Cameron has won the yougov poll. DC put on a polished performance. What do you think it means for the election?

"Anthony Wells of YouGov (known henceforth as YouGove) admits YouGov asking these "questions, but claims the voting intention question ought to have been asked first. He also points out that the antiLib Dem questions were "Not for publication"."

Ok I see it, sorry stopped before the stop press bit thought it irrelevent garb.

Yes, I agree, this is the wrong way to poll people.

In light of revelations I'll stick my foot in my mouth and slither away now.

Heathcliffscathy · 22/04/2010 22:40

no not at all! i don't think it matters who you support, i think that all of us should be really concerned at the level of media manipulation: murdoch backed blair last time, this time cameron.

question is, should someone own that much of the UK media, and if they do shouldn't there be curbs on the abuse of that power and dealmaking with politicians? it's heinous!

don't slither!!!

Without trying to be political here, I remember when sky was born and the government was handing out cable licences that they wanted no one to dominate, there were loads of independent cable companies then the law on monopolies changed and you had virgin buying up all the independents, so you have sky (murdoch was labour now conservatives ) and virgin (labour donor).

I agree it's wrong, but monopolies have been allowed to run riot (under labour ) because the ones too benefit were lbour supporters.

Now the tables are turned and murdochs supporting the tories labour are crying foul.
They made their bed and must now lie in it.

But yes I agree that no media should have a monopoly.

A totally unbiased question from the YouGgov poll

Heathcliffscathy · 22/04/2010 22:52

i totally agree.

fwiw, i gave up on blair the moment he knowingly decieved parliament and took us to war illegally.

I do think DC did well this evening. He delivered quite a good slap down to NC on expenses.
But I also think that NC was best on Europe and Trident (convinced me anyway.
I think the fact that this has become a three-horse race at all is a huge achievement for NC.

noddyholder · 22/04/2010 23:19

kay burley is unwatchable

MrsBeeton1901 · 22/04/2010 23:30

Brilliant performance! However caveat with there's lies, damn lies and then poll results. Pollsters are a sneaky bunch who never tell the truth.
As for NC - useless! He's a typical open-toed sandal wearing tree hugging swing your pants aethist liberal!

ZephirineDrouhin · 22/04/2010 23:38

Is atheist a term of abuse now? Perhaps it really is 1901.

GrendelsMum · 23/04/2010 08:28

Apparently being liberal is also a term of abuse...
