J is wide awake and full of mischief! Of course he is. It is past bedtime.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 21:36

That's da rulez with ill babies and toddlers vq

I hope you get a good night's sleep

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/04/2014 22:02

Sorry vq but that did make me giggle. Hope he flakes out soon.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/04/2014 22:09

3 days on reduced dose of omeprazole and, after coughing more in the day, F has just woken coughing her refluxey head off. Fucking wankstain advice from the professional then, as expected Angry

I am so cross Angry Angry Angry

The poor gp had better refer me to someone who knows or else

PurplePidjin · 01/04/2014 22:12

I have a door with extra steel bars through after the middle of the last one was kicked in by druggy thugs.

No dog, not fair in a flat with no immediate access to grass. Plus I worked random and long shifts up until R so not fair on the poor thing. We'll have a nice big dog when we've got the house and lifestyle to support it - ideally a nice 2 mile walk to school twice a day. Vdf likes Dogues de Bordeaux Hmm I'd prefer a rescue mutt.

not desperately trying to distract myself from being nervous at all whatsoever oh no

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/04/2014 22:20

bplp That sucks big time. Sad

Just seen Game of Thrones s4 starts on Monday. Woop. I bloody love that programme.

ValiumQueen · 01/04/2014 22:29

He has flaked, and I am about to turn in.

BP doctors know fuck all about this (no offence meant) so listen to YW. The reflux oracle. Big hugs, and reinstate full dosage as I have also done.

ValiumQueen · 01/04/2014 22:30

Irish wolfhound here. One day anyway.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/04/2014 22:44

Will do as of tomorrow vq. Am livid! Am also wondering whether there is anything else food wise contributing to this, as her eczema is playing up too.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 22:54

My wonderful gastroenterolgist. He wot saved my life when all his interns were saying oh it's just an ulcer... He says not to worry that am still needing my ppi drugs (basically advanced reflux drugs). You can take them as long as you need. I'm sure the baby dose is just fine. Keep them on it. It helps, is harmless.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 22:59

LO's so called ezcema is mainly controlled by antihistamines (same pb as vq's J in that it comes up after illness) but this soap: www.sedbergh-soap.co.uk/shop/category/38/Baby--amp--Child/ has helped. We have v hard water which is awful. My mum sent some of this over and, with reduced baths, has been great.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 23:00

Otherwise sanex and nivea brands seem ok.

BigPigLittlePig · 01/04/2014 23:24

She has just had a cold, so maybe that has worsened it. A veritable minefield Confused

Back to work tomorrow, let the funky shifts begin Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 23:43

I had only ever heard of ezcema as being sth you have, or not. But LO's definitely varies with illness. And more as she gets older. She's currently free (apart from a couple of patches) of it. But other than a few sniffles has been ok. She was ill with it after flu and various lung issues last year, but at her worst after jabs. It's not worrying at the mo but have a stock of the most effective cream we have found for her jabs planned on the 14th. Dreading them. We're going to my mum's on the 18th though and she had lovely soft water. Hoping that will help.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/04/2014 23:45

She (my mum) has lovely soft water I mean. As opposed to the rub your hands in vaseline after every wash we have with the hard water here.

GTbaby · 02/04/2014 01:10

I'm sure H said As name today. Very slowly deliberate two syllables. Me and my cousin just looked at each other like wtf did he just say A. Couldn't get him to do it again tho.

Looked at pictures of H from a year ago. Can't believe he was SO lil.

Lily311 · 02/04/2014 06:39

Yes, varicose vein surgery. I had to have it done, at the grand age of 34 I still want to wear short skirts. Thankfully only one leg had it. It's not painful anymore but feels uncomfortable.

Staying at my parents still, they are both at work though. O is watching teletubbies while I try to rest my leg a bit, due to go back to dr at the weekend. My nose seems to have healed and I think I will have minimal scarring so that's good news.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 02/04/2014 08:06

They filmed a lot of the outdoor bits of Game of Thrones about 10 mins up the road from me. [ swagger]

Right. I am sorry I have not been about on the thread so much over the last couple of weeks. I know some of you have having a really hard time with illness and not sleeping and reflux and dairy and egg etc and I feel like I am not offering any support whatsoever. So I am sorry but I am thinking of you all lots . Thanks if that is any consolation.

The work stuff has really been dragging me down. I am trying to take it slowly and not let them get to me because in the meantime I have to live my life everyday and enjoy the boys. It could take a month or so to sort out.

I have also been trying to do a bit more constructive stuff with the boys in the day as well as lots of playing outside in the dry weather. Me and DS1 have had quite a few cooking sessions, O has even had a stir on occasion, and I need to make sure I get the pens out for Ds1 more so he can do mark making but that doesn't really work with O at the moment he is too much of a loose cannon.

Hopefully over the next few weeks we will really get involved in our veg patch project and soon we will have lots of yummy home grown vegetables so we can eat our 45 a day! Grin

But for today, it is raining, and we will go to family support group this morning and paint stones like bumble bees and ladybirds this afternoon.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/04/2014 08:06

Morning. Glad you're feeling better lily

LO overslept so have had a rushed morning. We're normally up at 7 and leave at 8.20, but she woke us at 8!

ValiumQueen · 02/04/2014 08:35

And you cannot even blame the clock change can you PR?

Sophia you do not need to apologise ever. You are awesome and whether you post daily or not, we are secure in your love Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/04/2014 09:09

Morning all.

No need to apologise sophia. ever x

Play group for us this morning then nursery for DD1 and chores for me, and then round to in laws for dinner. Oh and I have a cheeky little outing to the pub after that for a couple of beers to celebrate my friends 40th. Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 02/04/2014 09:48

We have been sleeping in this week too. I out it down to more time outside late afternoon. We were playing out till 7 last night while DH inspected my onion planting

Sophiathesnowfairy · 02/04/2014 09:49

Thanks both. Was noticing myself by my absence. Confused

BigPigLittlePig · 02/04/2014 10:49

No need to apologise Sophia. Did the onions meet with dhs approval?

We were late for nursery this morning thanks to another sleep in. Everyone was already tucking into breakfast Smile
