BP sounds like a growth spurt to me.

Chasing awesome! That's the biggest downside of freelancing - I do miss a decent office atmosphere and work pals. Probably why I'm on here gossiping on the days I freelance Blush I have to say though that you lot are shit at taking turns in the tea round.

Pikz · 31/03/2014 20:33

Chasing that sounds ace Grin

BP maybe a growth spurt?

Kyz hope you are all good.

Big hugs to all xx

ChasingDaisy · 31/03/2014 20:37

Pig, I was going to suggest growth spurt. Enjoy it Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 31/03/2014 20:46

Really!? She has never done this before, never! It is fab, am loving the lie ins, just, she's not done this before...

Have just made dairy free chocolate biscuits, and ginger nuts. Then made them dairy-tastic by drizzling chocolate over them. Or in the case of the ginger ones, completely submurging them in chocolate Grin

ValiumQueen · 31/03/2014 20:48

I am ok BP. Shame I cannot say the same for the wee man, who is still awake.

flouncymcflouncerson · 31/03/2014 20:50

Loving the cock talk!

Got an email informing me my application was received. Was glad to see it as I had starting unnecessarily worrying that id sent it to the wrong place or something!

Went to appt this afternoon. Wasn't very helpful as he just took a rather complex history from me. He says he's unsure I'm within his remit almost as the service he offers is a 6 week quick fix type thing. He's going to discuss me at the MDT meeting and go from there. He has suggest antiDs tho.

ValiumQueen · 31/03/2014 20:50

I didn't get short listed for the Shetland job, but I am ok about it. Too much pressure at the moment tbh fucking bastard short listers who clearly cannot see awesomeness when they see it

ValiumQueen · 31/03/2014 20:54

Flouncy do not worry - that is perfectly normal. They spend a lot of time assessing, and will refer you on if your needs are out with his remit. It could be you need the ADs to get you to a point where you can manage other things. I think I may be joining you on the AD wagon before long (again) as the booze is looking more and more appealing, even on waking (do not worry, I am not drinking too much, in fact at the moment I am not drinking enough!!!)

ValiumQueen · 31/03/2014 20:55

And I have never had a problem with drinking ever two hands, only one mouth

PetiteRaleuse · 31/03/2014 20:57

I think a v wise quichester me predicted that the 18mo mark was good for non sleepers but shite for sleepers. Hope that's the case piggie . And hope my pretty good sleeper is an exception to the rule.

flouncymcflouncerson · 31/03/2014 21:00

J is screaming. I went up after only a few seconds as he was so loud. He was standing up and hysterical. I cuddled him and lay him back down. He keeps crying out but not a full 5 mins so I haven't went back in.... Not sure what to do. My CC routine doesn't have a regime for cry for 3 mins stop for 4 cry for another 2!

flouncymcflouncerson · 31/03/2014 21:01

vq I'd rather got back on drugs than see the cpns again. I don't feel ill enough for the nurses!

ChasingDaisy · 31/03/2014 21:02

ADs were amazing for me. I'm due to come off them soon. Scary biscuits.

Am ignoring everything PR says about sleep regression.

flouncymcflouncerson · 31/03/2014 21:05

I've been on them before when I had PND after my daughter was born. I'm not averse to them. They work. I just don't feel 'there' yet.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/03/2014 21:07

Sorry chasing. It might not happen. Didn't for DD1. Much. Just a couple of bad nights but was up with LO anyway so hardly noticed.

flouncymcflouncerson · 31/03/2014 21:10

J go to sleep!! Mummy went to Asda and bought Shit loads of cheese and I can't eat it til you're asleep!

ValiumQueen · 31/03/2014 21:20

Flouncy perhaps the point is to take them before you get 'there'

If it helps, my J is wide awake too.

ValiumQueen · 31/03/2014 21:21

And I haven't got any fucking cheese!

Chasing, it is music to my ears that you are enjoying your work Smile

ValiumQueen · 31/03/2014 21:22

I cannot wait for the 18 month regression. Because that is when my baby is going to sleep through. Consistently. And happily. Without vomit. In his own bedroom. And I will sleep too.

GTbaby · 31/03/2014 21:25

Argh I'm stick in a wwyd spiral.
A cousins friend is off work on maternity. 4 guys broke in to her house , luckily her dh was home in garden and her screaming bought him in. He chased them away. They left a 2foot sword behind!
So scary.

Then this got me thinking of just what would I do if x y z happened. Need to snap out of it.

ChasingDaisy · 31/03/2014 21:26

Anyone watching OBEM? It's a heartbreaker tonight Sad

BigPigLittlePig · 31/03/2014 21:35

Fuck that's awful GT. She must be a quivering Confused, not surprised you are a bit wibbly yourself.

VQ yes yes to sleepy thoughts, J will def do that and you will be a new woman. Sorry Shetland job didn't amount to anything twats

Chasing I'm not allowed to watch obem without dh, but will get the kleenex ready when he returns. Tbh all of them make me weepy, bloody hormones.

fiatpandababba · 31/03/2014 21:35

Flouncy we've had 2 poor settling nights in a row now same situ as you in that he's annoyed but settling himself after 3 mins but upset again 2 mins later, I felt he was pausing for a response. We decided to just let things ride out. Hard! Very hard but he settled after an hour. Wasn't full on crying just shouting and pausing. We'll get there again, tomorrow should be better. So basically, we didn't follow the normal rules about offering the comfort. Argh! But it worked...in the end. Poor us on eggshells downstairs waiting.

Sorry gt cross post - they sound brave. I would like to think I would step up to defend my family but a sword!! Run!! Give everything! I'm so glad they got chased off and everyone is safe.
