Tried to post on the original thread and my post got rejected as its full! Have copied and pasted below....

Congrats on the job offer ttl...hope the other one comes up trumps for you too.

Dd isn't quite crawling yet, but would very much like to. She is the queen of the Klingons at the moment, and has a meltdown the second I put her down, look in the opposite direction, or if someone else so much as looks at her. Not all the time thankfully, but definitely for part of every day.

On the bf thing, it's so personal.....I've just dropped doing the afternoon feed myself be cause dd is so distractible that she bobs on and off, which I don't like around other people, and now she finally has teeth the constant latch on/off was really hurting. I just bf once a day, our morning snuggle when she's nice and calm. I would be sad to give that one up just yet.

JuniDD · 08/12/2014 08:54

So glad I read they are less hungry before a growth spurt. Feeding DD is not easy today!

cookielove · 08/12/2014 09:02

Ahhh he only managed two nights of sleeping through and has gone back to waking at 3-4. FX he starts again soon!

JuniDD · 24/12/2014 06:37

How's it going everyone? DD just woken an hour after going down. She did six hours before that though so mustn't grumble.

JuniDD · 24/12/2014 07:14

She needed a big poo. Which she did all over the changing mat. Shock

cookielove · 24/12/2014 21:36

Oh how nice for you juni

Eli slept 8.40pm-7.00am last night! Shock
Grin

He's been down since 7 but woke at 7.15 and 7.30. We then woke him at 8.40 to bring him home but he stayed asleep in the car. Got in and he woke up he has taken 4 and 1/2 oz and is back asleep gonna put him in bed in a min and fx he sleeps through again!

JuniDD · 27/12/2014 17:39

Hello hope you've had lovely Xmasses!

DD doing long sleeps which is nice but can't help feeling it won't last!

Minion · 28/12/2014 20:33

Hi all! I'm moving in now.
Currently crossing fingers R will have a mahossive snoozeathon tonight as I'm dead on my feet.
Worth it tho

FurryScoob · 28/12/2014 23:57

Come on in minion hope you get some sleep.

Well done on the long sleeps juni & cookie you lucky buggers!

FurryScoob · 29/12/2014 00:03

Doh pressed it too soon!

ness I've just found your bf tread after looking for help myself, we're in a similar situation. I don't think my supply's ever gonna be good enough on its own so don't know whether to carry on mixed feeding with battered nipples or give in & just use formula. Have you got a breast feeding councellor that can help you? Mines been brilliant but now on holiday for 2 weeks over christmas, I've got no chance of help until second week of January & it seems ages away.

JuniDD · 29/12/2014 01:40

hi min! Great to see you here.

Sorry for the feeding woes ness & furry Sad I hope you both find a happier way soon.

Had a quiet evening while DD slept but just finished the 1st feed of the night so it's going to be a cosleeping one later on. Time to attempt putting her down...

Nessalina · 29/12/2014 07:04

Hey viroids Smile
Thought I'd check in - it's so hard to keep up with MN once you actually have a child how ironic is that?? Grin

Feeding has definitely been challenging, but I feel like we've had a really good 48hrs after going boob-solo and avoiding the late night FF. I've stopped allowing a bad latch, just keep evicting him until we get it right, and we're using a dummy when the cluster feeding becomes comfort sucking, so that's giving my nips a break. I really want to keep going with BF as long as we can - it's just going to be so much more convenient as time goes by. I always knew it wouldn't be easy, but I never realised it'd be quite this hard!! I'm kind of glad I didn't know in a way of else I may never have started Grin

Getting a good 5hr stretch of snooze every night at the minute, so feeling pretty smug about his sleeping at the minute which probably means it's all going to go horribly wrong soon!

I'm having a hard time keeping up with the Grads at the minute, how's Robyn getting on Min? Smile Loved the FB pic! Envy

cookielove · 29/12/2014 08:26

Sleep has become a nightmare recently not sure if it is to do with 4 month regression, teething or cold. But last night he went to bed at 9.45pm and woke at 10.15. Went back down at 10.30 woke at 1. Back down at 1.30 woke at 2.00. Back down at 2.30 stirred at 3.40 thank god went back to sleep. Woke at 6.00. Dh took him brought him back asleep at 7.20. He woke at 7.40. I got a whole lot of no sleep!

But this too shall pass :)

Minion · 29/12/2014 08:30

She's ace Ness, I'm completely Smitten.
She's so quiet and placid. You wouldn't know she was here if there wasn't baby crap all over the house.
All she wants to do is sit on our shoulders and chests and curl up into a ball like a hedgehog.
She's snoozing away next to me right now. Tried to rouse her for her 7am breakfast date we had planned. Nope, 20ml and she's back kicking out zzzzzs.
The on laws have been here for 2 days and they are just as Smitten as we are. Especially grandad. She slept on him for about 2 hours last evening.
So cute.
I'm sure I'll be tearing my hair out soon enough, so I'm just gonna bask in this for a smidge longer.
I'm mixed feeding, as she still boob averse. Which is probably a good thing, they'd smother her, so that seems to be going well, she prefers my milk tho I think.
She also did a very wet poo during nappy change last night, I literally saw it squirt out. I was bereft thinking she was poorly.

Poor girl, how undignified ha

cookielove · 29/12/2014 08:37

Fyi:

If you do have a very low milk supply, breastfeeding specialists may suggest a drug called domperidone.

Domperidone isn’t licensed to be used to boost milk supply. It's an anti-nausea drug. However, a side-effect is that it increases the levels of the hormone prolactin in your blood. Prolactin kick-starts milk production during the first few days after having a baby.

Your GP would need to prescribe domperidone, and you would use it alongside, rather than instead of, other methods of boosting your milk supply. Talk to a breastfeeding counsellor or specialist if you'd like to know more.

Nessalina · 29/12/2014 11:03

That's adorable Min! GrinIt's amazing how different babies are really, J is really quite independent, he's never been one for snoozing on us, I'd love it if he would! He goes to sleep when feeding so I get post-boob cuddles, but he's only gone to sleep on me twice so far when not milk-drunk. Maybe he's saving his Klingon stage for later Shock

Poor you cookie! Shock You must be knackered. Sleep regression is pretty common at that age though, right? Hopefully he moves past it fast!!

cookielove · 29/12/2014 12:12

ness I have everything crossed that this ends quickly! And he goes back to being my super sleeper. He is on his 2nd nap of the day now.

However he only sleeps on me during the day unless we are out and about then it's carseat or pushchair.

Oooh I do love him xx

Nessalina · 29/12/2014 12:53

Hehe, yeah, they're pretty awesome aren't they! Grin

We're off to get a microwave in the sales Shock
Here's J being a good boy in his car seat - he loves it! Smile

Minion · 29/12/2014 13:58

Awww hi j! Cute or what!

FurryScoob · 29/12/2014 15:41

Aarrrr what cutie ness

hope you get some sleep soon cookie, are sleepless nights worse after you start getting good nights?

I've gone out without Skyla for the first time & I feel really guilty Xmas Sad I've only been out for an hour & i know she's safe at home smiling at my brother but what is it gonna feel like leaving her to go back to work next year!

JuniDD · 29/12/2014 18:21

Aww, J is so cute. DD also likes her carseat thank goodness as she was stuck in it a while today. Got on the motorway to come home from a friend's and got stuck! She woke up & started looking around and I began to panic that she'd need a feed. I managed to get off & pull over but she just wanted a cuddle & went back to sleep. Awww and PHEW!

She needed to get back in my good books after doing an absolutely ENORMOUS shite up her back for the first time at my friend's house. Fortunately, I'd had a tip to take a disposable incontinence mat for such occasions so could clean her up and chuck that out. 10 weeks today!

cookielove · 29/12/2014 21:04

furry they sting like a bitch!

I hope tonight will be better as he went down earlier (usually sleeps better when this happens) and didn't nap to late

Nessalina · 29/12/2014 23:16

Hope Eli's being good to you cookie! J has gone down early tonite, not sure what this means for our nights sleep... Shock

Nessalina · 29/12/2014 23:18

Do you know Juni I was thinking that the incontinence pads I got for potential water breakings could be useful again! I thought we could use them for some nappy free time in the lounge Grin
Sounds like my worst nightmares, getting stuck in the car with an angry baby Shock Glad it was all ok!!

JuniDD · 30/12/2014 02:58

I was so glad to have it! DD is queen of the projectile poo so v little nappy-free time here. Need to try her in a muslin nappy for that, you've reminded me.

Crap night's sleep again here - six hours is a distant memory!

Minion · 30/12/2014 04:55

Don't you just love it when you change a nappy then feed then they shit the clean one right away!
The joys. She must think I crap money. Aldi it is then.
