I had DS on the 5th - couldn't see an October thread yet. This is dc2 for me, I already have a 2 yo DD. Feeling ok but knackered - DD been good with the baby although bedtimes haven't been easy, I think she is jealous of the baby being in our room/not going to bed. DH is back to work tomorrow, am dreading it a little...anyone else out there? How are you getting on?

I know what u mean about xmas, its exciting and im looking forward to my meals being cooked for me lol but i think it will mean the vague routine will b out the window!!! The baby sitting went better thsn i thought and i was really pleased cos she took a bottle from my mum which b4 she wpuldnt in fact mum said she guzzled it all down so i would definatly say persevere with the bottle and hoprfully yrs will to! I think i jinxed my sleep too as been lucky quite a few nites to get 6 hrs but last nite she woke at 12 and 2 !!!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas!

dotladotla · 26/12/2015 13:52

Merry Christmas everyoneGrin

Those tommee tippee dummies are the only ones my little man will take. He has them in the car as he hates the car.

We find he sleeps longer at night if he has a bath at night time.. if he doesn't he wants to be awake loads.

Does anyone else have the problem where to put all of the babies toys they had for Christmas? He has so many and his 7 year old sister isn't bothering with hers now she plays with his. We need a bigger house

dotladotla · 01/01/2016 11:09

It's our first baby soontobemummy so not got that problem. Although friends of ours did buy DD a gigantic teddy bear - it's seriously about 5 foot tall and wide - that will be seeing the loft soon Hmm

dotladotla · 01/01/2016 11:14

I thought my DD was the only baby who hated the car! She screams the whole time unless I'm in the back with her holding her hand and talking to her.
She needs a lot of reassurance and hates being by herself at all times. As a first time mummy I can't tell what is her being a little scared baba and what is me pandering to her wanting attention. Can they learn that behaviour yet? Older folks keep making comments like 'you'll need to stop that soon'Angry

SoontobeMommyof2 · 03/01/2016 03:02

I'm sure she will get used to it my daughter sits with him and does the same dotladotla. If it helps driving without screaming do it.

How is she in the pushchair?

dotladotla · 05/01/2016 19:41

She doesn't really like the carrycot either. I think that she doesn't like not being able to see people so she should be fine when she gets old enough for the pushchair attachment. Was reading up on it and it says 6 months for the pushchair attachment because they should be lying down before then for their spine? DD will never wait til then!
We had a breakthrough today- drove to a nearby town that is 45 mins away and she slept going there and back without me besides her. It's probably just a one off but it felt amazing. We've got a trip to Glasgow planned later in the month so hoping she'll sleep for some of the 3.5 hour journey.
My husband just tried her with another expressed bottle and she wouldn't take it yet again...I'm destined to never be away from my child Hmm

Any luck with the toys soontobemommyof2 ?

Hello ladies, haven't been on here for a bit as mostly on the facebook group. Thought i'd pop on as having a rare moment of two children napping simultaneously!!Hope everyone had a lovely xmas. Ours was very quiet, just me, dp dd1 and dd2 on xmas day. DD1 has just grasped concept of presents (though she seems to think they should be an everyday occurrence now!) so we managed to string them out through the day. DD2 was so well behaved, I managed to cook xmas dinner without too much issue (prep done night before with her in a sling and dd1 'helping'). soon we have the toy issue too- they are EVERYWHERE. I'm hoping to get another Ikea Kallax unit which I find handy for storage.

dotladotla · 10/01/2016 11:38

Glad you had a nice Christmas Katsnmouse!

Nocta176 · 13/01/2016 11:37
