Stunt cut soya for a quick trial its out of his system in a week. Just because DH says its not soya and can't be arsed to cut it doesn't make that true. I got a hint from your FB that as much as you'd love his constant crying (and it does sound like a pain cry to me Sad ) to be developmental you're not really convinced it is. He can't cut it from his diet you guys have to do it for him. Give it a shot. For a week. Thanks

ChasingDaisy · 04/05/2014 13:01

Stunt, FWIW I agree with the others. You have nothing to lose by cutting out soya and everything to gain. I don't really understand your DH's reasoning Tbh.

Wandathewindfairy · 04/05/2014 13:02

^^^ about the soya.

YellowWellies · 04/05/2014 17:13

Jonas is in nursery tomorrow and I have no freelance! So I'm going to upcycle the old dresser and dining chairs I got from eBay / Freecycle respectively with a lovely duck egg paint and antique wax. Am v excited - this has been on my to do list since October!!!!!

PetiteRaleuse · 04/05/2014 17:35

Survived a 3yo birthday party. At my former shrink's house. It was nice.

Roast pork with mirabelle plums and thyme cooking now :)

FatimaLovesBread · 04/05/2014 17:46

Afternoon all!

DH ended up playing cricket again today Sad
So I went off to look at car seats and try them in the car.
I've ended up coming home with one even though I wasn't meant to, couldn't resist the bargain.

I went to look at the Britax Dualfix at £340 and the Britax Max Fix at £275, both ERF. Plan was to pick one and then order it from boots as I have a 10% off code and then you get 10 points per pound. Would mean they'd cost £306+£34 of points or £247.50+£27.50 of points respectively.

Ended up getting the max fix from mothercare, it was on managers special as they haven't enough room to stock it (a new FF has come out that they'd rather display) for £199!! Bargain, then after she'd helped fit it etc she knocked me a bit more off so I got it for £185!

The draw to the Dualfix was that you can FF later but for the price difference, if I ever decided to FF we can just buy a new seat

M will be trying it out tomorrow for our day at the bike racing

Zamboni · 04/05/2014 17:47

Ooooh, enjoy your day to yourself YW.

Stunt - big hugs as DH's attitude has got to be tough to deal with. But yes cut soya - even if he is right it at least cuts out any element of what if?

PR can I come for dinner pls?

Lush day here. Lots of tidying, sorting, decluttering, furniture rearranging and then to see a good friend with a fort in her back garden, so tired DC. Got home and DH had cleaned the whole house too. I managed to resist the urge to nitpick and so we've had a lovely afternoon browsing ikea furniture online and planning a trip.

S doesn't sleep in the cot so we're just going to swap a bed into his room. We thought about converting the cot to the bed but the room configuration is different for toddler bed/single bed and we want to get it sorted now. He's v accustomed to being in a bed at bed height and has only fallen once. Plus he'll probably just stay in with me anyway.

DH said we should sell the cot. I know I am done with babies but it's going in the loft. Just in case. Grin

Soya-free bread and crisps have been ordered from Tesco. J was soya free for a couple of weeks but DH didn't like the soya-free bread for some reason even though he doesn't actually eat bread himself! DH is away in Belgium this week so I'll be able to feed J whatever I like.

I got a nearly two-hour nap this afternoon which was much needed after J's shenanigans lately.

That sounds good stunt. The others are right it is worrh trying out a soya free diet.

I ate egg free birthday cake today. It was delicious. I will try and get the recipe.

Wandathewindfairy · 04/05/2014 18:20

Done some weeding.

StuntNun · 04/05/2014 18:24

I had a great egg-free birthday cake recipe that I used for J's first birthday. It replaced the egg with... MILK! Confused

It was about time you did some weeding wanda it really needed doing :o

Lily311 · 04/05/2014 18:30

Hello, helloo...

Mother's Day in Hungary today so went to see my mum and dad. O did a nice painting and they gave me one rose (her middle name) and a card. I was touched. Than my sister came and brought me a pot of flower and some chocs. Feeling rather special and totally ignore my twat brother who tried to ruin it.

My sister also gave me a huge sack of clothes, she is sorted till age 7. So grateful.

stunt go soya free pls
wanda I'm glad now I have no garden. Hate weeding.
zamboni keep the cot...

Lily311 · 04/05/2014 18:31

Oh yes, and I moved back to Hungary a year ago exactly. Time flies!

ChasingDaisy · 04/05/2014 18:35

Good Wanda, I had been thinking that you had been very lazy on the weeding front.

PurplePidjin · 04/05/2014 18:46

I did some weeding today too it turns out I will be having potatoes this year!

R spent about 2 hours naked in my parents' garden, but only got interested in the bucket of water we got out for him once he was dressed again Hmm

And I've posted a pic of my latest sewing on fb. I am vair proud of myself, the jumper was lovely and soft but badly twisted so it's been a bit of a battle to get something wearable :o

Wandathewindfairy · 04/05/2014 19:20

Great pp I will swap you some beetroot for some potatoes! (DH won't let me do pots he says they are too much work. Next year may I override him dependant on how well this year gives for me)

Happy Mothers days lily I am glad you feel special. Thanks

Zamboni · 04/05/2014 19:23

Happy Mothers Day Lily Thanks

Happy Mother's Day lily

Have read but so busy, miss you all though Sad

Passmethecrisps · 04/05/2014 19:29

Have you been weeding wanda?

A year lily? Amazing how time flies. Sounds like you had a lovely mothers' day.

That sounds like a fab day zamboni. I love a wee virtual browse. So will you put side bumpers on the bed? I am bry interested by all of this.

How is team valium?

I am so very impressed yw! Given the choice I would spend the day scratching my arse and staring into space!

Thank you all for your eyeball concern. I can report that I think it is well on the mend. I did every hour (every second between 12 to 6 on consultant's advice) until 11am when it had been 24 hours. It looks completely normal now and is only very slightly foggy. It was pretty painful earlier but a duller ache rather than the sharp pain of before so is suspect that it is healing. I got a proper telling off from DH for my "poor attitude to ocular hygiene" yesterday. He is quite right. I am lucky I haven't had something much worse as I am quite the slattern.

As for our day. We had a lazy start then headed off to check out the safari park. Late lunch and an eventual nap followed by buying some garden tools and pottering around pretending it wasn't drizzling. We have bought a beef Wellington for tea (morrisons - it says on the packet "inspired by your kitchen" which properly made me laugh at the very idea something should be inspired by work surfaced covered in crap, a floor covered in crumbs and cupboards stuffed to the gunwhales) which DH is making while I am sipping wine and listening to p sing over the monitor.

ValiumQueen · 04/05/2014 19:35

Happy Mothers Day Lily Thanks I am glad you were made to feel special Wine

We have been to the safari park. J drank both his sisters drinks without me realising so he was sopping wet! I did have spares, but had two thirsty girls too. Oops. It was lovely to be out Grin
