Lucky, ?????????

Lily, it is ok, i have done it. Just posting your name and nickname plus dd name in the mumsnet group on facebook so LaT gets the complete picture. It is private btw, invitation only.

simpson · 27/01/2009 21:41

LOL Lucky do you not do walking then

LuckySalem · 27/01/2009 21:41

Lol - I didnt know there'd be walking. I thought I just had to drive, sit and drive back - will have to pack the small buggy so both mine and A's will fit in car! lol.

Having a bad evening today - haven't been sleeping very well for the past week and just happened to mention it to A on facebook and she said oh there must be something on your mind. So I sat and thought about it and realised that its since me and DP (did the dirty) tried halfheartedly for the next DC.

So I thought some more and now have about 20 worries in my head. Stupid, stupid things but still there and am worried that I wont sleep again tonight which is of course making me worse. lol

Anyways..... just needed to write it down.

simpson · 27/01/2009 21:43

Lucky - that is always the way. I am the type of person who worries because I have nothing to worry about

Personally i would write a list and put them all down on paper...might not seem so scary when you can see them iyswim.

LuckySalem · 27/01/2009 21:45

Yeh probably, am gonna go feed cats in a min and try to get some sleep.

Lilyloo · 27/01/2009 21:59

OP posts:
simpson · 27/01/2009 22:27

LOL just got the messages on my wall.

If you want to do the online chat thing you look for the icon that says who is online then next to it there is a man with a green circle.

You can click on that and start a private chat message. Type words in then hit enter.

not an expert on FB BTW this is the only thing i know how to do [ blush]

LaTrucha · 28/01/2009 08:04

Thanks Lucky!

And Simpson.

Hmm. Why is it that MN feels more private? Must just be familiarity.

Gingeme · 28/01/2009 10:43

Morning ladies.
Yes thats right re facebooh and messaging. You look bottom right hand corner to see whos on line then click by the persons name you want to talk to and you will be able to do instant messaging or do as I did and leave a message wall to wall. Be careful not to put private messages on the persons ordinary wall or everyone in there and your group of friends will be able to read it
We have been awake since 5.30 George decided it was up time but I tried for an hour to get him back to sleep but he wasn't having it hes having his nap now
How did you sleep Lucky? I think its a good idea to wright down your worrys. Kind of put them in to perspective. You could show the list to dp too and see if he shares any of them.
Simpson I was thinking about your situation re whos advice to take. I have learnt over the many years that I have had kids that each child is an individual as are the parents. What works for one family may not always work for another. Alot of parenting is instinct. You know how to settle your children all be it plonking them in the cot and thats it or cuddeling them till theyre asleep. Is your Mum/hv/Sister etc gonna be there at the wee small hours trying to comfort your baby while she is teething/poohinf or generaly in need of a cuddle and reassurance from her Mummy?
I was the same with ds1 I had advice from my Mum,sister, sis in law,Mother in law and I felt it was all very regimentated and confusing. Then I had a long chat with my health visitor at the time. She was lovely and made it all seem alot clearer once I was left to my own devices. I have always been crap and very stubborn about taking advice. Ok sometimes it does help but do what you think is best for yourself and your lo not everyone else.

Lilyloo · 28/01/2009 11:34

Oh think i will stick to mnet it's easier!!!

OP posts:
simpson · 28/01/2009 11:41

Lilyloo - LOL Am sort of getting the hang of FB.

DD was sick everywhere this morning It was DH's turn to get DCs up and he said it did not stop coming...

But she seems quite chirpy now. I think she probably just ate too much for breakfast

She is having her morning nap ATM.

Lilyloo · 28/01/2009 11:48

Poor dd hope she not coming down with something before tom!!

DD has gone to bed early too. She has rotton cough and cold and just had her injections!

Typically she slept really well last night so looks like that going out of the window!

OP posts:
Gingeme · 28/01/2009 11:51

Oh simpson poor dd. Geore doesn't realy eat breakfast. Hell have a few spoonfulls of every one elses though hope shes on the mend soon.
Lillyloo would seem the are all having early naps today. Trouble is that means theyll be grouchy later
I wonder if I'll have to ring my docs for Georges next jabs. I think he gets forgotten because he was a home birth.....

Lilyloo · 28/01/2009 11:54

Gingeme they said they would contact me for her mmr in 4 weeks so might be worth giving them call.

OP posts:
simpson · 28/01/2009 12:10

Have just rung doc's about DD's booster but the receptionist didn't know much and is getting the nurse to call me back.

DD has her MMR booked for 20th Feb. Either she has booster then instead and MMR at a later date or want both injections done at same time. But think there has to be a gap in the middle but will see what nurse says.

DS also having pre school booster on 20th.

simpson · 28/01/2009 12:11

Gingeme - DD will definately be grouchy later as i have to wake her soon to take DS to pre school so she won't even get her full nap iyswim.

simpson · 28/01/2009 12:13

Just seen on another thread that the MMR contains lactose. Grrr...

Will have to speak to nurse methinks....
