You can't they just have to grow out of it. I say no and take them down till I am blue in The face but they all still do it.

fruitpastilles · 06/04/2014 17:17

Reading about all the teeth has got me a bit worried, S still only has 4!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/04/2014 17:26

Don't worry me old fruit DS1was a bit like that the. They all came at once. Ok, yeah, perhaps you should worry, cooperate teething not good. Wink

fruitpastilles · 06/04/2014 17:31

Yes soph I bet they will come all at once knowing her luck.

ValiumQueen · 06/04/2014 17:48

Fruit, apparently the later they come through, the stronger they will be.

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2014 17:57

Talking of teeth, how "well" does everyone manage to brush? I do a count of 10 in each area (middle and both sides, top and bottom) but only once a day Hmm is that enough?

fruitpastilles · 06/04/2014 18:10

Really vq? I hope so, at least it will compensate for being a gummy bear early on Grin

Brushing here is terrible. She HATES it when I do them for her, but when she does it herself all she does is chews the brush and suck off the toothpaste.

Lily311 · 06/04/2014 18:38

She used to love brushing teeth but the past week or two she refuses. Tooth nr 13 might be the reason, maybe she has sensitive gums. Anyway, I do brush them, she cries. We brush together in the morning and I do hers in the bath in the evening.

Lovely ladies and gent, if you have any savings, don't forget to top up your ISA. New tax year started today feeling very grown up.

Did I tell you that the hungarian government opened a saving account for O and deposited £150? I think it's the same scheme as in the UK, you can top it up with a maximum amount every month until they are 18. I won't be putting any money on it though, I save my money on my account as I never know when I need access to it. Feeling bad but I know it's the right thing to do.

I need to do my tax return here and promised my dad to do his as well, plus need to pay my tax bill this week. Grrr.

Leg feels healed, they take the stitches out on Wednesday and than I can start doing exercise again. The stitches in my nose will fade completely, it looks ok thankfully. Just hope the leg is vein free looking as well.

YellowWellies · 06/04/2014 20:01

Sometimes when Jonas is scaling the sofa like a goat if I ask him to sit nicely on his bottom like a big boy, he does and applauds himself saying "tadaaaaa". Other times mostly he effectively laughs in my face! Hmm

Tea in front of the boat race went well - the right team won Smile and J finally scoffed mashed potato with his roast dinner. We had duck so I mixed the mash with gravy and a mix of leeks, cabbage and onions which I'd sauteed in the duck fat. Fattening him up is going to result in a roly poly Mummy and Daddy! Blush

In the slowest redecoration ever - my sister and I managed two coats of paint in the lounge and we're slowly de-blinging the gold painted coving back to matt white. Decorating with toddlers is painfully slow. DH took him out for four hours so we could crack on but we could have done with double the time Confused . Anyway am shattered now...... yawn......

ChasingDaisy · 06/04/2014 20:19

I just let O chew on his toothbrush. The HV said that as long as they get the toothpaste in their mouth it's fine.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/04/2014 20:22

I wait til she's screaming then scrub scrub scrub!

Chasing glad the date went well Wink

Sophia (hugs) that is difficult when you are so far away. I'm sure she would appreciate a skype chat though.

ChasingDaisy · 06/04/2014 20:28

Imagine having Sophia as your BFF. She's a lucky woman Smile

ChasingDaisy · 06/04/2014 20:28

I think that might be the first time I've used the phrase BFF.

YellowWellies · 06/04/2014 20:49

J opens his mouth perfectly like a baby bird when my sister tries to brush his teeth - for me he just chews the brush / scrubs his nose!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 06/04/2014 20:51

thanks chasing

The dentist last week basically said same as your hv I think is more about getting them into good habits than anything else. When I started O let be brush his teeth really well. I knew it was too good to be true though and now he just snatches the brush off me and pretends to do it himself.

ChasingDaisy · 06/04/2014 21:56

As with meal times, I'm conscious not to let teeth brushing turn into a battle. At the moment he sees it as fun. He loves brushing my teeth for me as well. Oh, and his future wife can thank me now - he knows how to load the washing machine, close the door, press the on/off switch and guides my finger to the start button. My work here is done Grin

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2014 22:19

Completely changing the subject, I was bored an browsing Classics and came across an old thread of mine...

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/1318402-A-small-fluffy-bundle?msgid=46255784#46255784

so I found the photo on fb and added it

It still makes me Blush and :o and laugh till I cry, can't believe how stupid I was!

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/04/2014 22:38

pp that is hilarious.

Re tooth brushing, I just let E chew on the toothbrush as well and then brush them myself as and when I can. I did the same with DD1 and she got the ok at her check up on Friday so I'll just continue to do the same with E.

I had a lovely child free day yesterday. it was my friends 40th. A group of us went to brunch at my fave restaurant and then to a roof top bar over looking trafalgar sq and finished the night off in a cozy bar. Many bottles of prosecco and cocktails were consumed. Was great fun.

chasing your date sounded great Grin

fruitpastilles · 06/04/2014 23:03

GrinGrinGrin pp that's hilarious.

Sounds like a lovely time eliza

I just checked on S and for the first time ever, she is exactly where I left her, all tucked up. I'm shocked. Dp is snoring soooooo loud next to me, it's seriously getting on my wick now. Poking and shoving isn't working and I'm knackered.

PurplePidjin · 07/04/2014 04:49

Pillow over the head?

go the fuck back to sleep baby or I'll turn the dratted monitor off!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/04/2014 06:23

pidj that was you? I never made the link. It's one of the few classics threads that have really made me laugh out loud.

Pikz · 07/04/2014 06:47

ValiumQueen · 07/04/2014 07:06

PP I didn't realise that was you Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/04/2014 08:26

Sad pikz how long does it take you?

Well. I am working today. Ahem. I work 4 hours on a
Monday ( from home obviously) so I am working 12-16:00 and the boys are going to Nanny's.

Off for a workout this morning. 2 of my 5 remaining lbs off last week. I just need to keep going now rather than thinking ah great I can have a mo hoodie packet of crisps and a a bottle of wine guilt free now!

Also 6 more sleeps till I see my DDs Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/04/2014 08:27

I think I will leave that typos as is. It makes me sound cool like pass
