2happy-Just tried to look at your pic and I'm getting an error message which is rather odd.Thought it might have been because I've changed mt name, but I changed it back and it made no difference!
Is anyone else having problems accessing it?

2happy · 30/11/2005 19:49

Oh crap. Have tried and cannot access any of the photos. Have I crashed the whole system??? Panicpanicpanic. Once introduced a virus that did such damage to a dr's surgery they had to replace the whole computer system (by accident - infected email, all my sister's fault honest
Did I mention I'm crap with technology....

nik72 · 30/11/2005 19:51

Oi! That was not my fault....(runs away....)

2happy · 30/11/2005 19:57

I believe the infected email came from you, pet!

katzglitterytree · 30/11/2005 19:58

i've got a christmas name too

baubleloo · 30/11/2005 20:00

I'm getting a group error message.Maybe their system is sooooooo overun with cute photo's that it's crashed.

Hi Nik72-Are you another name changer?.

nik72 · 30/11/2005 20:01

Bah - knew I shouldn't have mentioned mumsnet to you.....

Right, am back off to the comfort of my own post natal thread and will stop stalking you!!! (Tipex's fault, by the way...)

baubleloo · 30/11/2005 20:01

Like the name Katz.

katzglitterytree · 30/11/2005 20:06

thanks bauble, like yours too! think nik is happys sister

baubleloo · 30/11/2005 20:13

Cheers!
Yes I can see that now, thanks.

2happy · 30/11/2005 20:24

Sorry! Newbie crashes into the junie thread then has a 'discussion' with sister in the middle of it and may have crashed the photo page too. She's a top sister though so I forgive her (infected email was still her fault tho). (retreats into cyber shadows in shame and promises to keep quiet for ooooooh 5 minutes)

MrsWednesday · 30/11/2005 21:06

Ok, so who's broken Yahoo? Just had a look and I keep getting an error message too.

Love the Christmas name Bubbs.

Sfxmum, I know exactly what you're saying about the change in role/circumstances. I find it really hard being completely dependent on DH too, having been so determinedly independent for so long.

Love all the pictures of the Junie babies Giddy, DS1 used to pull exactly the same face when he was in his door bouncer.

Happy birthday Mr Skyler by the way!

DS2 is still poorly (cough and cold) and is keeping me up at night...sigh. Took him to the clinic today and he's hardly put any weight on recently either. The health visitor was lovely though, said I shouldn't rush weaning as he's been ill (tried apple and pear at the weekend without much success) and not to worry about his weight gain too much either. I think I'm just finding things to stress about because I'm panicking about going back to work.

Katz, will send you an email now, thanks for sorting the swap out.

troublesmummy · 30/11/2005 21:09

Someone PLEASE think of Christmas name for me. I wanted to use troublesawmummykissingsantaclaus, but its too long!

Hope everyone is ok, and all our babies are happy. Ds has been a grumpy pants today. Decided that napping wasn't for him today, and he's gone to bed absolutely knackered. Didn't even finish his bottle because he was that tired. Bless him

Even after all the crying though, i still think he's gorgeous. And today, I made him laugh a lot. Yes ME!! Normally he only laughs for Daddy but I (YES I) made him laugh.

Anyway, 1st December tomorrow, officially allowed to be Christmasy now! Was thinking of putting my decorations up, but its still way too early for me.

Anyway, Cheerio

MrsWednesday · 30/11/2005 21:21

I'm hopelessly lacking in inspiration Troublesmummy, sorry.

Like yours Katz. Is everyone doing Christmas names? I can barely remember my real name at the moment so will have to give it some thought tomorrow.

Off to bed.x

baubleloo · 30/11/2005 22:10

Hi MrsW-Sorry to hear about your Ds.Oscar has had a cough for quite a while now.If it's not gone by next week I think I'll also go and see the HV.Also not looking forward to going back to work.I've been off since April and was meant to go back on the 5th of Dec,but I've postponed it til 6th of March.

Sorry Mr.Skyler-Hope you had a fab birthday.

Troubles-It's NOT too early! My house looks like a grotto already and the tree is fantastic-I love it! Can't think of a name for you at the mo as my brain isn't working. Then again...what's new!!!

Night All.xxx

sfxmum · 01/12/2005 09:31

morning dear junies

eym-giddy-mrsW_ thanks for understanding and kind words
hate to come across as ungrateful moaning moo. dh has been quite good at understanding this, he is generally very supportive and very involved in practical ways.
must think of nice cheap present
think dd will be giving him slippers and tie, its an old joke with us.

december! how on earth...

hope all dd & ds feeling ok and keep hoping we all get more sleep.

Hello all
Just a quicky to say thank you for dh's b'day hellos.
1st of Dec and we are still in shorts and sandals here . Is gorgeous, but feels off to be Christmassy. We have a Christmas Market tonigt which should get us in the mood though. Can't wait.
SFX - It is weird having someone else earn the money. It took me ages to get used to it and I wouldn't buy anything for myself and felt I had to ask before I bought anything. Ha, how that has changed! I now look at it that I AM doing a job saving DH money as if I wasn't here he would have to pay for childcare. I asked him once who he would like to look after his child(ren) and he said me so after that all guilt went out the window. I still have my own account though and he has his and then we have a joint one. All bills are paid from the joint one. We both used to pay into it but now only DH does. I have the Child benefit and Tax Credits paid into my account so I still feel I have some money. All saving are joint too and we have to discuss any purchases made from this money (although I have got Premium Bonds in my name, my student loan cancels any credit out - currently not paying that back). Anyway that is me. You will get used to it but it does feel a bit funny. I have earnt my own money since I was 14 and so it was very strange. Being a parent makes you look at lots of things differently, particularly your own upbringing and parents. My mum visited me the day dd1 was born and said the most beautiful thing that really rung true for me: 'Now you have your own baby you can really understand just how much I love you.' I know not everyone is as lucky as me but being a parent does change you, IMO for the better. Anyway didn't really have time for all that so must dash. Hello to you all. Will get thinking on a Christmas name too. I was going to be Cooperoodolph with my old name so will have to get something for Skyler now. ChristmasnightSkyler seems a bit dull. Byeeeee

baubleloo · 01/12/2005 13:29

Giddy-Thats really awful.Hope you don't get lumbered with the bills!

Skyler-I love the Cooperoo name.

I'm in a rather good mood at the mo.Mum has just left and I've put Ds in his cot to have an afternoon nap and it's worked-woohoo!!!!
I've only tried it a couple of times before and up until now he hasn't liked it.He normally sleeps on his play gym as it's really fleecy, but he's getting a bit big for it now,so I'm really chuffed. It'll probably go downhill tomorrow, though.

Had a good look at the christmas tree earlier and I don't think it's going to last.I really hope it doesn't die before christmas,or I'll have to send dh out to get another.

muma3 · 01/12/2005 16:10

hi all what lovely weather lol
i have been ready for christmas for 2 weeks already !!
im feeling slighty left out so this will be the last time i come in here
tbh i dont really have the time to keep up and that is prob why im not involved in meet-ups and swops etc
dd3 is still not sitting and doesnt want to either haha she has 3 meals a day and still wants more (lil fatty)
dd1 dd2 are fine and looking forward to the christmas activities. would say nativities but they arent allowed to do traditional nativities anymore , imo its radiculous(sp?)
any way hope you all have a good christmas and that you all have a lovely time with your babies .
you have all been very nice to me and especially eym-skyler-giddy and anyone else who has gave me the advice , support i have needed
im afraid i just dont feel like i fit in and just dont have the time to spend on here .
you are all lovely and i wish you all the best in the future xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

troublesawmummykissingsanta · 01/12/2005 17:54

I feel like i'm getting in the middle of some long lasting friendships, but i shall force my way in!! DO YOU HEAR ME!!!! I SHALL! Only joking. Sorry to see you go.

OK, so this is my new Christmas name. Not quite as good as the original but thats all i can think of so it'll have to do!

OMG work on Monday. I really am dreading it now. Ds has been a little star lately and i know i'm so going to miss him

Hope everyone is ok. Its all gone a bit quiet on here today. Normally if i have a day off, theres about 20 new posts to read. Not that i'm complaining. Its very useful. Actually, i'm going to wean ds soon and i'm sooo dreading it. Tell me. Is it really hard?

Skyler · 01/12/2005 19:23

Hi
Mama3 - Sorry you feel a bit funny posting on here. What a shame. I have enjoyed your posts and viewpoints. I hope you will pop up on other threads though even if we don't see you over here anymore. Take care.
Right, have been thinking my post needs the following added.
I am very lucky that dh gets a house for cheap with his job which means we can afford for me not to work. I sometimes feel I would be a better Mum to the dd's if I had a change of scenery as I would miss them and therefore make more of my time with them. Being with them 24/7 I sometimes have to remind myself how wonderful they are which is . Living out here we get paid extra money and there are very few jobs available for 'the dependants' and those there are pay £2.50 an hour (no joke). We could not cover the childcare. My friend was the one who changed my way of thinking pointing out that she had given up her career to follow her (Army) DH around and look after his (and obviously her) children while he was away. She said he owed her big time lol. I love her. She is a German lady and speaks very straight. I do when I am with her too. We have very different tastes and went shopping once and almost everything I picked up she said was awful. It really made me laugh! I hated most things she picked up too. Our first born are within two months of each other and her dd and my dd2 are three days apart as dd2 was 9 days late and hers was 9 days early .
Had a great time at the Christmas market. Bought two gorgeous hand knitted cardigans for the girls and some lovely wooden Christmas decs and a Santa hat for dd1's teddy.
Lippy - I am still 100% breastfeeding (alot) and not yet weaning. The baby rice is in the cupboard though......we shall see if I last another three weeks.
Off to ELC tomorrow to get dd1's stocking stuff and then ALL my Christmas stuff is done. DH has a long weekend this weekend so I may even get the decs up. We usually wait until about the 20th but now dd1 knows what is happening I can't wait. My cloth advent calendar arrived and I am pleased with it. The characters are all finger puppets so we can tell the Christmas story with them. It will be fun.
Right off for now. Too much waffle and not much info. Take care all.

evening all

mumma3 sorry you feel that way, i know most people have known each other for about a year, but interloper or not, people have made me feel welcome and honestly i will take all the support i can get.
funny all so different and maybe in RL no chance to meet let alone get along, wishing you all the best.

skyler- thanks for nice words, i will be getting back if not in march then june, dh wants a go at being more at home and after all he is the self employed freelance, damit...

lua- i think it was you who mentioned you gave porridge to baby, this was after someone else complained about the amount of sugar in baby cereals (sorry could not find who). i had a look and was rather alarmed too.

can you tell me what porridge you use please. for me i use jumbo oats but that not suitable foe a 6mo old.

ps: i hope sleep is better, i do think of you and all others in same position. i always feel i am not far from a very disrupted night

giddy- that is nasty hope it gets resolved soon

katzglitterytree · 01/12/2005 20:09

the hipp dried range is good, just add milk formula or EBM, with DD1 i used breastmilk and found i needed to add more of that than formula.

muma - sorry you're leaving us
