Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Jas · 09/12/2009 17:45

Yes, fairly busy with Christmassy stuff....

I hope all are well on here. I've just not got time t keep up at the moment.

csws.....do you still have the shoes I left at your place last year??

DS is a disaster at night time at the moment, and turns ff the computer if I'm on it when he is up, dds have shows and parties and clubs to get to and from.
I haven't dne enough present shopping yet either....

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/12/2009 18:36

Yes - I still have them stashed away in the top cupboard in the hall Jas. Can't believe that I've not seen you all year to give them back! Do you need them for Christmas parties?

Jas · 09/12/2009 23:19

I remembered them when I went out last week, but it would be cheaper to get you to post them than buy more......I don't need them that urgently, but could you send them to me and I'll refund the postage?

I know, I understand that all the extra babies makes everyone else busier, but why am I busier and more run down??

I think it gets harder as they get older.
Sorry. Not having a god evening (again) with ds.

damewashalot · 10/12/2009 13:47

See, this is why I should come on here and not just face book! I'm guessing I'd have known CSWS's news long ago! Yay for another baby and hello to everyone else. What's new?

Flame · 10/12/2009 20:51

Jas - no advice, DS is a shit. I ended up today with him on my back and DD2 on my front because it was easier than him running away etc.

Sorry for not being on here much, brain pretty much melted atm.

Frizbe · 10/12/2009 21:22

Hello again Dame missed ya!

Flame, I wanna see picks of that

{{{Hugs}}} Jas, its no fun when they play up is it.....dd2 keeps attempting to lately, we have been spending rather a lot of time putting her on naughty step etc.....

Am just about on top of Xmas here, girls all sorted, working on finishing off ss's stuff. Have school xmas concert tomorrow and then xmas fair in evening, followed by dd2's concert next week on Tue I think.

Flame · 13/12/2009 09:44

I'm nowhere near on top of xmas

Taking DD1 to rainbows church parade in a bit - she's nervous but I know she'll love the crafty bit afterwards if I can convince her to go. I was that DH didn't know what a christingle was... didn't realise that Catholics don't do them.

DD2 is in disposables Washing and life in general has all gotten a bit too much this week, and I decided to take one less job out of the equation in the run up to Christmas. Feels very wrong though!

Had a couple of sessions with chiropractor so far, today is the day after one so she should be more settled for the day

mustrunmore · 14/12/2009 09:05

flame, at that party we went to on SAt, I overheard dh having a conversation with another Dad about reusable nappies

Like I said, I'd never done christingle as a kid, even tho cofe school and church and brownies

csws, would love to get together over xmas hols yes. Wanna come here? Or I can get train to ou with booster seats in tow? When are you free? I'm vaguely entertaining the idea of taking kids up to see Mum between new yr and term at some point, but in reality, I donr think I can face it on the train with them. They argue constantly, and its a huge trek when they're like that! Ita about5.5hrs door to door. I know I'm pathetic So anyway, I think we're free xmas eve (!), or boxing day (!) of the day aftr, and most days after that!! I'll check calendar properly.

Flame · 15/12/2009 07:57

csws - how do you fancy a visit either half term or easter? I haven't seen you in soooooooooooooo long now

for cloth nappy talk. DH doesn't mention them any more because his work people were mean to him

mustrunmore · 15/12/2009 21:13
Frizbe · 15/12/2009 23:13

Hello! don't fight there girls, why don't you both go and visit CSWS then you can all see each other

MRM where does your mum live again? Cornwall?

Flame, no, courier not sorted, tis Xmas, can't get co's to talk rates in silly season...need to sort out how much we're shipping next year to get decent rates, gah

So how are you all coping?

My week has gone to pot, was planning lots of wrapping of stuff, (luckily kids done) as dh has gone and fallen ill.....suspected stomach ulcer, Dr has given drugs today, but he's had it since Sunday am, blagged his way gthru Sunday then had mega reflux since, so not eaten or slept since midnight (when he woke me up) Sun/Mon...... Hoping the tablets do the trick, but when I picked them up was told 2/3 days to kick in......obviously if they don't work, its hospital investigation time, but fingers x'd it is an ulcer and these will do the job! (he is quite highly strung anyway this has meant I've had to work his shifts as well as mine! the perils of business....meanwhile Gran was read her last rites last night, but has perked up again have to see how long that lasts.....tis the seaon to be jolly.....

mustrunmore · 16/12/2009 08:55

Er, no. Shropshire. Wherer did you conjure that idea up from?!

Looks like csws might get an enforced get together at her house!

All I can say this week is.... ARGH Ds1 off again vomiting, I still have spots all over my torso, and the dinner money cheque wasnt cashed at the strat of term so we're £70 in arrears which I thought had been paid. I assume the cheque is down the back of a filing vcabinet or something. Needless to day, we dont have £70 now.

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/12/2009 10:30

how does 30th suit you mrm? Which location would you prefer?

Flame - already have visitors planned for half term, but easter would be good.

At hospital at the mo having my glucose tolerance test. Fun fun fun!

mustrunmore · 16/12/2009 12:19

30th sounds fine to me. Dont ask me to make a location decision!! Would be good to come to you as kids love the train. But if its this cold I realistically dont think I'll want to and if still snowing there might not be a train anyway!! ds1 wants to come to you tho [hmnm]

Jas · 16/12/2009 23:49

I hope the trains are running. I've just booked tickets to take the children to my mums before Christmas.....and dps mum has said she will come to us after.. I may be being cynical, but it will be her first visit in 9 years if she does make it here.

Ds still thinks sleep is for the weak, and I am busy with shows and parties (all children. Nothing fun for me just yet)

I do have a day at the Sanctuary booked n Sunday though

Jas · 17/12/2009 00:02

Sorry. I did read the rest of the thread, honestly

Frizbe re gran. Did she make it home at all?
I hope dh's meds are helping him. Not nice for him, but equally not nice for everyone around him if he is like alot of men when ill....

Mrm - I hope you and yours are better, too.
I pay dinners weekly (I hate doing it but dd2 much prefers it to my packed lunches), it is much easier on the wallet that way.

CSWS - I couldn't work out why you were having GTT for a while there. How was it? Have you being eating as if diabetic again in preparation?

Dame - Nothing new here

Flame - I had dd2 in disposables alot more than the other two. No one except you will think twice about it.
Is she not happy?
I'd just buy gift vouchers for everyone this year and point to the small baby if anyone questions it.

I've just finished wrapping all my presents. Everything except main presents for the children done now.
I want to buy ds and dd2 a small flat screen tv for their room. DP thinks it is a rubbish present but has no better ideas. They may well end up with nothing at this rate.

mustrunmore · 17/12/2009 09:52

Yeah, but weekly involves the organisational capacity to have the money and remnember to take it in every week I know we took the cheque for the dinners cos it was £72 and was at the same time as the £80 maintainence fund money, so it was a huge pay out all at once.
If you've got any Ikea time during the golh Jas, ds1 really wants to see your girls! Or you're welcome here of course.

ds2 still mithering about his birthday already

Jas · 17/12/2009 17:41

I'd love to mrm....the girls ask, too, but with no car, I'm not sure I can face it Maybe between christmas and new year if it isn't snowy.

Ds has been telling everyone he is getting a spiderman cake for his birthday since last March!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/12/2009 21:39

Well it sounds like you should come to me then mrm, but we'll reassess if it's majorly snowy or something.

GTT was not a good result. I have borderline diabetes already - seeing specialist mw again on Monday.

Enjoy the Sanctuary tomorrow Jas!

Frizbe · 19/12/2009 23:13

Oh no CSWS for the diabetes again, what a bummer.....

MRM sick again, oh poor your {{Hugs}} about the cheque too, we pay weekly here too, same as Jas.

Jas, I reckon a TV is an ok prezzie, or how about a cheap CD player? saw an ok looking one for £20 is Sainsbs today.

Was of all your snow, but we've just got a load falling now, so after all.

Gran passed away yesterday evening but its for the best really and it happened fast, so she wasn't in any pain or anything and my auntie/uncle managed to get there in time to say goodbye too. 95 is a good innings all in all eh, hope I make it that long!

dd1 has been a right pita today, refused to go to her friends party....decided she was 'so over soft play' so I had to take dd2 and the present instead, along with a huge apology Left the errant dd1 with dh.

Jas · 20/12/2009 08:15

Just on my way out

I'm really sorry to hear about your gran Frizbe, but I'm glad someone could be with her at the end.

Bad news re the diabetes, csws. Is it alot earlier on in the pg this time? I hope you can control it again.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/12/2009 08:27

Sorry to hear about your gran Frizbe, but you're right, 95 is a good innings.

Jas - got it at 17 weeks last time, and 12 this time, so a bit earlier yes, and last time was exceptionally early!

Frizbe · 20/12/2009 23:46

((((hugs)))) CSWS, GD is no fun On the other hand, you are a dab hand at it all now, so hopfully will sail thorough it all with no bother and we can all come and fawn over your new offspring sometime next year and I would say leaving our other sprogs at home, but dd1 has developed an affinity for flames dd1, so you may have to start renting out tent space.

Ta for your thoughts anyway girls, tis late and I've had far tooo much booze and late night comedy on tv

Frizbe · 21/12/2009 00:28

Oh and bollox, this evening I get around to wrapping 80gbp worth of dh's xbox games to find that sainsbo's have given me empty boxes..................are you watching the tumble weed.....................what's the betting that, as I brought these a month ago, they have no descrepencies in their cd's versus x'box files............. if only I'd not been in such a hurry/weighed down with stuff I might have checked them along with the dvd's which they managed to get me the dvd's for

Frizbe · 21/12/2009 20:40

We have lots of snow all kids very happy about that, sledging a plenty.
Meanwhile, having passed its mot on Friday, with £320 additional bits done on it, my car decided to start making an odd noise on Saturday.....I took it back to garage today and they reckon its the gearbox, want £600 to repair it....gulp....rang my dad, whose retired garage owning mate is giving me a 2nd opinion tomorrow and can hopefully halve the cost
