So who do you actually think is going to win then?

ie what do you actually expect rather than what do you hope happens?

My guess would be a clear Tory majority because all those Lib Dem votes won't translate into seats.

anyone else?

that is why we need pr. first past the post is a bag of shite and not democratic

jodevizes · 01/05/2010 19:34

I think people are still so angry about the expenses thing that they will be a load of Indie candidates at Westminster.

I am looking forward to Speaker Bercow being the first one to be voted out, if only he wasn't going to get such a huge pension, shame they couldn't rush through a law that says you only qualify for the pension if you have been in office for a full term of election, minimum 4 years.

Otherwise, I think that the Tories will get it.

smallishsheep · 01/05/2010 19:36

If it is the tories I shall be donning full mourning garb for at least a week.
I'll still have my norks out of course

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 19:37

isn't bercow small? he could launch a 'tory boy inyour pocket' franchise

gingercat12 · 01/05/2010 19:37

Tory majority I am afraid.

EricPicklesFatNeck · 01/05/2010 19:38

gingercat12 · 01/05/2010 19:39

CwtchyMama · 01/05/2010 19:40

I am hoping the cons win with a majority.

I have been a lab voter all my life but we need a change & i believe DC will give us that.

Sdaly looking forward to Thurs & will be up all night watching the results.

nappyzoneloveslindor · 01/05/2010 19:40

I'm praying hung, fearing Tory and willing to live in a country governed by Bono and Geldof if it prevents my fears coming true.

spiker · 01/05/2010 19:52

Have posted this elsewhere - I am addicted to this website www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/ to inform my hourly wrangles with my conscience.

It give off an aura of authority and impartiality but confess I don't know if it is. Anybody else use it??

spiker · 01/05/2010 19:55

between it and MN I am totally distracted from doing my homework. am toying with idea of asking for extension on grounds that I can't possibly be expected to submit on Friday when the election is the night before.

Tashtodd · 01/05/2010 20:17

Tories - my heart and head are telling me

recireci · 01/05/2010 20:22

Hung parliament.

pinkteddy · 01/05/2010 20:23

Guardian's calculator based on latest opinion polls is predicting a hung parliament see here

spiker · 01/05/2010 20:26

Electoral Calculus predicts same but with more conservative wins.

tootsieroll · 01/05/2010 20:35

I'm leaving the country, but before I do that, I'm voting Tory, and if they don't get in, I'll make sure I don't return for quite some time

expatinscotland · 01/05/2010 20:36

Probably the fuckwit Tories.

atlantis · 01/05/2010 20:36

Conservatives.

I think people know they can't afford to let the others in, especially in a hung parliament.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 01/05/2010 20:40

Tories

spiker · 01/05/2010 20:40

Hung parliament. Can't see LD will do a deal with conservatives though, as they won't pay the price of electoral reform. Maybe they will do deal with labour if Gordy if he will back out and let somebody else be PM.

Blood on the carpet at any rate.
