ScarletBandit · 26/09/2009 23:54

Evening ladies I am sober tonight you will be pleased to know!

Just popping in to say goodnight. My mate has been over for some food and a chick flick dvd which was fab. Dh not home until Tuesday, and then I will be off to work a night shift! Anyway, night all x

elkiedee · 27/09/2009 00:41

PMSL at SB, glad you had a good time. Hope M had a lovely birthday POTC, wow at him being 6 already.

oooggs · 27/09/2009 19:46

evening - very quiet today

ScarletBandit · 27/09/2009 20:31

I am here, hello!

Sexonlegs · 27/09/2009 21:25

Hiya. Here too; just done the old Tesco on-line order for tomorrow evening

How is everyone?

All good here. Had a great day with my Mum and Dad over for lunch. Always leaves me though with a slight feeling of sadness Finding the whole thing really tough atm.

xx

ScarletBandit · 28/09/2009 10:24

How is she doing atm SOL? I remember you saying that she was on a new drug. I can totally understand why you would feel sadness, I would be exactly the same.

And on a totally different note, do you remember the Gower Heritage Centre where I met up with you and the dc's last year? Ds has gone off on a school trip there today. He asked me where it was and so I described to him the place we had visited. He remembered racing the ducks down the river, and he also remembered playing with B!

ScarletBandit · 28/09/2009 10:26

I say that with more than a bit of surprise, since I can barely remember what I did yesterday!

Sexonlegs · 28/09/2009 11:40

Hi SB, mum is doing fine to be fair; the drug, Avastin is working magic. I suppose I am worried about what happens after the end of January, as she can only have it until then. She looks great and says she feels good which is encouraging. I am positive and upbeat 99% of the time; every now and then I wobble.

I do remember the Gower Heritage Centre; we had a fab time there Hope E has a great day there with school. xx

elkiedee · 28/09/2009 13:39

SOL, it's sad to have to worry about your mum, hope she continues doing as well as now, and that the drug will have done its work by January. Can we send you a stock of virtual hugs to dip into at those wobbly moments?

ScarletBandit · 28/09/2009 19:58

Totally understandable to have a wobble now and then SOL. Really encouraging that she looks and feels so well now though

Ds had a fab day out with school but was a little disappointed that they didn't do the duck racing down the river!

My dc's are both in bed so I am going to sit down with a glass of wine (just the one tonight) and watch Eastenders. Oh the life eh!

oooggs · 28/09/2009 20:12

wine sounds like a good idea sb!! might join you

sol - feel free to wobble - I can't even begin to imagine how you cope with something like this

elkie - glad to hear that D & C get on well

Erin room now has 1st coat of paint on the walls!!!!

ScarletBandit · 28/09/2009 20:53

What colour are you painting it oooggs? Really need to do something with F's room, but I just don't seem to find the time atm.

oooggs · 28/09/2009 21:03

Dulux Sweet pink & lemon pie on opposite walls (lemon on window wall) with pink gingham curtains (which I am yet to buy material for and start making)
With this seaside duvet matching lampshade and cushions to go on the futon. Ashley white furniture from Argos this is the chest of drawers

Apologies for those of you I have already told about this

Eddas · 28/09/2009 21:14

Hi everyone

SB you did make me chuckle the other day I'm sure i've done a similar thing before

Belated Happy birthday to M POTC

SOL, I know exactly what you are going through with your mum. I'm glad she's feeling well atm

ScarletBandit · 28/09/2009 21:37

Eddas, I am glad I entertained you!! I was very drunk (as if you didn't notice!)

Oooggs, her room is going to be gorgeous once it's finished. So grown up too, can't believe they are already 2.5 years old.

Sexonlegs · 28/09/2009 21:45

Evening

Lovely to see people!

SB, bless E and his disappointment in the lack of duck racing!

Oooggs, E's room sounds lovely. We need to do something about K's room. We need to move her in to the spare room which is bigger. Really need to re-jig B's room as well; not making the best use of the space. She really wants one of those cabin bed set-ups.

Eddas, long time no see I hope my ramblings about my mum don't open up wounds. xx

Elkie, thank you for the virtual hugs; I will enjoy those

SPB, how are your 2!!

Dooby, how's you?

All ok here, although K has been a bit hit and miss today. She has also managed to jam 1 or 2 CDs in my car CD player. Anyone any ideas as to how to retrieve them!!??
Dh off tomorrow again for 2 nights

Bramshott · 28/09/2009 21:55

Hello all - I'm here but full of snot and feeling sorry for myself. I have a busy week, so this cold needs to be gone by Wednesday morning - okay????? Do you think it will listen to me?!

Doobydoo · 29/09/2009 08:49

Hi All

SOL..Hope you ok.You are certainly entitled to wobble...it must be a strain Obviously I hope so much that your mum continues to improve.
Bramshott hope your SNOT goes...you tell it
I bet Erin will be chuffed with her room OOOGGS[and you too]
All ok here.
Tax credits rang at 5.30 last night...I nearly fainted that is the first time EVER..Hopefully we are getting somewhere.
Start nursey course next Tues[eeeeek]
Hoping to specialise in Neonatal nursing eventually...that is if I can get through this and get a job which I feel unsure about brain wise at present.
Hope you all have a good day.
x

oooggs · 29/09/2009 21:12

Evening

dooby - progress at last

katy - how are T and A?

sol - get designing those girls rooms

bramshott - hope the cold leaves as quick as it came

Bramshott · 29/09/2009 21:25

The cold seems to have listened to me, and is mostly gone . Good. I have several meetings and a child-free lunch in London tomorrow, so I don't want to be red-nosed and dripping!

Dippy - did you get my email about your address? Can you text it to me?

Doobydoo · 29/09/2009 21:33

DS1 HAS his Blue Belt in Taekwondo now.I am so chuffed and so is he.He was very nervous at grading on Sunday so Hurrah.
Glad cold has gone Bramshott.
M wanted to wear ds1's cycle helmet to bed but on balance he decided it would not be comfortable

StealthPolarBear · 30/09/2009 10:53

lost you all off threads Im on.
Not caught up and A is waking up so back very soon x

StealthPolarBear · 30/09/2009 11:06

And she's asleep again - I sometimes wonder if she's actually related to T
SOL I was wondering the other day how your mum was doing. Why can she only have the drug until January, if you don't mind me asking? Hope it continues to do its stuff.
Bramshott, how's the cold?
All fine here, going to struggle I think to cope with T once DH has gone back but nothing major. They are both lovely. SHe has put on 10oz since birth 11 days ago

ScarletBandit · 30/09/2009 12:22

Hi SPB! I am not sure whether you have read back to my drunken congratulations to you from last weekend so I shall say it again, CONGRATULATIONS ON BEAUTIFUL BABY ALICE! Glad to hear she is a good sleeper, the joy of second babies! How is T taking to her?

Dooby, congrats to ds1, I bet he is so proud of himself. He deserves a bit of good luck after the problems he has had in school this year x

Not much going on here except for my domestic goddess status I am making a roast dinner for tea tonight, but am also using up lots of apples and pears to make a lovely crumble for pud. Just call me Nigella

StealthPolarBear · 30/09/2009 12:30

I did thanks Nigella, but forgot again, sorry, pregnancy brain, I mean newborn brain
Thanks!
T is doing really well, just wants to look after her and get involved. When he hears her crying (nappy change) in the morning he runs down the stairs shouting "I COMING ALICE!" so he can hold her hand aaahhhhhhh I'm all emotional.
