For some unknown reason ds3 woke at 5.50 this morning. DH went in to him but by what he told me ds3 didn't go back to sleep Don't envy his teacher today
Lovely and sunny here today thank goodness.
Right off to run the hoover round again.
See you all later xx

LuckySalem · 11/02/2009 14:43

Just a quickie - about to take dd for her MMR and am sooo nervous!

Please keep your fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong for her. Am so scared.

LaTrucha · 11/02/2009 15:09

Madmouse - SOund such fun at your playgroup! And nice ot have people on hand who know what to do. I think the British NHS is fantastic too, and the Spanish one is even better! In the leagues tables, anyway. However, the clinic for our area is down an awful street, and did seem to me very overcrowded (wait for an appointment is at least a week) and pretty dirty too. It was worse than anything I saw when I lived in London. I just wanted to feel comfortable.

Lucky - Glad thrush is clearing up. Congratulations on your bedtime last night! I remember the first time we had a 'normal' (ie what I thought a bedtime should be!) bedtime with Sabela. I couldn't believe how nice it was - for me anyway! Hope the injection went well. I think it was just like a normal injection really but you can get effect s 6 weeks after.

JKS - glad you ahd a good night's sleep. ME too!

Hope you are all having a nice time at Gingeme's ! .

LaTrucha · 11/02/2009 15:10

BTW I met BWMum on another thread - she's changed her name. She says we all talk so much on here she couldn't keep up . She's pregnant again! She's called Hadeda now.

MrsMcJnr · 11/02/2009 15:51

Hello ladies damn headaches are really getting to me! I have an AN appointment tomorrow so will mention them. Think they might be due to stress, DH?s job is very wobbly (not enough income coming into business and my parents have to ask their business partners to contribute and I?m scared they?ll sack DH to cut costs ) on top of that, our landlord told us last night that our flat is going to be repossessed! now in the UK I?d know my rights as a tenant but not here. We do plan to move before mid April anyway and I?d be very surprised if the Spanish Bank acts fast on this but it is unsettling all the same

Took DS to soft play this morning. He had such a ball. We hadn?t been for a month and the difference between what he could do then and now is amazing. He loved being on the trampoline and the slides etc there was a girl there I sort of know with a newborn. She has a 2 yr old too. She was full of woe and saying how hard it is etc etc I am sure it is but I was a bit annoyed with her, she could see I was pregnant and that I have a wee one and I felt she should still be rejoicing that her baby has arrived safe and sound and at least had something positive to tell me but she didn?t! Her baby seemed good as gold anyway, slept from 11-1 without a peep! Apparently she sleeps a lot at night too. I can?t believe I?ll have another tiny one of my own soon

Hey LaT ? I shall go and find you and bump you up on Mumsinspain I guess I do snack on most of the things you mentioned? plus biscuits and chocolate I am sure you will settle in just fine in time, you are that kind of person aren?t you? All these experiences enrich us I think BWMum ? I?m racking my brain to remember ? tell me more about her

Madmouse ? I was so delighted to read your post about the visit to the consultant, amazing news and well done to you, DH and of course Nathan for being such a little fighter!

Angechica ? tea! Now that is something that we get brought over from Scotland by anyone who visits us!

JKS ? hope the illness stays away for your Mum and she continues to get better. I am so scared of the big C, my Dad has had it 3 times now, totally unrelated and thank god to date nothing that hasn?t been kept in check but every time it happens I get so scared. He lost a kidney to it 10 years ago, last year it was skin and at the moment it?s prostate. My Mum has also had cancerous skin lesions what fun you will have child free! I was enjoying reading your list of what you?d do, I SO miss Starbucks muffins here!

Gingeme, Simpson, Lily & JKS ? hope you are having great fun today

Gingeme - what an odd comment from the nurse!!

Lucky ? hope the MMR goes ok.

Mixedmama ? how are the boys doing?

Gingeme · 11/02/2009 17:12

Afternoon ladies.
I have uploaded some pics of all the gorgeous babys that visited this afternoon. Fun was had by all. Well apart from the few tears from falls
MrsMcJnr sorry your still suffering from the headaches. Did you suffer before while you were pregnant? Yes my migranes are totaly stress related. Hope they can help tommorrow.
Lucky how did the jab go? Is she ok?
Well no peace for the wicked here. Going to cut ds3's and DH's hair now then make some dinner.
Enjoy the pics

JustKeepSwimming · 11/02/2009 18:19

Phew, home and tea done, boys watching tv with milk, nearly bedtime

Took ages to get home, roadworks & traffic & rain, ho hum.
wish i didn't live in the southeast sometimes...

Big thanks to Gingeme for hosting us today - hope things weren't in too much of a mess (esp the boys room where Tom spent most of his time - we are totally in love with the Ikea chairs btw ). Sorry we didn't get to meet David this time, though gawd knows how long it would have taken if i'd left any later...

Not even a bruise where H bumped his chin so no worried there

Simps - hope you & M got home ok?

Lucky - how went the jab? think it's the aftereffects that are the problem.

simpson · 11/02/2009 18:48

Hi all

Had great fun at the meet up Thanks Gingeme for being host!!

JKS - glad H ok. We got back a bit quicker than it took to get there and Molly slept for a big chunk of the journey.

Love the pics!!

Both Dcs finally in bed

Molly's first day with no bottle in the day went fine and she did not seem to notice any difference just having milk from cup instead which is good!!

Got hosp appt tomorrow to see dietician...

Gingeme · 11/02/2009 18:49

Your very welcome JKS . Glad Tom didn't have any lasting injuries he didn't make any mess! You should see it when we have a party here!
Simpson are you home yet? Let us know please?
David didn't notice we had guests though

Gingeme · 11/02/2009 18:51

Xpost Simpson. Glad your journey went without a hitch. x

Rubysmom08 · 11/02/2009 19:26

hello ladies

Thanks for your kind posts.

I am having pyshio and seeing a chiropractor but because the baby has engaged now it is feeling like I am splitting in two, altho one positive thing is that the pain has lessened round the hips.

Ruby updaye- Its bloody German Measles! I am immune to Rubella which is a good thing, altho it seems like I have only been in contact with pregnant women in the last two weeks so have had to ring round and scare my friends! Ruby is thrugh the worst but it has been the worst 3 weeks for her, poor little thing!

Very jealous of all the meet ups- are we having a midlands one??

MM- that is fab fab news about Nathan, you have done such a good job, I think a positive and encouraging approach works wonders!

JKS and LaT thanks for the advice,it's such a horrible condition.

Can't believe Ruby has Rubella/German Measles when her MMR is booked in 10 days- bloody typical!

Lucky hope the MMR went ok topday

xxx

LuckySalem · 11/02/2009 20:34

Aww RM - german measles sounds horrid. I hope Ruby gets over it easily.

MMR jab went fine, I think I was worse than she was watching her like a hawk though and I just know i'll have trouble sleeping tonight.

Am soooo of your meetup. Looks like you had a great time (judging by the photos)

Can't wait till our meet up as well

Rubsymum We're having a meetup in Birmingham - ask Madmouse for directions on 28th of this month.... please come!!

Lilyloo · 11/02/2009 20:38

Rubysmom poor Ruby a bit of relief the pain is easing for you though! We all getting together at Coventry in 28th Feb at a play place ? MM organising it quite a few of us coming so would be great if you could!

JKS was that you ducking out the pic Glad you had good day!

Gingeme looked hectic bet MM glad she decided on play venue now

Simps is that you in the pic with Molly on your knee ?
Love the pic of her with George!
Lot's of little cuties there!

Lucky how did mmr go ?

MrsMc probably a stress related headache then!Poor you sounds tough! I guess you caught that mum on a bad day and she proably wasn't really thinking of you when she said it! Glad the play area was good.

Am bloody knackered here today. Toddler group this am , cleaning this aft , dancing for dd and ds and then back rush tea and ds and dd1 went to film night at his school. Was actually really cross with dp as he said he would take them. So on way back from dance 45 min to feed everyone and leave to school. He texts will be working late cue me running round shovelling M tea down. Poor thing been in the car seat for most of the day already!

Was very and feel that he could just show a bit more consideration for us and me trying to manage the house and dc's!

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 11/02/2009 20:40

Duh Coventry not birmingham (dont know why i've got birmingham in my head!! lol)

LuckySalem · 11/02/2009 20:47

Meant to say last night was a fluke - DD screamed the house down tonight after her book BUT I didn't relent, I walked out the room after her kiss and cuddle, went back in after 1 min so lie her down again and then about 30 secs later she was gurgling to herself and I haven't heard her since so maybe if I keep going then things will be ok.

Finished DD's room now - pics on FB apart from the coving (DP has to do) and the border (need some more wallpaper paste)

JustKeepSwimming · 11/02/2009 20:54

Rubysmom - so about the german measles. think my sis and i had it as children. in the days pre-mmr.
will she still have the mmr?

Lily - i wasn't ducking honestly, probably just getting another tissue, the boys noses are non-stop, sorry!

I had a similar 'falling out' with DH yesterday. He had planned to come home late Tues.
Called me at 7.15pm (just got boys to bed, about to head out to orchestra, sitter arriving), um think i'm a bit busy, might not come back until Wed night....
cue me
was v rational about it and just texted him (from orch!) to say it was unreasonable & unfair of him to abandon family responsibilities as and when it suited him. i couldn't and didn't.
long story, short, he came home.
left work early, told his boss he needed to leave, was here just after i got back from orch and got up with DS1 this morning.

think the rational approach freaked him out

Lucky - sounds like you're cracking it
will go and look at FB pics....

LaTrucha · 11/02/2009 21:03

Ooo - well done you JKS.

Pictures of the meet-up look gorgeous. Fancy the next one in Spain? Come on! You could manage a block-booking on RyanAir, couldn't you?

Am knackered. See you tomorrow.

Lilyloo · 11/02/2009 21:07

ooh post them here Lucky cannot get on with fb!

JKS lol just tjats my trick have many headless photos
Maybe thats the way to tackle it then! Thats exactly it they can just absolve responsibility at moments notice. I know he is busy etc but it really annoys me.
Even more so after i was telling my dad the next car i would like at the weekend (obv just in chat not tommorrow!) and he pipes in with 'you better get a job then'
How can i when you are so bloody one minded with yours!

Angry Hmm

LuckySalem · 11/02/2009 21:10

Lily for you with your DH and DF behaviour. DP knows not to just do things without checking with me in regards to his time. Esp after he took on another night (tonight) without checking and therefore had to miss DD's MMR today. He's learnt his lesson I never understand the way they behave - my parents keep rabbiting on about getting a job and i've told them if I can find a job within DP's hours I'm getting one but otherwise butt out.

Just uploading the photos onto photobucket so bear with me.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 11/02/2009 21:11

ah a meet up in spain that would be so cool.

rubysmum - i feel for you with the german measles. We are yet to have MMR and there are measles going around DS1 nursery but since ds2 has chicken pox we cant have the MMR yet... palava upon palava.

glad you guys had fun, saw the fb pics.. so that we missed it. looking forward to summer down at the beach though JKS.

just been to a belly dancing class and feeling very good.

See you all in the morning.

LuckySalem · 11/02/2009 21:13

Oh yes Spain!!

Ok heres my photobucket - can't be arsed to link to them individually here

mixedmamameansbusiness · 11/02/2009 21:13

Lily - highly unreasonable and i like what JKS did.

MrsMC - I suffer with migraines and with DS1 I actually got such a severe migraine that i lost the ability to speak and write and had to go into hospital.. something to do with pregnancy and migraine combined... i find the only thing that helps me is those things you stick on your head.. they dont make it go away but just sort of soothe... sleep is the on;y thing that works for me and lots of it.

Lucky - like the pics of A's room. What is the border like? How did MMR go?

Lilyloo - Yes that's me

Mrs Mcjnr - I had bad headaches with DD for the last few wks and it was caused by blocked sinuses.

Ruby - Grrr 10 days before MMR. Hope she is over the worst of it....

LaT - How is Sabela? Is she better now?

JKS & Gingeme - hope boys sleep well after being tired out!!
