Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
foxytocin · 17/09/2009 22:23

woman! how dare you go into labour now. don't you know i have work in the morning?

StealthPolarBear · 17/09/2009 22:24

so does DH and he's very upset as apparently it's "sausage sandwich Friday". And he didn't get one last week. Awwww

noddyintoyland · 17/09/2009 22:25

loving your DH priorities...sounds just like mine!
Have your parents collected T yet?

foxytocin · 17/09/2009 22:27

ask him if he'd prefer a knuckle sandwich tonight.

noddyintoyland · 17/09/2009 22:29

Meant my DH priorities not mine by the way!!

Northernlurker · 17/09/2009 22:31

He can have a sandwich in the hospital canteen. Honestly - men - no bloody imagination!

Seriously though - will be praying for you and the little one tonight SPB.

StealthPolarBear · 17/09/2009 23:06

yes, parents been and gone, DH in bed, I might go to bed too, unless that stops them
Thanks NL!

Northernlurker · 17/09/2009 23:30

If your waters haven't gone then you could get into some hot nooky with dh - that'll keep things ticking along

Or maybe just a cuddle

StealthPolarBear · 17/09/2009 23:31

I really don't think that's likely but make me laugh

Northernlurker · 17/09/2009 23:36

Oh well a laugh's as good as a shag in keeping the labour going - old mumsnet proverb that I've just made up

I have to go to bed now - but all the best

StealthPolarBear · 17/09/2009 23:38

I will re-use that one at an appropriate moment
Well I'm off for a bath, apparently it'll either hurry things up or slow them down so putting my natural dislike for them aside.
Night xx

elkiedee · 18/09/2009 00:50

Ooh, the heading's bringing some gatecrashers on I see. I have my bag with my phone upstairs SPB, will hope to learn your good news, will have to put it where I can find it easily to check when C wakes up for a feed.

Come on SPC(ub)

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2009 06:59

Missing T although mum said he'd had a good night

Sexonlegs · 18/09/2009 07:47

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2009 09:06

OP posts:
cazboldy · 18/09/2009 12:29

I was ready to come here and find out it had all happened already - but no.......

you need to do what they do on the tele...

walk for miles wihout taking your phone

how late are you now? ds1 was 6 days overdue, bu all the others were quite punctual

Dishy farrier due here at about 1 pm

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2009 12:47

this baby is 6 days overdue. Still having contractions but nothing that's making me think I should go in yet.
Enjoy the dishy farrier

Northernlurker · 18/09/2009 12:52

Ok hang in there SPB - see you should have had that shag after all! Is dh nearby? Best thing to do is to send him off to buy something non-essential from a shop at least an hours drive away. You'll be birthing on the bathroom floor before you know it once you've done that. Either that or put down some brand new carpet and stand on it - that would break your waters quicker than anything else science has devised!

nevergoogledragonbutter · 18/09/2009 13:00

oh do hurry up dear!

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2009 13:14

All our carpets are pretty new as we only moved in a couple of years ago. Pity DH's car is really old, or I could sit in his pride and joy - don't think he'd care now. Maybe I should go and squat over his speakers.
Just had a text from DH's cousin, his wife started having contractions at midnight We were both due on the same day - can't believe the babies might be born on the same day (no idea which day that will be )

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2009 13:14

Sorry db am I keeping you from something?

Doobydoo · 18/09/2009 14:17

COME ON BABY BEAR

StealthPolarBear · 18/09/2009 14:19

Contractions are 5 mins at the moment, but that's only been since 2pm so I think I need to wait a bit longer.
How bad are they going to get? At the moment I need to walk round and shout ow when I'm having one but they're not unbearable. Was I just more of a wuss last time or do I have loads further to go?
