Jas · 02/11/2009 23:24

VERY quiet here.....

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/11/2009 07:26

Yeah, where's EPPM? I'd like a full update on how dd and ds are doing please.

And apart from lots of exercise, what's going on in mrm's life?

mustrunmore · 03/11/2009 08:17

mrm is not exercising much at all put a stone on

mrm is doing an afternoon a week voluntary in nursery/school

mrm watched tv last night and realisedthat you lot shortened my name to the initials for mechanically recovered meat

mrm has a very very dull life

Frizbe · 04/11/2009 22:49

{{{Hugs}}} MRM you sound like you need them, don't sweat the weight, you're busy! I've put on half a stone, went swimming today to try and shift it (whilst dd2 was in her lesson) managed combat mon as well, so its just one more class to aim for on fri....

CSWS, Its not meri in the facebook photos! LP is our trainee manager at Ripley! everyone keeps mistaking her for dh's daughter! she's lovely, even bbsits the girls for me sometime

Work n more work here, so nothing much to report, obviously had dd1's birthday party on Sun, so have a house full of assorted presents, as she had a disco with another friend, so the whole class were invited and we got about 22 attended (plus other friends) lots of kids, but all went well, despite the rain although I have been spending some time this week getting to grips with a tamigotchi, which has so far been hatched twice, both times a boy, to which dd1 wasn't impressed in the 1st place, but she's come to terms with waiting for it to get a girlfriend now!

mustrunmore · 05/11/2009 13:24

Havent done a class in ages .

Dropped ds1 off at schoo 8.50am, call at 9.05am to get him back. thrwew up in assembly.

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/11/2009 15:35

Oh dear. Bug or had he eaten too much mechanically recovered meat?

mustrunmore · 05/11/2009 16:10

Very droll! Bug, prob a more vomitty version of what ds2 had when we were at my mums.

Flamebat · 05/11/2009 19:46

Lol @ mechanically recovered meat

I've had bloody tonsillitis to go with new baby etc (most likely the strep a....). Gradually getting over it, but feeling very drained now. Had a bedtime from hell with DS.

BUT DD2 is sleeping in her crib and has been there for about an hour . She has been under the impression that she must sleep being held, or at best in her car seat.... i fully expect her to wake in a min as she spends most evenings feeding, and it is probably now too quiet as dude has stopped sobbing and screaming and I have stopped shouting.

Still having saga getting benefits sorted again (they suspended them whilst they worked out stuff with selling bumfluff) - but they sent me a letter today explaining that child benefit no longer counts as income, so we are entitled to £x amount, but as our money is currently suspended, we get nothing . What was the point of wasting the paper?!?!

mustrunmore · 07/11/2009 09:22

They suspend while they work out changes??! Dont they just carry on paYING WHATEVER THE AMOUNT HAS BEEN, and then adjust it once they owrk opu new total?

I've jus t read THe time travwllers wife; ds1 still sick, so I had time while he slept and ds2 was in nursery!

Flamebat · 07/11/2009 13:16

they normally just keep paying, but i think it is where it is a big thing with selling business they are being knobs.

mustrunmore · 07/11/2009 15:45

So, ds1 has eaten his first food sine Wed night... 6 Macdonaldds chips anda small fanta I suppose its food of sorts at least. Oh, and two smarties.

Just got the last Rheneas and the Dinosaur Bones set in the ELC sale (£20 down from £60) for my Dad to give ds2 for xmas... he looked in his branch after callig me this morninig, and missed his last one by 3 minutes! Popped hurch sale thing on way home; spent £2 on tombola for ds1&2 to have a go. ds1 won tescos finest biscuits, ds2 won a miniture whisky and one of those huge tins of quality street

Flamebat · 07/11/2009 17:16

Yup, as long as it is something in him. and it stays in him...

i got my parcel through today of the frugi stuff I ordered (MN competition). I know they design for cloth nappies, but they may need to rethink their sizing!! I ordered 0-3 (they don't do "newborn") sleepsuits thinking they will be nice for now and trousers the next size up. She ain't a small baby by any stretch. She may fit in them by xmas... with the sleeves rolled up.

Even the breastfeeding dress I ordered in M (which they say is 12-14) thinking it would be fine on the body and dubious on the norks - I am going to have to return it for the small as it is roomy on the norks and far too big on the body . good for self confidence though

Tis annoying as I like the dress and wanted to wear it NOW.

Frizbe · 08/11/2009 10:53

Flame, well that's great that you don't fit the dress am sure dd2 will just have a huge grow overnight and fit everything too Can't believe benifits, what a nightmare not like you made anything from the sale/are millionaires. Ohhh may squeeze in a visit to you at end of Nov, as picked up a contact in Essen, whose UK distributor is in Christchurch and we need to visit and sort out what stuff we can get from him (over a long weekend, obviously)

MRM, {{{Hugs}}} re the poorly kids, that's never good. What did you think of the book? I read it the other year (got it for xmas) took a bit of getting into, but was ok in the end, iuswim? has anyone seen the movie?

Where's Phoenix these days? are you lurking? or just busy with two kids?

Waves at CSWS, Jas, EPPM, Dame and anyone else out there!

Did the store 'grand opening' yesterday, which went well (UQD came down and helped out signing his books, which was fab) I was a bit sniffely yesterday, but today I am full o snot, tis not fun...kept waking up with a dry mouth last night, so feel like a zombie today....

Jas · 08/11/2009 22:28

Benefit saga sounds bad....they did what mrm said to us, and kept paying something then gave us a lump to make it up. Eventually. I lost count of the number of times I had t call though.

Frizbe - you sound very busy. Are you enjoying your little empire?

How is ds1 now mrm? I hope he is better (and no one else is ill)

EPPM has surfaced on our book thread, csws, but desn't seem to be around much atm.

DP has finished his current job (ding 14-16 hr days), has tomorrow mrning off, then starts another one in the afternoon.
I am liking having the house to myself, and the money means we won't have to cancel Christmas this year

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/11/2009 07:59

pah for benefits flame.
Yay for bargains mrm.
Yay for more work for dp jas
Eppm is around quite a bit I think, but using her other posting name atm.
Come and say hello Eppm!

Busy weekend here, but dd managed another sleepover with child her own age. She did, however, get up, put her light on and start to play at 4.55am! my friend went up and told her it was still middle of night and she thankfully went back to sleep.
Other than that am mostly just focusing on getting lots of sleep. Ds is just starting to sleep through with some regularity, though not last night as tooth cutting.

Flamebat · 10/11/2009 22:40

yay for not cancelling xmas Jas

Benefits saga still going on here, but had updated tax credits notice due to the little lady being born, and we can now afford to not cancel xmas too

Huzzah for good shop opening!

I dread to think what DS would be like with a friend sleeping over - he did well sleeping at Frizbe's, but I think in his own house it would be different.

EPPM has another name???

DD2 has taken to sucking my nipples into her mouth like spaghetti But she is much less snuffly today, and I can now yawn without my throat hurting (the last lingering pain from tonsils), so I think we can start getting back to normal.

DS is being worse than ever , so I am on a mission to be consistent with naughty stairs etc. Going to talk to nursery to find out how bouncy he is there - I want to check that he is "just" bouncy and not ADHD or anything. I am 99% sure he is fine, but that 1% niggles when he won't focus on anything for more than 2 seconds.

Jas · 10/11/2009 23:22

Also didn't know EPPM had anther name. (But glad to see I'm not the only one!)

Flame - Obviously I haven't seen ds for a long time, but suspect he is a three year old boy who has just realised he has to share his mum.

Glad you are feeling better (and Yay for tax credits saving Christmas!)

Wouldn't even try a sleepover with ds. Staying at my parents was a disaster in the summer, and I can't imagine having someone here would be much better.

mustrunmore · 11/11/2009 08:56

Jas, you must be psychic. ds1 much better thanks, but now I've got severe tonsilitis. Not eaten since Sunday night... must've lost weight, jeans fit better again but its so so sore. dh whining cos had to take days off work and he's been 'so busy going up to school and back that he hasnt had time to eat properly' , but in fairness he did manage to get me a prescription without me going to gp, cos I just couldnt drag myself there.

What you mean eppm is someone else too??!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/11/2009 12:20

I didn't realise that none of you knew about EPPM's other name. Good job I haven't said what it is!
But where are you EPPM - come and say hello on here?! Or I'll tell everyone your name and they will hunt you down .

Yuk for tonsils.

Ds behaviour probably just a reaction to dd2's arrival flame. Dd was a monster for quite some time.

EachPeachPearMum · 11/11/2009 21:29

I am here... sorry, not managing to keep up with much atm

My other identity is quite prominent this week please don't say though.

Obviously this is where csws's spreadsheet comes into its own.. as I did once accidentally out myself to you all.

I want to know about csws's interesting email! [nosey]

mrm- how is the coughing up blood thing? no more I hope. Hope DS1 is fully recovered.

CSWS- good to hear about DS sleeping through more- must make life a lot easier (well, at least easier to deal with)

Flame- hope tonsils are better soon, and good that dd2 is settling down a bit. (yes, it is odd typing dd2 ) I'm sure DS is just having a wobble due to dd2's arrival... my dd was same as csws's and was harder to deal with than ds in the first few months tbh.

Phoenix- hope you're well, and your boys too... ds2 must have grown loads, will try and peek on fb later.

Jas- glad dp has more work on... and YAY! for nice empty house! (gives you chance to do more flying )

Frizbe- glad official opening went well you sound very busy though, and hope you're getting some time to yourself too.

We had a lovely half term- was so nice to have DD home, and DS really enjoyed it - he has got to the stage where he can sort of 'play' with her, so they had lots of fun together. We had a few days out too which were nice, as the weather stayed really warm and dry here. It's freezing now though

DS (now 9mo) has g r o w n ... is huge... a bit of nominal determinism going on there I think He can lift dd's (large size) wheelybug with one hand
He has his first nursery visit next week - he'll be doing 2 (v short) days per week in December, and I'm back to work beginning of January (officially FT, though have a lot of leave to use by April 1st).

I don't know where this year has gone... and I'm not sure he's ready to be separated actually, he's not as independent as DD was, and is in a mildly clingy stage atm. I did 6 hours at work yesterday ('keeping in touch' day), and he was fine- but DH had a day off work and looked after him... and DS is a Daddy's boy, so they had a fine old time. Think nursery may be a different story

Jas · 11/11/2009 22:10

Oh, not fair EPPM. Now I REALLY want to know who else you are.

Never mind.....I got an interesting email, and I'm not telling what was in it!

How are you today mrm?

DS is getting very grown up. Nusresy has been great fr him. His speach is really god now, and occasionally he listens to me I even let him walk without the reins now. One day I will leave the buggy at home...

Jas · 11/11/2009 23:24

EPPM

EachPeachPearMum · 11/11/2009 23:31

Ah! You're still up then?

Jas · 11/11/2009 23:50

Who needs sleep? Overrated imo.

Flamebat · 12/11/2009 08:08

DS has been a git for a good 12 months

Sulking about not knowing EPPM's other name, assuming that the email is the conversation I had with CSWS on messenger, if not, I may be forced to sulk about that too.

for MRM's tonsillitis.

@ baby EPPM being 9 months! DS was much more clingy and dependent than DD1 ever was, but he thrived in nursery

DS keeps telling me he doesn't like preschool, just nursery I think it is only because his bestest friend in the world is always at nursery and only one session at preschool, but tbh, given the choice I think I would prefer nursery to preschool. If nothing else they let him suck his thumb when he's tired.
