, and banged her bonce off the metal frame [verybadmummyemoticon]
Hope your health is good mama, how many weeks now?

Mama5isalive · 12/05/2011 21:32

Hi all - socks,quick and fraoch -
i actually feel worse for wear already i guess chasing around a 16mds!
we r renting from council - and have no chance of moving b4 bb so now looking to private renting!
lil man is on this " daddy please" and its winding me up, when i correct him he just smiles and says it again increasing his use of daddy!!!!
yes my friend is way ahead of me and its her first i actually feels she a bit "baby buying crazy" right now and its annoying her DH who is really worried about money!
ahhhhh im - 6w5d due according to the edd - 31/12/2011 - so lets just see!

sockmonkey · 13/05/2011 19:20

Mama... I remember the boys both calling me daddy, even though they knew that wasn't my name. My sis's boys did it too.
Hope you are feeling better soon. I guess telling you to rest up isn't really feasible, but do go as easy as you can x

Mama5isalive · 18/05/2011 17:21

wow its gone pretty quiet on here!!!!!!! Helloooooooooooooooooooooooo
went to my gp today, that is saying im a.fat,b.further on then expected or c. expecting twins!!!!!!!!!!!Shock im going with a. fat!!!!!!!!!!!! my poor dh went pale when he mentioned twins lol xxxxx need to wait for my scan date for all to be revealed!!!!!!!
hope all is well with all!

quickchat · 18/05/2011 20:51

Oooh Mama, id rather be fatGrin and definitely further on than expected would be nice.

Evan is 4 on Saturday Shock. Have a joint party in a hall with his friend the same age/birthday. Need to get my finger out as Im so unorganised as usual.

They both woke up choked with colds today and moooooaned all day, urgh.

Hope all the PG mama's are doing well. x

sockmonkey · 20/05/2011 12:12

Oh mama... Fingers crossed it's option 1 or 2 although if anyone could handle twins it would be you!
We've had a vomity bug here. Even baby caught it. Not impressed at cleaning up sick in the middle of the night. Think we are just about recovered, but still off food a bit. Noop has three back teeth through now & is working on number four. She looks grown up with a mouth full of teeth.
My friend had a baby last week. She seems so tiny in comparison with DD. She was still a couple of pounds bigger than Naomi when she was born. I will not get broody.

Mama5isalive · 21/05/2011 21:45

hi its really quiet on here we must be so busy!!!!!!
yeh quick & socks - i am not convinced of twins so aint worried about it!
will find out either way in 4 weeks - awaiting my scan app!

hope all is well and the bug has gone from your house socks!
broody bug sending via web to you xxxxWink

harumph quickchat "i was a right mn'r" as if i dont have anything else to do with my 6 children 2 cats 2 rabbits and a sugar loaf mountain of washing, really lol :)

sockmonkey · 23/05/2011 06:23

Superparty!!!! Welcome back & massive congratulations. Louie is beautiful! He does look like Erin doesn't he? Bet at this rate he will be the same size as her in a couple of months ;)

superparty · 23/05/2011 21:55

Hiya sock, thankyou for that, he is really sweet to, just the opposite of my very fiesty but equally lovable erin, she is so grown up in her manner speech everything really. she knows loads of words but we are also at the stage where no matter what word you say she repeats it so she calls baby a ickle boy cheeky bugger, she doesn't really like him much though she would much rather spend time with the older girls especially casey who has always acted like her little mum, but i'm quite suprised that casey doen't really bother with the baby either, them two girls are thick as thieves, they are gonna be trouble :) just need to work on his mardyness, loves cuddling mummy not so much the sleeping, he was 13 weeks before he stopped waking for a 3am feed, now feeds at 7pm and then 5am so not bad, but super is super no more am knackered.

hope you and noop are doing ok, any more babies for you?????

waves to everyone, how is cant new quickchatsneakwmdo crump ali and mummies2b fraoch and mama trying to catch me up and claim my super crown.

Mama5isalive · 24/05/2011 09:03

Hi super - welcome back and congrats on your lovely boy louie!
im not quite there yet but will be on 6 when this one comes!!!!!!!!!
need to get a 8 seater car now well a mini bus will be a better idea!
early stages i so for got about feel sick all the time and tired.com
my belly is here now trying to hide it but it sticks out like a ermmm big tum!!!
most of my work buds just think i'm fat and still carrying last load of baby weight!Wink
lil man has got a blocked nose and so is hard when he is drinking and eating but apart from when he is tired just gets on with things! while im at work he and dh are here chilling - oh i wish it was me! off to work now bye!

quickchat · 24/05/2011 20:09

Oh Super, thank god your ok. Hellooooooo and congratulations!

Has really cheered me up seeing your here and so is your little boy (who is a gorgeous lil man). I had all sorts going through my mind which just proves what a morbid worrier I am!!

Well, you were a right MN'r, I should know!

Um, I have to comment "he was 13 weeks before he stopped waking for the 3am feed"..........at 13 weeks my two just stayed up never mind one feed through the night. No bloody wonder you've had 6 you jammy moo!

If my two had slept 10 hours at 16 weeks id have another two by now Grin.

Erin is lovely too. She is obviously very clever with her speaking.

Olivia has had a slow start but she is picking it up now. She has started shouting to DH "Ikey" (Mikey) then laughing at herself.
She clearly thinks she can speak as she stands infront of me telling me a story with wide eyes, a concerned expression and loads of different vocal sounds. She then laughs at her own jokes and agrees with herself by nodding vigorously. Love this age.

Well, we have decided to sell the build in the countryside, pay back our debts and stay right here (yahoooooo)!

We are both much happier with that plan. DH was secretley starting to realise we'd be bloody bored out there and was hating the commute.

Will have to finish it and sell it though so will probably live there for 6 months/a year then buy something here.
Will keep Evan at nursery here and travel in everyday. Don't want to unsettle him too much and I have loads of friends/family and activities to keep me and Olivia occupied for a few hours before I take him home again.

Feel better but still very unsettling year ahead.

Right, well I can go for a bath and relax now knowing that Super is finally Partyofeight!

Fraochsmum · 27/05/2011 11:58

SUPER!! Lovely to have you back! Louie is a cutie pie, and so like Erin!
Really glad you have taken that decision quickchat, sounds like you are much happier and will be the best thing in the long-run.
Cara is not so great with the talking, but understands a hell of a lot! She repeats a few words all the time; daddy, see saw, row row, dogs. She calls me 'daddy' too Angry, even though she has said 'mummy' before. Think the wee bugher does it to wind me up!
Well that's me in the last 7 weeks Shock now. I saw the consultant on Wednesday, but because I retained my placenta the last time I will have to deliver in Glasgow. A bit disappointed, but if I heamorrhage badly if it happens again, then the quickest I could get shifted up there will be an hour even with the emergency helicopter.
Hope all are well xxx

sockmonkey · 06/06/2011 20:50

Well at long last the Noop is in her own room. It's taking a bit of getting used to, but touch wood it's going well so far and she does seem to be sleeping better (either that or I just don't hear her in the night)
I miss being able to check on her just by peering across the bedroom, & I also miss the glow of a night-light. I'm still having to rock her to sleep first, before putting her down. I used to be much tougher with the boys & just leave them to self settle, but I hate to hear her cry, plus I'm afraid she'll wake the boys. I'm such a soft touch.

Hope everyone is doing well. Enjoying the sun, and looking forward to summer holidays. DH is putting me to shame on his diet, he's lost over 1.5 stone in weight. Admittedly he has more to lose than me, but I just seem to have stopped. I've been doing the zumba on Wii which is lots of fun, really makes me sweat, but I'm not losing any weight. Still it's got to be making me fitter right? LOL.

Big summery hugs all round!

superparty · 09/06/2011 21:59
