Weve had a busy week. Ive spent most of the week making party bags and cooking food etc in the run up to DD?s party on Saturday. Dh thinks the party took more organising than our wedding. But the party went down well and DD didn?t cry when we sang Happy Birthday. Im shattered though, 26 kids is hard work. Today then weve had a house full all day to see DD on her Birthday and then a Christening at 4pm. DH has also been off work on leave and this has made everything far more stressful. Its like having 3 kids. In fact Thursday I could?ve quite happily put my head in the oven

DS is learning so much, hes now walking along if you hold his hands and is walking along pushing furniture. Hes got a bit of an aggressive streak though and if DD has got a toy he wants then she had better watch out as he lunges for her while shouting and trying to grab it.

Pretty- not only can I organise the cupboards but I can also colour co ordinate your wardrobe and by season
HC- Both your girls look fab. Is that your garden????? Its huge!!!

As you were all on the subject of eating bizarre things. My aunt who?s a nurse said at the christening that they did an endoscope on a 30 yr old man this week and found some Lego in his stomach. He said he hadn?t had Lego since he was 7!!

Wallace- im with you on the Chaos. With DD we never had to move or do anything she just played with her toys. With DS we have to keep an eye on him at all times, hes a destroyer who looks for trouble.
Kayzed- Im not too sure about the meet up. I can do it if it?s only about 1.5hrs drive away but not really keen if it?s further as otherwise it?ll be a tiring day. Go ahead and plan it and Ill check route planner etc to see if we can come.

Impy- Big hugs for you and Ryan. Glad it all ended ok though and nothing serious or you. Its hard trying to make sure that everything is moved before they get hold of stuff. Im always paranoid with DD around that DS will get his mucky paws on her small toys.

Annie- Enjoy your night. Hope tomorrow morning isn?t too bad for you

Annie yay yes, they're an undeserving lot fo drunkards who deserve their meal to be eaten by mumsnetters instead of them (even greedy mumsnetters who have already consumed a huge Chinese takeaway)

HI,

Not posted for a little while, just to busy. All 3 dc and dh had this funny virus, high temp but nothing else really. All better but now have visitors in the house.
Anyway dd2 has woken up 5.30 am and all ready for PLAY. Especially likes the toys from ds and dd1 with little pieces that she loves to put in her mouth.

DH is having his lie-in so just been catching up on the squillions of posts that appeared after I checked in (I went and watch Dr Who and then had an early night). How's the head this morning Annie?

DS is really crawling now, even forwards some of the time. Has also learnt to shake his head for 'no' (we see this a lot at meal times). He will also pull up to standing if you hold his hands. HV came round last week for his 9 month check. Apparently she was 'worried' about me because I was giving the strong eff off vibes at his 6 week check (and we haven't seen her since). Oh and I haven't been obsessively weighing him every week and have never been to clinic. DS embarrassingly was asleep in his cot for most of the time she was here, luckily he woke up just as she was about to leave so she was able to confirm that I hadn't put him on Ebay or anything .

Hmm, better go and sort out morning poo, he's been sitting in it for a while I think... back later

Beadmum · 28/05/2007 11:32

prettymum - fab pics, looks like you had a great time your kids looks so grown up, love the one of junior where you can clearly see those teeth, charlotte still has no top teeth. you look so glamourous, i def wont look anywhere near in my bikini this summer

maewest - glad 9 month check went well, i havent seen my hv in months now, think it was feb i last had charlotte weighed. dont know if she will be in touch now that they dont do the 8/9 month check ups here, its difficult getting to clinic to get her weighed now because once they stopped the checks ups they cut back on clinic hours so only chance is 2hr slot on thur when it is manic with 8 week checks being done, fabby nhs
weighed charlotte on our scales though, dont know how accurate they are but she is approx 20 lbs, shes in 6-9 month clothes and think soon going into 9-12 months which is fine i would say terrible mummy never taking her to be checked

annie - hows the hangover surely you must have one, made for v.funny posts last night though

kbaby - didnt know you lived in cardiff, had a fab time there, thought it was a great city and dh and i want to return someday, would be great to see once all renovations are complete. congrats to ds on his walking , charlotte can walk a little if holding my hands but nowhere near walking along furniture yet, she is also getting v.frustrated at not being able to crawl forwards and its making for a pretty grumpy baby these days, cant wait until she can do it as im sure she'll be much happier

dd is also not liking being fed except at breakfast when she is happy for me to feed her. Resorted to giving toast/sandwiches at lunchtimes a while ago as she was just spitting her food out but she is now doing this at teatime, does anyone have any suggestions what finger foods to offer for tea? gave her meatballs in tom sauce last week which she refused from spoon but happily ate in her hand

Have a good day everyone, hope that summer weather comes back soon

HumphreysCorner · 28/05/2007 11:42

Morning ladies

ANNIE ARE YOU THERE ?

You alcoholic lot! Actually kayzed-when I did WW the first time I drank whisky and soda all the time as it was the lowest alcohol. Can't drink it now as the mere thought of it gives me a splitting headache.

prettymum-what yummy pics and you are soooooo glam.

kbaby-nice to hear from you. Yes, it is my garden so lots of room for the girls to run about in. There is more beyond the hedge at the top of the pic. Have made an orchard one side and a secret garden for me to hide in one day.

Sophie's spots aren't any worse so perhaps they aren't going to turn into the pox. Have taken some pics but they aren't very clear. She has about 16 spots.

here and here

Better go as the ironing isn't going to get done otherwise.

Back later.

HumphreysCorner · 28/05/2007 11:45

x-posts Beadmum. Haven't had Sophie weighed in ages either. Weighed her on our scales and she was 17lb but she has her 1 year assessment on the 11th June-not 1 until the 27th June though. Will try and get her weighed then. She is still in 6-9 month troos and 3-6 month tops.

kbaby · 28/05/2007 12:38

Prettymum- Your day out looked lovely and get you in your bikini.
Ds has mastered pushing a push along thing across the living room this morning.

Beadmum- pasta makes a good finger food as do chicken pieces and boilt potatoes.

HC ? I would just love a garden like that, ours is ok size, big enough for decking and climing frame etc but not as lovely as yours.

SleepIsForTheWeak · 28/05/2007 13:08

will catch up on the posts in a sec, just a quick one:
Sefton has raised bumps on his legs, with one or 2 spots which look a bit blister like, oner under his foot... no spots elsewhere on his body and he is playing and talking, so not feeling too bad. DO you think it is just a rash associated with a virus (I pressumed a virus cos of the fever and vomitting on Friday night)? I guess I can call the doctors first thing tomorrow, no harm in waitintg till then is there? Assurance needed!!!!

thnx
