Hello - over here!

Ok I'll try to explain how to add a photo: I use www.photobucket.co.uk,
here
-upload photo(s) in there. Cut the address once you have the address (from the share photo page)

then you need to type in mumsnet message box

link{http://PASTEADDRESSHERE\this}

Before the word link you need to type a \ but the computer converts it so I can't type it to show you. The word (this) can be change to the link name you want to give it.

This is probably as clear as mud- can't explain any other way. Hope it helps.

Oh and did you see the thread about postnatal clubs? Crossing fingers and biting tongue (will not post, will not post ).

Gingeme · 25/02/2007 20:05

Well Ive truly fallen off the slimming wagon. Just finnished a yummy chinese meal. Think I might stuff Slimming World and just face facts that Im a 'larger lady'.People keep telling me I dont look a size 18 and they cant believe I weigh that much. So I might just take their word for it
What thread Swizzler? Where?

pmoore · 25/02/2007 21:16

Gingeme- I am struggling too. Haven't given in yet but......... we shall see.

Rumpel · 25/02/2007 21:25

Swizz - tell us where where ? - I am intrigued and can't find it.

Gingeme - you're just having a bad week what with stress and needing some comfort. You'l get back on track. Who cares what other folk think? The question is - Do you like what you see in the mirror?

pmoore - ta I will try to figure it out tomorrow.

I ended up on mn until 12.30 am again last night talking to a few Jehovah Witnesses. Half my family are jws and I just don't get it.

Have you all noticed how clique it is on here? Bit snobbish sometimes too

Can we all put thoughts out for Emzickle please - am hoping if we all think about her she get the vibes and post to let us know she is ok. I feel quite concerned about her.

LaineyandLia · 25/02/2007 22:20

Swizzler - thanks for the blog link - just spent the last hour or so really enjoying the stories and tips Was dreading weaning as i am really enjoying the bonding of bf but feeling quite excited about the prospect of sharing new things together now

Gingeme - have been struggling as a 'larger lady' for a while now. Although i feel having a lo gives me a free pass to be allowed to be bigger, i do want to be fitter and healthier for her iykwim. Struggling with food as i love it so much but having gone down to one car in an attempt to not have to go back to work, am finding walking everywhere instead of lugging my lazy a**e round in the car is working a treat

BENDYB · 25/02/2007 22:29

If you have an October 2006 baby and you?ve started weaning, please don?t read the rest of this post: it?s not relevant to you.

----------

OK, if you haven?t started weaning and you?re wondering what everyone is cross about but don't want to ask, here?s a quick run-down.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) advises that babies don?t need solids before the age of 6 months. Note: this advice is for all babies, not just developing world ones.

You can find a short summary of the WHO recommendation here .

If you're feeling brave, the page also has a couple of links to quite technical papers discussing the research behind the advice.

This is just info ? it?s your baby, your decision, and no-one can tell you what to do. I was very glad to be shown this info when my first baby was born, so am passing on the favour iyswim.

Cheers and good luck.

pmoore · 26/02/2007 07:18

I always miss loads as I go to bed early!

I kind of know how mummypossum feels- I was thninking od abandoning MN as well, only because of all the people that I belive are trying to make us feel bad for wanting to chat. If I leave then they have kind of won?
We are all great mummy's

DP spent 9 hours on the computer playing. He can't really help with Samantha at the moment except watch her while I do stuff. Can't wait for him to be able to pick her up again.

Have a good day all- exciting day in store for me today- taking DP to get his ear syringed!! LOL.

youngmum21 · 26/02/2007 07:57

wot thread???

lo finally slept thru last nite after two weeks of waking up at least once in the nite so whoooo, i can get some sleep again!!!!

BENDYB · 26/02/2007 08:56

hey youngmum, the thread is on other stuff- other subjects & its called antenatal postnatal groups or something like that,

how are ya anyway? glad shes sleeping through again! x

Gingeme · 26/02/2007 09:49

noooooooooo mummypossum please don't leave us. Yes some threads are clicky on here but ours isn't. Please ladies there are no bad mummys. We all know when our lo's need and when. Theyre all individuals as are there parents.
Oh by the way lo slept through again till 5.48am. Had a bottle then slept till 9.30ish. Trouble is cause ds3 is poorly still he woke at 6,6.20,6.40 Dh finaly got up with him about 7.15. Ho hum have a good day ladies xxx

Rumpel · 26/02/2007 12:41

Right everyone I am totally pissed off with this debaucle - it has now got to the stage where some of our Mummies are leaving 'cos of other inconsiderate individuals. Mummypossum please don't go but if you feel you need to then please come back if you need our supportat any time in the future.

I started all this with my 'humerous' thread title but am soo hacked off I am going to start a new one - I know it won't get the original interlopers off our backs but it might reduce new ones - please join me there.

So sorry for causing all this grief people.

I've only read a bit of the thread bendyb and youngmum but let's not descend to their level. I like the fact that we all get on in our cyberchats and the main thing is we are here to support each other in our decisions about OUR babes. If we have a fluffy, comfy thread then so be it. I'd rather lie on a bed of marshmallow than a matress of prickles! See you OVER there ......
