sol - have some choc & a glass of wine

nowt much going on here either

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2009 20:16

eek sorry caz, forgot you had posted a photo in my haste to spread A over the web. I can't get it to work either - was it just for a set time?

foxytocin · 21/09/2009 20:35

oh I don't think you can wrap them too tight. tight is good. it keeps their little back straight so they don't end up folding over.

StealthPolarBear · 21/09/2009 20:54

I assumed you'd say that but did plan to check! I decided that they were pretty tight in the womb so as long as I'm not doing anything stupid (wrapping baby in 'the splits' position) then they probably aren't going to be harmed by stretchy fabric.

Bramshott · 22/09/2009 09:54

Ohh, she is lovely Katy!

Doobydoo · 22/09/2009 15:13

Lovely pics spb...well done

StealthPolarBear · 22/09/2009 15:36

She sleeps for hours and I end up waking her to feed her - remind me, is that normal when they're this tiny??

Bramshott · 22/09/2009 16:07

I think so - enjoy it while it lasts - it'll probably all be different by the weekend!

StealthPolarBear · 22/09/2009 16:19

phew..am getting a bit concerned. think i'll start keeping a record of her feeds. T slept a lot but had hour long feeds - hers seem to be 10 mins

Bramshott · 22/09/2009 16:37

I also found that with O I was waking her to feed her much more than I did with N, just because it wasn't always convenient to wait until she "asked" for milk, but rather shovel it in when I had time - i.e. before picking up Niamh from nursery etc.

StealthPolarBear · 23/09/2009 20:03

where is everyone?
Is this AN thread on its way out?
(Good one to end on - about me )

runnyhabbit · 23/09/2009 20:46

Hello there

Spb - A is lovely x

oooggs · 23/09/2009 21:02

I hope not Katy, I am around, just went to a Guiders meeting last night so no time to pop by

Sexonlegs · 23/09/2009 21:37

Hi there. Here too; just back from a PTA meeting

How are you getting on SPB?

SB hasn't been around for a while has she?

Hope everyone is ok. All good here. Dh back at 10 last night and not away again for about 10 days. Finding K a handful atm, and B is hard going too. Have bought a book recommended to me called Diva's and Dictators (about how to change childrens' behaviour) - just need to find time to read it now

CaptainDippy · 24/09/2009 11:32

Awww, my friend who is staying and I think Alice is VERY cute SPB

Can't see Caz's pic Could you email it?

captain_dippy "at" yahoo "dot" co "dot" uk

Life going at 1200mph here as always ....

Did you get the shoes Bramshott? Are they ok?

OP posts:
cazboldy · 24/09/2009 11:52

will add a proper one later x

Bramshott · 24/09/2009 11:54

Ws just popping on to post Dippy! They have just arrived (5 mins ago!) I will leave them for little-miss tiny feet to open, as they are addressed to her!

And thanks for your tip about Sundays - however, if I can't even make it 2 miles down the road by 9.15, frankly there is sod all chance of me making it to Eastbourne by that time !

runnyhabbit · 24/09/2009 18:23

Joshua has got homework, and I am about it. We've got to do a family tree, with pictures/photos on A4 sheet, up to grandparents (and great gp if the dc are close to them, its all about family who are special)

The reason behind my ? Because dh has 5 siblings, most with oh, and some have children. J knows who his ggp are (on dh side anyway) so will have to find room for them.

Aahh...I knew parenting was a challenge...just hadn't figured homework into the equasion

StealthPolarBear · 24/09/2009 19:04

hi everyone
could you include me in the email caz - I'm KateFallon..?
shattered. been down to MIL's (just me and A) as she was having a party. off there again to see BIL and SIL on saturday. what happened to having the first week as a family??

elkiedee · 25/09/2009 00:21

Hi all

We can't let this thread fizzle now, I know it's been very quiet recently and I've been posting mostly on my new postnatal threads, sorry. But I want to know how all our April/May/March 07 babies and their siblings/parents etc are doing. Forever.

CaptainDippy · 25/09/2009 07:13

I'm still here. Forever.

If that DH putting pressure on you to attend these things, SPB?? Cos that's unfair - definitely time to be together as a family and get as much rest as poss while DH is on PL xx

Right, best crack on ....

Glad shoes arrived for Little Miss Tiny-Feet Bramshott. BTW, our service doesn't start til 11am on a Sun am; so you might just make it

OP posts:
oooggs · 25/09/2009 08:41

I can't keep up with the new postnatal - I like you lot!!! especially as I have met the lucky ones

runny - cool homework - we just have spelling & reading this week

sol - hope you find time to read the book (& put it into action!!)

hey dippy - how are those lovely girls?

elkie - conor ok? how has danny adjusted?

Bramshott - you all ok?

Katy - hope things good with your yummy addition

news here:
James - loving school still
Erin - bedroom decorating under way
Jack - recovering from an ear infection
Luke - 5 teeth, sleeps 12 hours right through at night, takes all day time naps in cot (1 hr am, 2 hrs pm) - why weren't the others like that??????

I have been busy with Guiders meetings all week & dh currently on a sub under the river for 12 hours!!

I will keep this thread/postnatal chat going on my own by talking to myself on a daily basis if I have to

elkiedee · 25/09/2009 10:34

Responding to Oooggs, generally, I think Danny's great with Conor. He is of course only 2 and is big for his age, and sometimes has to be restrained from trying to pull C around. He varies on his toys, sometimes he wants to take baby toys off C and other times he'll offer him anything and everything! I was very nervous about looking after both of them together on my own but most of the time it was ok, with a few scary moments, like thinking D was going to run out of a cafe door and into a very busy main road and trying to stop him while I was holding C.

SOL, hope you find the book helpful.

StealthPolarBear · 25/09/2009 10:38

Hi everyone
Glad the agreement is that this thread needs to keep going even if posts are days apart
oooggs at L's sleep!
CD - no no pressure really from DH. Bit from MIL but TBH I want to go to these things. DH's cousin had a baby 13 hours after and 2oz less than A so I got to see her yesterday. Tomorrow BIL and SIL are visiting MIL and they'd love to see her. Just wish I could do both, plus a bit at MIL-in advance of yesterday she didn't imagine there could be a problem with us going down, despite being 6 days PN. Tomorrow she's asked us to go down there as if BIL and SIL came to see us it'd add an extra hour on to their (about 2 hour) journey. Ermm OK. Not only that but we can never pop in, we always get pressure when we decide we need to leave to "juststay for another cup if tea...you don't have anything you need to do at home". Nice that they like us there so much but frustrating!

Northernlurker · 25/09/2009 22:59

Just seen on the news that a car drove into a group of school kids this afternoon in Suffolk. Sounds like some were quite badly hurt but none killed thank God. I have no idea where Caz and her brood live but it is down that way isn't it? Hope everything is ok with them (as well as for the poor mites involved)
