April 2007 - SE meet up...will we ever manage to get this thing organised?

OK Ladies, let's get this sorted before Christmas is upon us.

Can anyone who's interested in meeting sign up here and express some preferences for where and when.

I think we said something about Basingstoke last time we met. This suits me, but not sure about Dippy.

As for days, I would prefer not to bring Emily with me as she will not sit still for longer than 10 minutes. I can do weekdays or weekends (provided dh is not working).

Thoughts?

Why me suggest a date?!?

I'm easy () Ellie can come whenever she wants.

I might even think of coming up to meet you all but not sure, will see when it is and how much, if any, spare money we have and let you know.

Can I put in a bid for a Monday or Friday as I work the other days?!? Although I could swap at a pinch I guess but don't want to upset my lovely, lovely godsend of a childminder!

Fridays are a great day for me Jake is with my mum and dad and then at pre-school. It would be really good to meet up again

I was thinking about this last night, and wondering if we should meet in the foyer at The Anvil (theatre)? It's just opposite the station and very roomy with a cafe.

Sounds good to me Bramshott, I don't know Basingstoke at all so am happy to go along with people in the know!

Bramshott, good idea. I know The Anvil quite well, and as you say it is spacious and the cafe does decent food. It is also usually quite quiet. Can't remember if there are any steps up though or if there is a lift, although we can all help each other with the buggies.

Hiya, I might get the train, as The Anvil is only a 5 minute walk from the station. The trains are pretty reguar too. I'll have a look tomorrow and see where they go from. Sleep tight.x

BWI, there is a train from Hedge End that leaves at 10.32 and is direct to Basingstoke getting in at 11.15. Calls at Eastleigh at 10.45. Or there is one at 9.32 that gets in at 10.15 and again calls via Eastleigh.

I have to say the earlier one is better for me, as K tends to have lunch at 11.00/11.30, so we could get there, have a coffee, feed the lo's and then have lunch ourselves.

What timings fit with everyone?

Oh good, Friday 23rd Nov good for us too! Fab, just need to decide what time then. I drop Em off at school at 9am, then will probably drive, so will easily be there for 10.30am.

Should we say 10.30 onwards at the Anvil?

Pillock, are you still OK to come along and is this way too early for you (bearing in mind where you're coming from)?
