Awww, Lottie they are just bea-utiful! You must be so very proud.

sockmonkey · 31/01/2011 17:16

Ok, have uploaded some newer pictures too.

sneakapeak · 01/02/2011 09:43

Lovely pics sock, Noop is very pretty, like her mum.

Is she more like her older brother too? Looks like it from the pics of boys near water.

So annoying, I want to do some shamless showing off of my two. I need to go to jessops to see if they will sell the lead I need to download.

My family in Canada have been asking for pics for a year now Blush.

Im killing time here as I've just dropped Evan at nursery and Olivia gone down for a sleep but for some reason, if I faff about the house before she is in a deep sleep she wakes up and refuses to go back down.

Hello all you old lot! Wonderful to see you all popping back on. I guess it's a nostalgic time for everyone.

Lottie - Olivia still having 2 sleeps a day too - although the afternoon nap is a bit hit and miss at the moment. If we're off out, it's fine - and she absolutely sleeps better at night if she has both naps, but if we're at home, I struggle to get her down pm. That being said, an hour ago, she started making "tired noises", gave her the dummy and she wandered over to the buggy and laid her head down. I promptly picked her up, put her in and she settled off for a nap Grin. Clever little girl!!!

Her routine is pretty much, up anything between 7-7.45am. Naps between 9-10.30; then again 2ish, bed by 6.45 latest.

Right - she is now clinging at my legs, throwing her head on the ground in temper and if she could speak anything other than xfdsklfjaskljkljslf it would be "FFS mum, play with me and stop pissing about on the computer" Grin".

Jacob only has one sleep after dinner so around 12 till 2-3 but from around 5.30 he is a monster he goes to bed around 6.30 and up at 7 (with god knows how many wake ups in the night grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)

He is currently talking down the baby monitor as if it's a phone lol.

Off to shatter my peace and quiet and pick the other 2 up from school.

Lovely pics sock :)

london Olivia sleeps twice too and won't sleep if we are out. I feel your pain!
Although my pain has been going on longer as Evan was exactly the same, not a pram sleeper but needed his naps. I blame my pram!

Don't stress though as anywhere in the month - 5 months at worst you will notice they are more alert all morning and taking longer and longer (and later) in nodding off for morning sleep and thats when your able to drop it until lunch time. It's sudden aswell so it might seem like there is no chance but it will happen. Just hope they do it at the same time Smile.

Hi, CTFN >waves Grin.

Mama5isalive · 02/02/2011 22:15

Hi all - nice to see more of us on here now!
SUPER - where are you??(tumbleweed flys passed)
its been abit hard trying to get back into the routine of working, home, mummytime, homework, dinner time bath time and bed!
i go to bed with the feeling of "have i forgot to do something important"
isaiah has loads of energy and enjoys making his dad run after him all day as he moves chairs throws dvds in the bin, opens the fridge, taking the pots out of the cupboards, throwing clothes into the bath, up the stairs
(didnt want to get a stair gate but may have to now)if you dont shut door his off!
its now after 10pm and he is showing no signs off being tired! i wonder if cutting his feds has what has cause this!Hmm Confused

Fraochsmum · 03/02/2011 12:27

Woweeee! Look at us all back here again! I'm in touch with a few of you through the old facebook, but really nice to hear how others are getting on.
Sock and lottie it's so nice to see your photos! I haven't uploaded any for a couple of months so really have to get my finger out.
I am now 16+4 and am still to 'feel' pg! Starting to get a bit of a gut and the boobage is on the increase again. Generally feel very well though and all tests came back clear and bloods (HPV?) were "excellent". Less than a month and I'll be halfway there Shock. Thanks for your comments btw!
Glad you have made the decision about the house sneak and great that you feel much better about it. Your description of Olivia is beautiful xxx
Cara doesn't always take a nap, but is good for me when she does Grin. I have cut out her bottles now (she was still on 4 a day plus 3 meals), but doesn't seem to take milk from anything else - any suggestions anyone? She has drank from a cup since 5 1/2 months, but refuses it if there's milk in it Biscuit.
Lovely to get this thread going again xxx

Mama5isalive · 03/02/2011 20:44

Hi Fraoch - 16+4 - that seems very quick, i guess it may not feel like that for you though!
i finally decided to take isaiah to the baby clinic ( was avoiding it for a while for these HV are abit full on trying to force what you should be doing with your baby although this aint my first!!!!! oldest is 16 didnt harm her while she was a baby) well as isaiah walked over to the table and stretched his arms up and said "uuhh" i placed him in the scales and as she wrote down she looked over and said shes cconcerned for he is not gaining weight as she would like ermmmmmmmm! ok i said so she wants me to see someone about his diet!!!! what diet he is hungry i fed him breakfast lunch and dinner nd 3 bottles aday!
he weight 7lbs 2oz at birth and the last time he was 15lbs.7(sept) then today 17lbs.13!!!!!!
should i be worried?????? he is showing so much progress and doing so much so lack of weight aint slowing down his milestonesHmm

Newbeginning1 · 04/02/2011 07:44

mama- is he petite within himself? I don't think you should be overly worried but I am a novice and Jack is most definitely built for comfort and not speed. Have you tried snacks as well to up his calorie intake? I think HVs do just need to be seen to be doing something a lot of the time

lottie - I do envy the girls and their nap times. Jack has never been a great sleeper and we have never had a proper routine so getting him to sleep in the day, especially when he's at nursery is a nightmare. If you try and push their naps back does that work? What happens if you're out for the day with naps? I must have a look at your pics

Fraoch - my gosh, I can believe you're nearly half way there, time has flown. Are you finding out the flavour at your next scan?

sneak - thank you for the words of wisdom. I am conscious I do the whole it will be better when he's crawling, when he's walking and now when he's talking. I don't think this mothering malarky comes naturally to me but we are getting there. I'm sure I'll keep doing it until he's 18!!

Ctofn- you make me laugh with Olivias inner monologue. I would love to know sometimes what they actually think and whereas we struggle to understand the babbling i have this sneaking suspicion the babies are thinking that we are the silly adults who think they know everything but we aren't talking properly. Maybe that's just me Blush

Have a great weekend everyone x

Mama5isalive · 05/02/2011 00:25

Thanks New - yes he is all over petite and if i had any concerns i would def understand but nahhhhhhh!!!!!! you just cant get babies to fit in a "mould" all different!!!!!Hmm
routine - hahahaahah wots that! isaiah doesnt settle at night unless bottle in mouth or in our arms!!!!!! and before night is over ends up in the bed with us! the best contraception ever made!!!!getting any would be a miracle!!Wink
am i the only one who still has "3 in the bed"
tried getting strict with him but he crys blue murder!!!!!!!i think i will get the inner strength to do it especially whilst we go on hols in 4 weeks- CANT WAIT"
anyone else out there planning any hols?????

Oh Super - I pray all is really well with u and yours xxx

sneakapeak · 05/02/2011 19:03

looks around room for super, harumph>

MissMarjoribanks · 05/02/2011 19:54

Hello everyone. Not been on for ages. I never did fix my scales and was too embarrassed to come back. Blush

It is lovely to see all these babies one year on. Lottie - the twins are gorgeous! Congrats Fraoch on the pregnancy.

Thomas is 14mo, 12.5mo adjusted. He is just starting to crawl on hands and knees but has been commando crawling and pulling up to standing for a while since before Christmas.

He shouts dadadadadada and the odd other bits of wfkiluaddghsahsgdq type stuff. He points to everything he wants or wants to see and throws a tantrum if he doesn't get it. He has 7 teeth.

We quit BFing about three weeks after his first birthday - moving straight onto a cup with no problems. He eats like a trooper.

I went back to work 3 days at the beginning of Jan and I'm really enjoying it. Thomas is at nursery and has settled in with no problems at all - he is described as the baby who is always smiling. Grin I have been asked to consider doing a 4th day at work (but from home) and might well do.

sneakapeak · 09/02/2011 12:56

I see the last time super was on here was 10th dec Hmm, is that right?

I looked on her ante natel thread and it was 9th Dec.

Is she not very regular on here anyway or is that strange?

Hope she is ok.

Mama5isalive · 09/02/2011 17:43

Ohhhhhhhhhhh wow not too sure how regular super was???
Please am i the only one here who ends up with my baby in the bed when he wakes up?????????
im waking up shattered because never get a good sleep when he comes in about 4. 4.30am ?
also Anyone here thinking of having another at the moment - right here i have a few people around me pregnant and close babies comin in sept!!!!! does 6 sound like a big handful???
although it would only be 4 birth children!
lol im nutssssssConfused just gone back to work i think my mind is trying to work out ways for me to stop again!

sneakapeak · 09/02/2011 21:38

Ha, Mama. Yes im thinking on and off about a thrid but im a bit scared.

Had many PG complications and now I have an under active thyroid, on meds. I suffered serious anxiety after both and am only just recovering from Olivia so id be nuts - but yes, im broody!

No, im lucky with my two sleep wise, sorry.

maygirl · 09/02/2011 22:34

DD in bed with us here mama... snap!

I'm so not broody, apart from v brief moment watching one born every minute on Monday when the mum sniffed her new baby's head, aww ! Not gone back to work though Wink

DD one today :), think she must be the 'baby' of the thread!

She's down to one long nap after lunch usually, and often have to wake her for the school run, bed around 7.30/8pm.

Glad Thomas settled so well MMB

Mama5isalive · 09/02/2011 23:37

@ stop agin i refer to work!
@sneak always wanted a big family just never thought it would be so big always loved the number"4" ,2 of each! i always say "babies dont asked to come they just do" so im leaving it to nature!

right now he is in the cot asleep so maybe i should try to sleep now also!
nite

Mama5isalive · 10/02/2011 20:15

not "agin" i mean "again"!!!!!!Biscuit

Newbeginning1 · 16/02/2011 20:29

mama - DS was out of my mattress on the floor before Xmas. It had got to the point that I was too distracting for him and he would rather touch my face than go to sleep. I got to the point where something needed to change because we were both grumpy from being tired. Do you want your bed back or are you quite enjoying the snuggles?

maygirl - I hope your DD had a great 1st birthday

sneakapeek - do you think you will have another one then? The thought of having more than 1 child scares me lots as 1 is so much hard work.

Well my recent drama is that DS spilt a cup of tea down himself at the group I was running in February to try and increase numbers. There was an ambulance and sirens and we were taken to the burns unit etc. He's got superficial burns on his tummy and on his arm and there was talk of grafts but today when they were redressed they look as though they are nearly healed which is such a relief!!

Right, I'm off to post on the AIBU board. Wish me luck Wink

sneakapeak · 17/02/2011 19:58

I don't know new. I wish I didn't want another if that makes sense Hmm.
I think life would be easier all round if I just stuck to the two I have.

Seeing Olivia toddle about with her two teeth grin and little giggle makes me want to scream STOP GROWING! Maybe I will get over it when life starts getting much easier again.

That must have been awful new, absolutely terrifying. Im so glad he is alright but I bet you still feel sick about it. Sad.

What is AIBU?

Newbeginning1 · 18/02/2011 12:48

I'm the same sneakapeek. All of a sudden Jack has grown up and is a real little person and I can't really remember those days when he was a fresh newborn and all the cuddles and things like that. Maybe ive blocked it out of my mind because it wasn't the easiest time Blush What does your DH say about it?

AIBU is am I being unreasonable but I didn't end up posting there, I went for employment issues. My boss seems to be trying to screw me over and use the fact I'm part time so I don't do anything interesting. I got that promotion before I left and it seems that's disappeared but im still being paid the higher salary. I feel like I'm being completely paranoid and I'm going crazy but then when I speak to other people about it they think the same. I'm also sure they're trying to do what they can to manage me out or make me leave but they're being clever about it. Maybe I need to be put in a padded cell?! Hmm

How is everyone else doing? Am I one of those thread killers that posts and then the thread goes quiet again????

sockmonkey · 19/02/2011 10:40

Hello all.
Sorry I've not been on in a bit.
We had first steps last week, but they have not been repeated. I thought she'd be toddling round by now, but it was just the once. Hmm

Had her next injections on thursday... oh boy did she scream... could have shattered glass. Was expecting crying but not screaming.

New hope he's still healing nicely. poor little chap, must have been a scare for all of you.
