Just realised that tomorrow is finally June. So here's a big Happy Birthday to One and All. Right who's first (of us that are still around, natch)?

Thanks for starting this moonshine. SCotts is the 19th so there are a few before I think. I think quite a few qith in the same week.

Blimey - was a shock seeing that - can't believe it's here already!!!

Fin's is 17th

Alex's is on the 10th (as is Zebra's or whatever the current name is??) but remember Skara had an end of May baby. Don't know if she even occasionally lurks now or has left us forever.....

He's discovered bouncing on the sofa last week which is very sweet. Obviously his legs stay on but his legs bend and bow. Had a heartstopping few moments yesterday. My idiot of a dh left a gate open (unbeknowst to me) and Alex duly went to investigate and fell down about 11 steps . Luckily he cried straight away but not for long and moments later was back to being his usual inquistive, talkative, walking self. He can't have fallen on his head really (luckily). But in my search for bumps I found some more cradle cap at the front of his hairline - thought that was a thing of the past.

MS- Glad Alex is ok after his little fall.
Scott will crawl everywhere, he is pulling himself up on the furniture and will climb all over you. He stands really well holding onto to something but can't manage a second standing unaided. He has managed a few step swith his walker until he let go with one hand and fell and twisted himself round still with one hand on it.

he doesn't like to give himself a bottle he likes to be cuddled and fed his milk. He will sit up and take his water. But even with his milk he has to be in a certain positin to take it .!!! Scott doesn't like useing a training cup neither he just chews it rather than drinking from it. Bless them .

I had him weighed this morning he now weighs 19lb 5oz, and is 73 cm long. ( this has bewen classed as his 1yr weig in as only get to clinic in school holidays dure to him being at creche on a wednesday normally.

The year just sped past didn't it? Quite scary really, soon they'll be all grown up and wont need their mums anymore

He loved his birthday, we went out to an italian restaurant and he ate non-stop for 1 1/2 hrs. then was up all night vomiting, don't feed a baby smoked haddock risotto! I'm feeling a bit sick too, but think that's because of the 5 slices of malteaser cake I ate yesterday, and the slice I had this morning.

What about a trip to the zoo? I really wanted to take bean there but the weather wasn't too good yesterday. went shopping for pretendy phones for him and then ate and ate and ate for the rest of the day!

Grace's birthday is not till thw 23rd. We're having a birthday afternoon tea gathering for her - just family really. Can't be bothered organising anything but feel I should as we did for dd1.

Ooooh, hello everyone! DS2 is one on the 10th - we're having a family party on the 12th.
After cruising from a very early age (6m), he's still not walking! In fact, if I'm around, he demands to be picked up at every available opportunity... Just started trying to feed himself. Also just started sleeping through . He seems much more of a baby at this age than his big brother was - anyone else found that?

SP _ find Scott alot more babyish from what I can remember of DD at this age. Not sure what doing for his bday yet as it is also Fathers Day. My dad will be here visiting as we have a ball onthe friday Night. Will have to wait and see. Probably just do him a cake and have a nice family tea.

Awwww... cute thread title. I am presenting a pile of little round biscuits with lots of candles to T. for his birthday (16th). The big kids get to blow out the candles & everybody gets a bickie.

Ok I have been spurred on to do something for poor little ds and will attempt to bake only my second cake ever this week. But we have nothing special planned. I am feeling slightly guilty now considering the fuss we made of dd (and it's all on video!).

Alex is definitely so much more of a hand-full than dd ever was - is this a gender thing?? His favourite things are throwing everything through the bannisters down the stairs, pulling everything out of the cupboards/washing machine/drawers/low shelves, pulling the knobs off things etc etc...aaaaarrrghhhhhhhh! But he is so sweet when music is being played - he holds his arms up and parades around the room humming away. He also unfortunately HATES his shoes with a passion. But loves trying to get away from me in shops whilst clinging onto me in the flat. Sigh.

Oh and happy belated birthday to bean junior!

Yes boys are more of a handful than girls, in my limited & rather selective experience.

But I find the boys easier on the whole because they are so transparent, i know what they are thinking & wanting. With DD it's like an opaque mystery, she keeps so much to herself. She's obedient & compliant by nature, so then she doesn't stand up for herself very well (the boys have no problem asserting themselves). And yet DD is more sensitive, more easily scarred, at the same time she is easier to bully; too easy to trample over her feelings. I find DD much harder to be a good parent to, even though she was an "easier" baby.

But the other thing is that DD is now (at rising 4yo) does a lot of the annoying behaviors that DS1 did at 18 months. At coming up to 4yo DD gets "into things" like DS did at 18 months. DD is clumsy, lost in her own little world, not paying attention, turns helpless, can't follow consequences she was more mindful & careful at 2yo! She's going the same clumsy/meddling stage the boy did, but much later. But one thing about being a girl makes her worse with her fine motor dexterity (her brothers completely lack) she picks things apart if given the chance. I have to watch her more now than ever.

Wow Zebraz, you are describing my dd! She is very sensitive, essentially a well-behaved girl (but who still loes to see how far she can push the boundaries at just turned 4) but her mind is a real mystery to me. In retrospect she was a very easy baby. I'm finding Alex incredibly hard work atm so will hope that after the inevitable temper tantrums stage, he will get a lot easier then!

Hi, It is Karen01 /hotmummy -changed my name again and I think this one is more me!!.

We have got Scott a SLide and a litttle rocking thing and sometoys for the bath for his BD. Still not sure what we are going to do, probably just go out for the day to the beach or a pool.

Well that's a nice optimistic name - I like it! Am that you can just hop on down to the beach. I'd love to live by the sea (actually at the moment I would like to live anywhere apart from my small, shabby flat where we are all under each other's feet which probably explains the hot tempers.)
