Looks like it's not teeth. LO burning up here at 39 degrees despite calpol. :(

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/03/2014 07:03

Oh no pr how is she now?

Love Rocky Road, was always my go to for taking treats to the office if required. That is such a great idea pp might do some for my MIL from The boys.

Last night was amazeballs. I did have the scallops which had been all masterchef'd up with cauliflower purée a something foam and caramel shards, was delicious. I had the mallard that had the legs confit'd and then peacan pie which was delicious. We had two bottles of lovely wine and a good shag. Perfect evening I say.

Unfortunately I consciously decided to omit taking off my make up and now my face is stuck like Confused

Zamboni · 29/03/2014 07:16

Glad you had a lovely time Sophia.

That was a good idea PP! Might steal that for hard-to-buy-for-rellies.

So sorry to hear of illnesses all round. I have a mouth full of ulcers which is hopefully stress and not the start of the viral thing that knocked me for six last September. After a pretty full on week at work which means I have barely seen the DC, I intend to ignore all but the most pressing of chores, and ignore work, and play with the DC this weekend.

StuntNun · 29/03/2014 07:22

Ah yes PR, I was vaguely remembering back to uni, there are six sphincters in the GI tract.

Poor J is full of the cold but illness seems to be quiche-wide at the mo. < Throws vitamin C and paracetamol at sicky peeps >

I have been getting ulcers continuously In The last month zamboni and am putting down to stress! I haven't had mouth ulcers for years. I have now having one of those fizzy vitamin c things everyday to try and keep them at bay.

StuntNun · 29/03/2014 07:31

Gengigel is good for mouth ulcers. It comes as a gel or a mouthwash and it is vair expensive but much better than Oraldene or Corsodyl.

I think it's an ear infection. Was 39.6 at 5. Has gone down now. She seems ok, so not flu (it's going around).

Lily311 · 29/03/2014 07:35

Morning, sorry for illnesses all around.

I had a mole removed from my face yesterday and needed stitches as it was deeper than anticipated. It now hurts but doesn't look infected. Having my varicose vein surgery on Tuesday so cooking all morning to stock freezer up. I wonder how the recovery will be with O,hopefully she won't demand going out much.

She has been waking at 5 for the past 2 weeks, is this the regression? Clocks are going forward so hoping that will help her to sleep longer.

ValiumQueen · 29/03/2014 07:36

The sphincters I was referring to were the anal and the pyloric (one at the top of stomach anyway). There are others, but it was these two that failed me.

PP heart valves are flaps - google a video as they are really quite beautiful/amazing.

J has a sore mouth it seems, with very high temps. I thought he was on the mend so I am utterly fucked off.

PR how is LO today?

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 07:53

Taking her to the Dr at 11 :) Though I think she is ok, it's not urgent, but if it is her ears best to get them checked. Teeth don't take fever that high.

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/03/2014 07:54

lily E has been waking quite a bit earlier than usual. I've put it down to the clocks. I remember DD1 used to do similar before the clocks were due to change. Hope you aren't in any pain.

sophia sounds like my kinda night.

BigPigLittlePig · 29/03/2014 07:55

F is still asleep Shock This is the latest she has ever slept. Am resisting the temptation to check she is still breathing.

PR and VQ, I hope both LOs are ok today.

Ouch Lily! I had a dodgy mole cut out of my leg a few years ago, they took lots of flesh and it stung afterwards. Good luck with the surgery.

Love rocky road, my all time fave cake. Mum used to make me a massive one in a loaf tin for birthdays Smile

Sophia your evening sounds lovely, am vair jealous of yummy food and grown up chat.

F now chatting to herself Smile Panic over!

YellowWellies · 29/03/2014 08:43

OMG it's so good to be home. My beautiful clever bear slept thru til eight and let Mummy and Daddy have a lovely evening cuddling on the sofa to a new Nordic noir drama (anyone see Mammon? was ace!). I got to tuck him in before bed Smile . DH brought him into our bed this morning and his wee face was Shock Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin . So far "boob all gone" is going down OK (there's only been a couple of arm fishing down inside Mummy's nighty moments!). It's so so good to be back with him. DH has done a v good job other than missing one dose of meds but he suffered for that as J had him up three hours one night he won't be doing that again!!!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/03/2014 08:51

Ooooohhh I saw Mammon advertised and thought it looked good. Need to see if I can pick it up on 4od. I gave really been enjoying Shetland
BTW.

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 08:52

Am now thinking LO doesn't need to go to the Dr - it was just a bit of fever. I panic a bit with ears.

Passmethecrisps · 29/03/2014 09:06

Morning.

We have Operation 50th Wedding Anniversary today. P has a posh outfit looked out and we are about to get ready to drive down to morthumberland.

What are other's plans?

Passmethecrisps · 29/03/2014 09:09

Mammon sounds good. I downloaded an Icelandic crime novel for my holidays.

ValiumQueen · 29/03/2014 09:47

Is that near Northumberland Pass Wink I hope it all goes well.

PR probably best to get her checked anyway.

So Teething - does it cause fever or not?

J has just vommed everywhere again. Just having his bottle and whoosh. I have no idea what is wrong with his mouth, and he is not poorly enough to warrant OOH.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/03/2014 10:11

Hope all goes well pass

How'd&v it go at the dr pr

Oh kyz it was birthday and anniversary! Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 29/03/2014 10:23

The only time F has ever had fevers has been when teething. Up to 38.6 both times with the molars.

ChasingDaisy · 29/03/2014 10:27

Morning quiche

What are everyone's plans for Mother's Day weekend?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 29/03/2014 10:33

Well. Today I am sitting by an all day fire thinking about doing some pottering jobs. Tomorrow I will hopefully start the day with a little peace and quiet, and then, for some unknown reason, I have invited MIL, FIL, SIL, other SIL, her husband and three kids for Sunday lunch. (Not sure if other SIL and family are coming for full lunch or just pud as yet)

Must need my head examining.

ValiumQueen · 29/03/2014 11:00

Sophia you are both awesome and crazy.

BP that is very interesting. I have always been told by professionals that teething doesn't cause a temp.

J is hot, in pain, and very very unhappy. I have had thoughts of how easy life would be without him, and wishing for a brief moment that I had never had a third. I feel awful about having such thoughts, but he is such hard work when he is poorly. When he is well, he is a dream. I just wish someone would fix him proper Hmm

ValiumQueen · 29/03/2014 11:10

All my plans have been cancelled. As usual.

PetiteRaleuse · 29/03/2014 11:10

I think it is natural to have thoughts like that vq

I cancelled the Dr. I will keep an eye on her temp and see the paed on Monday if I still suspect ears. I'm a little on edge and weird today. I've hardly slept this week and wonder if I'm going mad through lack of sleep.
