Am bored. Where is everyone?

PetiteRaleuse · 05/04/2014 19:01

Toad in the hole was yum.

Girls knackered.

flouncymcflouncerson · 05/04/2014 19:16

Wow yw that's a lot of stuff!

I'm here... Blowdrying my hair before I head out to a friends house party 30th... Dh can't come as no babysitter. Can't be bothered to tell the truth!

PurplePidjin · 05/04/2014 19:35

Hysterical baby has managed to soak through 5 layers of bamboo night nappy and is now in a disposable because that's all I had to hand (cloth ones drying downstairs, emergency sposies in bathroom next to his bedroom). A nappy that has previously lasted 15 hours. That is rarely washed with powder (60* every time to kill bugs). He's still crying. Had calpol about 20 minutes ago because I couldn't believe it would be the nappy so soon.

WTF.

I need Wine which I have in the fridge and will start on once he's settled. And chocolate, which I don't have Sad

PurplePidjin · 05/04/2014 20:25

He's still going, although less hysterical. He's calming now I've sat with him for 10 minutes, but that's such a backward step. I don't know what's wrong Sad

I've started the Wine anyway Sad

Kyz · 05/04/2014 20:26

Evening all, didn't get chance to come on last night, so a few pages to catch up on!

eliza it's just a mondeo, but it's pretty nice for us Blush 2004 which is the newest car we've ever had.

I think i said e's shoe size but clothes size he's mostly out of 18-24 and in 2-3 and even the odd bit of 3-4 (vertbaudet, do they usually come up small?) I've no idea what centiles he is Blush. Nappies he is a 5+

Thanks for the biting advice pp I will try that when he next does it, I usually do tell him no but I don't sit him on the floor so I should give that a go

sophia the wine toe story made me laugh out loud!

oh bplp lots of hugs and Flowers

gosh pr that's a dream and a half you had the other night! Hope you didn't have any last night?

stunt you are braver than I am, the most exercise I have managed recently is walking and I only did that yesterday, not today too as I had planned

sophia picking e's leftovers is my worst habit, I am terrible for it Blush

I am glad you have been signed off vq I hope it helps

oh eliza I hope your friends little one is okay

E still has a bottle at night time, he seems to like it and it's the only bottle he has, his other drinks are in a cup with a straw/sippy cup. I think this is okay, he loves his bottle and i'm not sure how he'd feel not having it

gt sounds like a scary moment but nobody was hurt so don't kick yourself too hard, hugs x

i'm not sure you're quite ready for the asylum just yet pr maybe you were just having an overly emotional day?

Sounds like you had a fab time yesterday pp lovely :)

sounds like P is turning into quite the chatterbox pass :)

glad you had a good day yesterday eliza :)

sophia i did chuckle at your ramblings, brilliant!

glad you had a better night last night vq :)

apple we store clothes in bin liners and it's been ok so far

Hiiii zamboni was thinking of you the other day!

oh pp he sounds like an upset little fellow - could it be teeth at a guess? Has he eaten ok today and so isn't hungry or anything?

applepieinthesky · 05/04/2014 20:28

yw J is a lucky boy. That's a lot of toys.

We spent nearly all afternoon tidying C's bedroom and packing away all his outgrown clothes. Can't believe how much stuff he has accumulated in less than 17 months! He has a new dinosaur duvet cover and dinosaur stickers on the walls.

He's in the shower with DP now and I'm nomming a bar of fruit and nut on the sofa watching the Voice.

Hope he settles soon pidj. Thank fuck for Wine hey?

BigPigLittlePig · 05/04/2014 20:28

Things that made my night shift good.

  1. 4am bag of mini eggs
  2. Unexpected proper coffee
  3. A visit from the hospital cat, complete with kitty cuddles.

Now to the next one Hmm

YW bargain hunter extraordinaire! Lucky mini-wellies.

Erm.

Pidj I hope R settles soon so you get your Wine

Chasing we need details please missus Wink

PurplePidjin · 05/04/2014 20:44

He's quiet now. He's eaten loads, didn't nap properly as we went out so he only got 30 minutes in the sling, and a borrowed one at that Blush and all 16 teeth are through, although he was chewing his hand earlier. Tbh it reminded me of how he was when he had separation anxiety, would that be weird 7-8 months after he grew out of it?

Oh ffs, he's started again Sad I was planning to be in bed by now Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 05/04/2014 21:08

I think separation anxiety can happen any time. It's a phase.
Good luck piggy 4am mini eggs sounds like a nice treat.

kyz no dreams last night it was definitely my skipping doses of my tummy pills.

Just watched this week's episode of greys: a good'un.

Now what... Film or person of interest?

ChasingDaisy · 05/04/2014 21:26

Evening all. Just got in from my date. Which started 9 hours ago Grin

PurplePidjin · 05/04/2014 21:46

Yeah, guess it must be back. I can't think of another explanation, he wasn't like this when teething - or he was ok immediately after calpol -and he has no symptoms of illness.

BED pr Wink

Chasing Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/04/2014 21:48

Good then? Grin

ChasingDaisy · 05/04/2014 21:57

Wasn't too bad Wink

I can't stop smiling

PetiteRaleuse · 05/04/2014 22:25

I chose Person of Interest.

StuntNun · 05/04/2014 22:26

I'm pushing 40 Kyz, gotta look after myself. I hope all you young 'uns are moisturising and don't forget to do your neck and décolletage.

J is fast asleep. DS1 and DS2 are not. Hmm Bloody clock change.

OP posts:
PetiteRaleuse · 05/04/2014 22:55

I realised a couple of weeks ago that I should have been moisturising for the last ten years :(

YellowWellies · 05/04/2014 23:29

Don't they get 20 teeth not 16? Maybe the last four are moving Pidj?

flouncymcflouncerson · 05/04/2014 23:51

Yep they get 20 but the last four aren't for a wee while usually. James had 16 just now...

flouncymcflouncerson · 05/04/2014 23:54

Teeth :)

PetiteRaleuse · 06/04/2014 06:46

LO has 9. She's waiting til the holidays to do the next 7

Lily311 · 06/04/2014 07:05

We have 12. I'm guessing the recent night wakings are caused by the other 4.

StuntNun · 06/04/2014 07:32

We're on the fourteenth tooth here, just two more canines to go then we should get a break as the last four molars come through around two years old. It will be nice to be able to rule out teeth as a cause of bad sleep.

OP posts:
applepieinthesky · 06/04/2014 08:07

We had a successful night. C slept in his bed until 4.45am which is the longest he has ever slept in his own room. He is getting really good at self settling and fell asleep holding a teddy bear, not touching my face and poking me in the eye for once. Daddy put him to bed too. Progress finally?

We have 10 teeth with another 6 coming through at the same time. Once they are through hopefully that will be it for a while then.

Grin at chasing's 9 hour date.

ChasingDaisy · 06/04/2014 08:13

Until very recently O only had 8 teeth. The next 8 seem to be making their appearance at once Confused poor kid.
