Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 16:01

No need for excitment AF came earlier I am excited though, makes me feel a bit closer to TTC'ing in one weirdy way! LOL

Sorry about crap sleep, it is the very worst bit. Are you still co-sleeping?

LuckySalem · 05/02/2008 16:21

Kinda - I managed to get her back in her moses basket for most of last week then as soon as DP went to work she slept with me Sunday night but back in her basket last night. I only managed to get 2/3 hours at a time last night though instead of the 4/5. So she's either getting a routine or just wants to annoy me.

HV has been and she now weighs 7lb 7Oz! Big fatty. lol.

Glad your AF has arrived.... 31 days is not too bad.

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 16:32

Aww bless her, tis all the nice BF doing it, keep up the good work

Can you, or let me re-phrase, would you want to co-sleep, tis the only thing that kept me sane in the end!

Well I can handle a 30 day cycle, not too bad!

LuckySalem · 05/02/2008 16:36

I don't mind her co-sleeping with me but HV keeps telling me how bad it is for LO so I'm trying to persuade her to stay in her basket. I don't mind the little sleep tbh, i'm sure it'll catch up with me in the end though.

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 16:50

It will catch up with you, and your need rest especially after the op and BF.

Ignore the HV, honestly, start a thread asking if you should listen to your HV about not co-sleeping, and see the reponse. A lot HV's are so out of touch with firstly modern guide lines and secondly, what it is like to actually have a baby. Aly is your baby, you do what is right for your family, not what some stranger thinks you should do.

HV's are a pet hate of mine, can you tell?!!

LuckySalem · 05/02/2008 16:53

I'd never have guessed nat

I'm gonna see how she behaves tonight and if she'll settle in her basket then she can sleep there. I don't mind giving her some time to try the basket as I don't want to have a screaming baby when we eventually have to move her to her own cot etc (I don't want an 18 yr old sharing our bed, lol)

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 16:59

LOL I thought DS1 would be about 50 before he realised our bed was out of bounds!

As you know, I have very recently got George sleeping on his own, and although I know (due to DS1) it doesn't always go as easy, he has taken to his cot better than I ever imagined he would. And I personally think that it is better to have a bit of a rough time for a week or so later on than it is to have months and months of no sleep.

Obviously though, you do what you think is best, everyone has different ways of doing things, and inevitably everyone thinks their way doing things is the 'right' way. Truth is there is no right way, every child is different what works for one doesn't work for all. If it was that easy we'd all have nothing to moan about!

LuckySalem · 05/02/2008 17:02

EXACTLY!!! lol

Got shouted at today for drinking too much coke! lol. Doesn't she know i'm addicted to it? STUPID LADY!! haha. I'm doing quite well at the mo, have got myself down to just 1 pint a day. So ner!

How is the LO's?

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 17:10

LOL I can't do mornings without coke, and it has to be the full fat stuff, the diet stuff makes my teeth stand on end. Can't be that bad for you, my teeth are all still my own, I am losing weight, and it has given me enough of a boost to not want to strangle the kids at times!!! It is my only vice, obviously!!!

Kids are fine, all still got this bloody cold, but other than that, I think, they are OK. DS1's bottom two teeth are wobbly, but his adult teeth have grown up behind them, so he looks a bit weird when he opens his mouth! And DS2, well, he just plods along, spends all day waiting for DS1 to come home, then all afternoon watching him, he misses nothing that child.

I spose I should get on with their tea really, can't be arsed! Will have another 20 minutes while oven warms up methinks.

LuckySalem · 05/02/2008 17:13

yeh thats my vice, dont smoke, hardly drink alcohol but need my coke.

right gotta go. LO needs clean bum.

NatalieJane · 05/02/2008 17:16

Oh god I so lied saying it is my only vice.... LOL

OK sweetie, will maybe get on with tea after all then!! See you soon xxx

NatalieJane · 06/02/2008 14:10

I can't believe they are still on, they are annoying the hell out of me grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I have filed them all down quite short, still look nice, but they aren't so much in my way!

Do you think PCM has got lost in Mothercare?

laughalot · 06/02/2008 14:13

I wonder if she had a c section ? Or she could just be busy I mean she has a newborn and a life after all .

NatalieJane · 06/02/2008 14:18

Oh, I hope she hasn't had to have a CS. Having said that if it means she and baby are safe then so what?!

I reckon she is so caught up in her little boy(?) she hasn't even thought about us..... who can blame her?!!!

laughalot · 06/02/2008 14:20

NatalieJane · 06/02/2008 14:21
