Nothing exciting...tried to go for a mini-picnic in the cathedral grounds but were harassed by a wasp and then chased away by random torrential rain (do I get exercise points for looking like I swam home?) Then just bummed around at home with boy. So yes, actually, very nice

aw Sazzles sounds like a lot of hard work for a Friday, or any day. Have they gone yet?

....tomorrow, tomorrow, we love you tomorrow, you're only a day away....

oh dear I feel I was quite the lazy house-guest the other week. I don't think I put anything in your dishwasher.

yes, now I was very helpful in emptying those annoying wine bottles that were cluttering the place up.

Wine o'clock has come early here

Sazz your DSis and her DH sound a right pair Hope you survive unscathed. How long are they here for?

Steaky family are a different kettle of fish when it comes to visiting and should not expect to be waited on hand and foot. I'd like to see any of my family try it Whereas exotic foreign visitors deserve pampering and filling up with wine

steaknife · 28/08/2009 20:49

and, I let you feed me tea and chicken sarnies the next day. See lovely, lovely house guest me.

TwilightSurfer · 28/08/2009 20:50

i was just reading and waiting for sazzdsis & family to be compared to transatlatic truckers. honestly yours sounds a bit like mine (db&fam) but since he no longer speaks to me (only sends me junk on fb) i suppose i'll never be in your position again. {{{hugs}}}

reese is sitting at my feet in a daze. she's just not herself today. that said she's still not fussy, only quiet and forlorn.

no wine here, keep forgetting to buy any. Had to drink the dregs of the pastis last night.

oopsacoconut · 28/08/2009 20:53

Just honme with a DD who slept the whole way home so is not bouncing off the walls. DH ordered kids channels on Sky so she is being forced to watch watching paddington.

Mmm Dim Sum

Will ask about waxing over here, seems silly to be chatting on two threads Sazz I am waiting for the wax to arrive but am a chicken am wondering about the timing. We are going on hols 5 weeks tomorrow () so if I do it now will I just be left with fluffy legs too short to re wax when I go?

dizzydixies · 28/08/2009 21:08

tired tired tired here and am working tomorrow from 6.30am so was just catching up before shower/bed

back to the hellhole grindstone that is work tomorrow so possibly absent for a few days but will try to keep up

banana and pecan loaf for anyone who wants some and before you start Sazz there's fecking fruit in it

hotterpotter · 28/08/2009 21:10

Noooo Dizzy, step away from the devil cake Hope work isn't too grim sweetie

dizzydixies · 28/08/2009 21:13

I haven't had any of it at all Hots and I didn't try any of the apple cake I'd made during the week either

work shall hopefully be aided by the (very shallow and pathetically materialistic) fact I am going in my cousins 2 seater black convertible mercedes SLK that my aunt came up in - tis no use for her having the girls so she gets the mummy bus and I get the merc

hotterpotter · 28/08/2009 21:15

Good girl Wow, a Merc, knock 'em dead (literally/not literally, you decide )

certainly nothing that I could afford or be ableto use practically so I may refuse to get out of it all day until at least 6 people I know see me - that is if I can fit in the fecking thing, my cousin is tiny

hotterpotter · 28/08/2009 21:18

And what about blotching? Will my legs look awful after the event? Not that I will be letting them out as it is fecking freezing in Yorkshire at the moment

Have only had one wine so far and I am a leetle bit pissed already
