Night Dippy...hope you have a good time tomorrow. xx

JoMa · 14/07/2007 01:38

I am just going to bed (very late I know), but wanted to say this before I forget,

ONE BIG MEET UP
having talked to a few of you about it, it seems a shame to now have so many of you there, so it has been decided that it would be better to have a meet-up later in the year, but plan it now, in the hope that more people could go. I'm thinking November, so it could be a christmas meet-up but before the christmas season really gets going and everywhere gets busier. what do we think? that way we can settle on details, start saving, and NO ONE will have any excuse for non attendance

Also, I need to know how people are likely to travel, particularly if anyone is thinking of flying, like the Scotland/Ireland ladies, as if it's a possiblilty I'll find a venue within easy reach of the airport you'll be using (i'm hoping you can all fly to the same one!)

I'd really like to get as many people there as possible, and will update the meet-up thread with aome november dates tomorrow

Morning! Totally lost track of what's going on, but SOKL - I hope you have a fab visit with your bro and his family today. As others have said, just let it ride and enjoy the time with them .

Eddas/NHLN - have also pre-ordered the new HP book and am (sadly) quite excited about it arriving next Saturday. When the last book was released Em and I went into our local town and there was loads of HP stuff going on up and down the high street, and lots of kids dressed up as HP. Was really good fun, so will probably go in again next week and soak up the HP vibes (yes I am 36 but I am still allowed to get excited about a kids book, aren't I?).

Am plotting how I will manage to see the film - involves leaving the DCs will the ILs - just trying to find a convenient afternoon.

Had a bit of a day yesterday. Seemed to loose my get-up-and-go for the day, so did nothing really. I think some days the tiredness just kicks in. Not helped by the fact that I was turfing out my maternity clothes and trying on some bits of my normal stuff. The reality of how much I still have to loose really gets me down, even though I know I'm not huge, I'm just not the same shape as before. It'll come I know, I just get all nostalgic for my former body!

Have a good day all. We have no plans really and the weather's a bit iffy again. When is summer gonna start?

Emmymummy · 14/07/2007 09:39

Have just added a pic I've just taken of S to my profile (the top one in the pink/white stripey number). Do you think she's trying to catch up with her big sister already?

oooggs · 14/07/2007 09:46

blimey emmymummy she will be walking soon

bumble75 · 14/07/2007 10:25

Wow at Sophie Emmy!!

Love the pics of Erin and Joe, soooo cute.

Had a fab night last night - L went to sleep at 8:30pm (which is the earliest we've ever got her into bed) with me fully expecting her to wake up around 11... slept till 5am!!!! Then had a quick feed and back to sleep till 8. Am not getting my hopes up for it to continue but was lovely to watch telly with a glass of wine and no screaming baby.

Got my HP ordered as well - can't wait. Am hoping one of the cinemas in town puts the latest film on a parent and baby screening so we can go to that... otherwise, dh will be left with L and I'll go alone.

Off out on a day trip, hoping to find some sun somewhere or at least somewhere different to watch the rain! Have a good day all.

xx

weeonion · 14/07/2007 10:45

hope it doesn't rain and you all have good weekends

octo · 14/07/2007 12:50

Morning all - have afternoon with just me and ernie which is nice.

A meet up sounds good - I have the baby show at end of October/beginning of November so unlikely to get away twice Maybe a southern meet up for a christmas party!

Had some bad news this morning - my friend has lost her baby at 17 weeks - it was her 5th baby - but still very hard to deal with. Also dh mum is in hospital in Plymouth - so waiting to hear what is happening.

We had a good night last night though - better than it has been - he woke at 10pm , 2 am and 6 am which is a big step forward for him. Talk of the devil - hes awake!

Pinions · 14/07/2007 15:28

Katy44 · 14/07/2007 17:30

So sorry to hear about your friend octo, how is she?
Is it your MIL or hers that is in hospital - couldn't tell from your post? Hope she's OK and out soon.
Was going to post something, but now I've completely forgotten what it was! I'm sure it will have been something completely pointless about T as usual! I started to feel terrible (full of cold) last night and felt awful this morning, but loads better now, not sure if I'm recovering or if it's just worse at night and in the morning. Also, I might have nearly finished my assignment T has been lovely today, sleeping a few times and entertaining himself in his basket in between, and I've been playing with him lots which is fun (never thought I'd say that pre-baby, but it is!)

Katy44 · 14/07/2007 17:31

Oooh I predict an AN April 2008 thread by the end of this week - I found out on the 17th of August and was one of the last ones in April, so it must be soon!

Emmymummy · 14/07/2007 18:35

Very scary indeed Katy.

So sorry to hear about your friend Octo.

NearlyHeddaslessNick · 14/07/2007 18:39

octo.

Katy I was due 2nd April and found out end of July/early August IIRC so it will probably be a couple of weeks yet, but not far off

normabutty · 14/07/2007 19:27

about your friend Octo.

Have just seen you've bought 10 fuzzi's...I've ordered a pink flowers one but still waiting for it to come into stock (think it's due next week). My bambinex teddy has been dispatched tho . I'm very cross with you for getting me so addicted (LOL)

Have a good time in Oxford CD.

SOKL, hope things go ok with your bro...hopefully he'll have a lovely pressie & apology to make up for not phoning you????

DH has managed to cut the grass in the back garden and now have my compost bin in place and in use! Also set my bird feeder thingy up so it's getting sorted. Still front lawn to cut so hoping weather is good tomorrow also, then he can do it after friend goes home.

Have decided to do something about my baby belly so have stocked up on healthy food ...not sure how long it'll last tho! Also hoping to take Erin swimming every couple of weeks and I get to have a proper swim afterwards.

octo · 14/07/2007 19:37

Thanks for messages about my friend - was going to wait until next week to call. Same happened to another friend in the same circle of friends so we have kind of nominated her to call her and see if she wants to talk about it.

Nutty - norty octo - I am hoping they have them in stock - it said large were out so assuming they have medium. Why didn't someone tell me about the new prints (((stomp)))??? eh??? eh???

Pinions - ooh a new laptop - mine is on go slow at the moment - drives me potty!

Katy - hope you are feeling better.

Due April 2008 - not me thankfully

normabutty · 14/07/2007 19:40

Octo - I've joined cloth nappy addicts and it just gets MORE addictive!!! Am now wanting some wool stuff...i did buy some wool but my knitting is crap - hoping i can talk mum into doing them!!!

octo · 14/07/2007 19:42

ah norma - what you need to do is go and buy some kids wooly jumpers from oxfam - cut off the sleeves and sew them together to make longies Very cheap and easy and you can get loads of cool patterns!

normabutty · 14/07/2007 19:46

oooh...do they not unravel when you cut them???? I might give that a go!

octo · 14/07/2007 19:49

I think you would need to sew it with wool and a big needle. Babies who wear these don't tend to wear trousers over the top. You can also have shorties (((cute)))

normabutty · 14/07/2007 19:52

Yeah, I've seen loads of pics but can't convince DH to let me buy any!!! Am hoping to get some 2nd hand ones on one site...

I'll have to have a good look round all the charity shops here for some wool jumpers then!
