Are you going to have an Election party?

I quite fancy this but I don't think any of my friends have the same politcal view as I do? It's a working day the following day?
I'm not that savvy on these subject but thought it would be fun!!!
The really results aren't known until the morning and it is boring in the early part of the evening.
What do you do think

We always do. Board games and wine until 10pm then popcorn and beer until the Michael Portillo moment when most of us go to bed and dh stays up until dawn. We did it for the US elections too. Don't think he went to bed at all that night.

Why is it sad, southeastastra? Might not be everyone's idea of a good time but it's an important event and worth marking, I reckon. And I throw seriously good parties.

I'll have to come to the MN one... shame as it's my first election, oh well. Votes for our constituency are not being counted until the next day though

We had one for Mr. Obama last year. We drank a blue shot everytime a state was won, and were properly in the bag by the end of things. We literally wept and danced in the streets.

I wish I was American so I could join in. Sadly American pal was out of the country so I couldn't join her. I am now going to look at the menu planning for Thursday.

Was invited to a big one when Obama was elected, but that was the day DS and I came home from hospital and he was feeding round the clock.

I stayed up to watch the election, but not to party .

I'd love to have one, but sadly the polls are just closing at my bedtime
