Our first thread has almost finished so I thought we'd need a new one!

I've also put a photo on my profile. It's on it's side, no idea why and I can't turn it around!

Thank you ladies. I think the sleep deprivation is getting to me today hence the pity party! I feel awful saying i resent her, i dont really, i adore her. She's never been a good sleeper but the last few days have been much worse than usual. Could well be a growth spurt I guess, hope so...

We've just had our postnatal check up & her first jabs, we both cried! Praying that she's one of those babies that sleeps loads after jabs.

Tugstonia · 02/04/2013 15:50

Was wondering about silent reflux, she definitely prefers being upright or on her front. Stupidly I didn't ask about it in the postnatal checkup just now, I'm such a zombie today! Will make another appt with doc to check it out. Thank you all for your nice words :)

SpringFlowers · 02/04/2013 16:21

Tugs - no-one thought you really resented her Smile. I thought ds may have had silent reflux but my doctor was really reluctant to do anything about it. She said that his symptoms could be caused by so many things that their philosophy was now to do nothing. I didn't find this very helpful to be honest! He has now stopped making the sound like he is re-swallowning something he had brought up so whatever it was he's grown out of it. You can give 2.5mls of calpol if she is unhappy after the jabs. DS cried for hours after his and I decided to give calpol. Went out of the room to get it and by the time I came back he was sound asleep from all the upset. He was very sleepy actually for a couple of days. It might help you if your dd sleeps, it would give her a chance to catch up a bit.

Oh Spring he is so cute :)

Tugs hope you're feeling better. Of course you don't really resent her you're just nackered! In desperate mad moments have said much worse about mine! Seem to remember dd1 going through a simialr sleepless phase at same age and it did get better. Now shes a tantrumming 4 year old diva but she sleeps all night long and has done since 8 months. Its all swings and roundabouts with kids Grin

Easter hols feeling v long! Am currently hiding out in asda cafe prolonging the weekly shop as dp has the dcs

Lostbobbles · 02/04/2013 18:30

Tugs - defo get her checked for silent reflux, your dd sounds like my dd1. I went through hell with her trying to get a diagnosis. Eventually she got put on meds and we let her sleep on her front and she was so much better. We bought a movement monitor as we were very paranoid about front sleeping but after trying a cot wedge we decided to go with what suited her best.

Sending you hugs xThanks

theboutiquemummy · 02/04/2013 18:33

ooh TUGs big hugs hopefully it will pass maybe its one of those wonder weeks

Apple hehe hope you treated yourself to cake Smile

octanegirl · 02/04/2013 18:44

Wow I'm loving all these photos and stories about poo - my weekend was mostly spent dealing with said substance. Today he's done SIX! Yesterday there was a full on explosion at the in-law's house. DP had to plonk him in the sink and effectively hose him down.
I've put a photo up and it's also sideways!

AppleCrumples · 02/04/2013 19:28

Theboutique there was cake and hot chocolate Grin Dp thinks there was a massive que and thats why i took so long sometimes you just need a break!tee hee

happyhow · 02/04/2013 19:36

Salt - did you work out how to do the photo? If not, go to my mumsnet, and select my photos. You can then upload photos as you normally would. Make sure you go to my profile too and make your profile public.

Tugs - sleep deprivation is horrible and makes you think/say things that you don't really mean. Hopefully she has passed out with the jabs and you're both getting a chance to recharge. All these stages usually pass eventually - it's just a monumental pain in the arse until then!!

I've just done some tutoring and my brain is still intact!! I'm so pleased! Hubby took Bailey for a walk and went to his parents so that I had peace. Been quite nice just sitting here in an empty house for the last 20 mins since the girl left. Smile

Lostbobbles · 02/04/2013 22:18

Only one projectile vomit today Smile

Just come to the realisation that packing for three is no fun and should probably not be left until last minute! I just can't face it, I have so far opened DD1 cupboard, looked and then decided it's enough stress just thinking about it. Oh well will try tomorrow. I have until Friday so still time...... Hmm

birdies · 02/04/2013 22:48

Very cute babies octane and spring! Anyone still to put a pic up?!

Wuxiapian · 02/04/2013 23:00

Hope baby manages some decent sleep tonight, Tugs.

Is it just my LO puking up after most feeds, then?

Hoping to be able to put up pic tomorrow.

Have a good night, all!!

eagleray · 02/04/2013 23:18

Wow - so many cute babies! I already had a pic up (DD aged 48 hours), but have just added another, taken at the weekend.

Just taken Baby Eagleray on her first holiday - long weekend in a cottage in Wales! It was absolutely freezing, but managed to cope with packing up all her stuff, long car journey, co-sleeping in strange bed and so on. I nearly got boob frostbite from BF on the beach!

Did I see that one or two people have joined weightwatchers? I joined up today as weight is ridiculous. Not feeling v confident about losing weight as have a pituitary condition which seems to mess with my metablolism. Let's see how it goes...

Tugs sorry you're having sleeping troubles with DD - we have it occasionally and I've ended up feeling pretty desperate at times. I remember reading a thread about silent reflux and it did sound kind of similar to what you're going through. Hope you can get it checked out soon

Wux DD pukes a bit after some feeds, but it's not a huge amount (just enough to ruin whatever I'm wearing at the time). I was under the impression that because she's BF she doesn't need winding, but she definitely does and normally get a bit of puking after I've forgotten to wind her

SpringFlowers · 03/04/2013 07:10

Lovely photo Eagle Smile

I hope you've been able to get some sleep Tugs and that your night wasn't stressful.

Angielka · 03/04/2013 07:54

Hope everyone's has a good night. There is nothing as bad as sleep deprivation is there? No wonder it's used as a torture technique.

We're on holiday at my parents' at the mo eagle and it's a sense of achievement moving with such a little one and all the associated clobber isn't it?! lost yoy'll get there!

Molly's totally stuffed up with cold at the moment which is making her a bit of a grump but since finding her thumb she's sleeping much better.

We also had a huge nappy explosion yesterday at the dinner table while we had family round for a meal. Everyone was very impressed with the noise and power produced by such a little mite.

wux it totally depends with Molly. She was a bit windy so we started using infacol and it brings up such big belches that we tend to get a bit coming up with it. Not each time though. Yes, EBF too and definite need for winding Smile

Bunny222 · 03/04/2013 08:52

tugs sending you a big hug, sounds like you are having a rotten time. My LO is 9 weeks too, and I had a similar thing in first couple of weeks. No sleep really gets to you doesn't it. Hope yours settles down soon for you.

Off to get my little tank weighed today. Thanks for all the feedback re Strawberry mark. His skin is quite sore in places, I've been given Orlatum to soothe it, he really doesn't like it when I put it on!

Loving the poo comments, really make me giggle. He makes tremendous noise with his, can't believe the wind they get?!

Tugstonia · 03/04/2013 09:18

Thanks all. Had a better night, dd slept 9-1.30, 2-4.30 and 5-6.45 this morning. I slept well the first half of the night but couldn't bloody sleep after that! Ridiculous. Anyway she seems ok after the jabs (touch wood) & hoping she'll have some naps today.

Poo-wise she's been doing some crackers! We've had to chuck away so many clothes because we can't get the curry sauce colour out.

I'm off to have a smear test in a minute, eugh...

Hope everyone's ok & have a good day :)

shakemyhead · 03/04/2013 09:26

Morning ladies. Posted a little on antinatal thread. Been following closely on post. Some beautiful babies. Don't post due as on phone during night feeds usually. Managed to post a photo of Orla the eating machine.
(I think)

shakemyhead · 03/04/2013 09:27

PS I'm sure she understands the word boobie as it always produces smiles

Meringue33 · 03/04/2013 09:39

This LO boaked everywhere in the night after bf at 3am as I was too tired to wind him properly. He also boaked in my mum and dads spare bed. I haven't had much sleep since then :(

Beautiful spring day here though!

Tugs have you tried soaking in Napisan then using Vanish on the stain?

Still loving all the baby pics :)

happyhow · 03/04/2013 09:44

Haha Shake! My hubby refers to me as food or boobies in the hope that Bailey will call me that for fun! Lovely name for your girl - it's on our girl list if we need it for the next baby!

Wux - Bailey brings up after 7/10 feeds but he's usually guzzling! We use infacol too and I agree that it creates much bigger belches so that brings up stuff too. He does bring up 1.5-2hrs later too but the Dr and HV aren't worried because he's gaining weight well. It's normal because their stomach and oesophagus aren't fully developed yet.

Just been to the Dr as I think I have a slightly trapped nerve. It's right in between my shoulder blades so it's difficult lifting etc and doing my hair yesterday was very painful!! Being referred for physio so hoping it won't take too long to be seen.

Off to cinebabies soon!

birdies · 03/04/2013 10:07

Had jabs yesterday too and had a restless and hot baby in the night. Its easy to forget how bad the sleep deprivation is once you've had a run of better nights! She's happy this morning though except for a red bit on one of her legs. I however am zombie-like again.

Right this is really sad everyone but I'm going to say it anyway. After nearly 2 years of using Pampers sensitive wipes, I have now discovered Tesco fragrance free soft wipes. They're brill! And they even have a plastic top on each pack you can close again. Why didn't I know about these before?! Would highly recommend anyway.

I know, I really need to get out more....

birdies · 03/04/2013 10:07

Ps love the new photos too

Lostbobbles · 03/04/2013 10:18

Wux- I think DD2 has mild reflux, she projectiles approx 3-6 times a day with little possets throughout the day. Ebf as well and definitely needs winding. I try to wind her half way through, she screams but sickness is usually better once she has burped.

Tugs - good to hear you managed to get a bit more sleep

Can't remember who was considering cloth nappies but naturalbabyshower.co.uk has 15% off
