Afternoon folks

rrrayray · 19/05/2009 12:11

oh my gosh. So many posts. Not time to catch up now!

Sending you all a big wave!

Off to Take Esme for 3rd set of jabs! Thank Goodness, no more until a year! Phew! xxx

missjackson · 19/05/2009 12:47

Hi all -

dog yey for going out today! Hope you have fun whatever you decide to do. Sunny one moment here, pissing it down the next.

waves back to ray. That must mean Nye is due for his 3rd set next week, I think the reminder got sent to our old address. I had only just about changed my address from the first move from London - now I'll have to do it all again.

chef V sounds like she is loving food. And amazing that she is standing up, does she do it hanging onto something? (Am assuming not alone!). Nye loves to stand up but really he's only pushing his feet against my legs or the ground, he is a long way off actually standing!

eppm does your DP post then? My DH always moans about MN! It's become somewhat of a guilty secret with me!

Hi tree!

Did Mum&Babies group this morning, am beginning to get slightly bored of sitting around and talking babies tbh. Conversation seems limited to families, partners, birth stories, childcare and when to have the next one.... usually I am all for these subjects, but just recently beginning to wish for a night out gossiping with my old friends.

Woo-hoo, the sun has come out. LO asleep in the car (window and door between us is open so I can hear when he wakes up), and I am once again indulging in choc brownies (the last of the box, thankfully!) and real coffee. Naughty. But nice.

moosemama · 19/05/2009 13:06

Oops! SAS just had a shopping accident in that sale - hivered and hovered over the checkout button for ages - then ... err, must've slipped or summat cos I bought the hat, pink long-sleeved top and the blanket, all of which match the dress and two pairs of leggings she already has! Mind you they seem to be huge on dd so at least they should last.

Sat here fretting about it afterwards, but have just fessed up to DH on the phone and he was fine about it.

Dog - have you seen these toadstool dresses from ej sikke lej? They do great all in ones and rompers as well but you have to search around as the price can vary widely from shop to shop. I think the stock the designer who makes them at Nordic Kids.

DD was supposed to have her 3rd lot of jabs today, but have moved them as she is still poorly and very clingy. I know they say they can have them if they've got a cold but I can't help thinking immunisations are enough of an insult to the immune system without their poor little bodies having to cope with an illness at the same time. She won't be having hers for a fortnight now as next week is half term holiday (that one crept up on me - only realised yesterday) and they don't allow siblings at baby clinic because of all the newborns.

sparkleandshine · 19/05/2009 13:16

is the little shrimp stuff big or small for sizes? do I get 3-6 or 6-9 (he'll be 4 months 17-18lbs - he's a big boy)

eeek,half-term! forgot about that, cheers moose.

Nothing planned, anyone in the envrons of the cotswolds per chance next week. Dammit better go and get some days out planned, although weather same here MissJ hope it will be better next week.

SAS I would go 6-9 or even 9-12 at a push. Zach is 19lbs at 19 weeks and he is busting out of the 6-9 stuff that comes up small. I do wisk I hadn't looked at that website, how cute are the frog pjs!!!

Dog Yay for going out!!! Keep me posted about when you are in sussex, the only definite dates I have are the first week of the summer hols when I'm down there for a week.

Ray hope Esme's jabs go well. Zach always really tired after his.

Tink at the thought of 2 of them swimming, always a 2 person job here!!! Very brave, I'm sure will be fine

Well, what a boring morning waiting in for Tesco man. came at 12.01!!! Now Zach asleep and I've got loads of things to do. Have promised paint-a-pot to DD but that may have to wait till tomorrow afternoon.

Sorry to be rude and not reply to people

Having a bda day so need therapy.

juleswastink · 19/05/2009 13:38

missjackson · 19/05/2009 13:56

tree I just bought a modern baby pop-in and a motherease one size nappy to trial at night, with boosters etc. Will my tots bots wrap fit the motherease nappy do you think? Looks pretty standard.

Totsbots just not doing the job at night, even with fleece liners - 4 changes last night!

Pop ins look lovely though. Have to wait till they arrive, want them now!

pat forgot to say hereford is about an hour for me - where in gloucestershire are you? would be fab to meet.

treedelivery · 19/05/2009 13:59

MissJ - I should think so. If not I have many a motherease airflow wrap to sell you for very little They are bomb proof.

Hurrah nappy purchases!

Have a pop-in too, I like!

treedelivery · 19/05/2009 14:35

juleswastink · 19/05/2009 17:16

miss j - ye fro nappy purchases

dog good luck with big car
i have citeron picasso is great for 2 dds

missjackson · 19/05/2009 17:54

Good luck with catching up books!

Pat I sometimes come to Bristol so we should meet there - busy next few weeks as half term is crazy (OH and I run a horse riding holiday business), and then am off to London for a week. Week starting June 8th looking good though. Shall we fb nearer the time?

tree that parasol is ridiculous but very lovely! I'd want the bed to go under it too though. Am super excited about my nappy purchases. Really I am.

dog I have a big car and it's lovely for carting around all the crap essentials that seem to come with a baby! Hope you get the loan!

Hi tink! (always tink to me too!)

moosemama · 19/05/2009 19:42

Thanks guys.

Pat am eating the milk tray even though I don't like them.

Did you know that a huge numbers of calls to pc technical helplines for computers that don't work turn out to be for computers that aren't plugged in or switched on at the plug - its easily done.

PatTheHammer · 19/05/2009 20:09

MissJ could do the end of that week, start is crazy due to DD's birthday being on the 10th. Thursdays are usually good for me. I should warn you though that the only places I actually know how to drive to in Bristol are IKEA and Cribbs causeway (DH always drives at weekends!) both great for kiddies though and good coffee/tea served there also . FB me nearer the time to sort it out!

Tree love the parasol but are you aware we do live in England?????? Dog fingers crossed for your loan, a big car sounds bliss. I love my little Fiat but hugely impractical for carting kids and stuff around so only use it as a run around in the week

PatTheHammer · 19/05/2009 20:10

What is up with the time stamp on these posts, it's only 10 past 7 here???? Confusing my sleep-deprived brain!
