I give you David Aldous, conservative PPC for Waveney.

Presumably they picked this photo from a set. I'd love to see the others

I won't name names but DH's ex is a parliamentary candidate and has been in the press quite frequently this year. God help us if she ends up in the House.

choosyfloosy · 19/04/2010 23:04

HerHonesty, LOL at 'I didn't meet a single Liberal Democrat all day'. She sounds quite disappointed.

We should embrace the magnificently British plug-ugliness, scariness and just plain weirdness of our politicians. Consider the alternative that the enhanced Mr Berlusconi has gone for.

Kathyjelly · 20/04/2010 07:54

Ours isn't scary he's just deeply unimpressive.

The country is on it's knees, we need someone to grab a very big paddle and get us out of poo creek, and when I opened the door to our conservative candidate the other day, he came up to my armpit.

He may well be a political genius but it just feels disappointing. Having said that, the Labour candidate hasn't dared to show his face (expenses).

Yes, I know I'm shallow.

clothhanky · 20/04/2010 08:27

Jenny Chapman in darlington, has spent the last years glaring at all the other mums on the school run ( one of those where you wonder if you have somehow upset her until you realise she does it to everyone) Now for the last few weeks she has gone round grinning at everyone, I am afraid that if she wins all that held in aggresion will come tumbling out and she will start running round the streets like David Banner when he's trapped his finger in a car door!!

littlepinkpear · 20/04/2010 08:38

I give you the PPC for Altrincham & Sale West

Graham Brady

Not bad looking but he's massive and he's Tory, which makes him scary

gagamama · 20/04/2010 10:40

I had a flyer through the door the other day for the local UKIP candidate who was named variously on the leaflet as Robin Lambert, Robin Lamb and Roger Lambert. I have been Googling for 10 minutes and am still none the wiser as to his true identity.

EddieIzzardismyhero · 20/04/2010 10:59

Rusty, that's hilarious! I think he's a little more desperate this year as he's being challenged by an Independent Tory (oxymoron if you ask me )!

Lunatic, your mum missed a trick - I'm disappointed in her !

helyg · 20/04/2010 12:20

Our Conservative candidate Luke Evetts
Our Labour candidate Richard Boudier

FGS either I'm getting old or they're both only about 12!

TheChangeSpiral · 20/04/2010 12:34

Has anybody mentioned Lord Pearson yet? As my new favourite blogger, Johann Hari, puts it "Have Monty Python reformed and invented the new UKIP leader?"

Anyone in need of a giggle at any point today should find this does the trick:

Tony Benn's 18yo granddaughter is scary, not in a looks way but just by the fact she's so young. There's also some 18 year old boy standing as an independent candidate in Derbyshire.

ZephirineDrouhin · 20/04/2010 12:56

We have Harry Enfield as Tim Nice But Dim for our Tory candidate

LadyBlaBlah · 20/04/2010 13:02

And people ask me why I won't vote Tory?

Check THIS out

His own personal photo gallery is a particular pleasure.

If anyone can spot a hair out of place in any of the photos, you win a special prize

Sweeedes · 20/04/2010 13:04

Only scary in a "but he's in the fifth form at my son's school" sort of way. I give you Frodo Baggins

LadyBlaBlah · 20/04/2010 13:07

Jeeeeeeeeeeez what is that?

His name is Bottom

Molesworth · 20/04/2010 13:12

Hours of entertainment to be had with tory galoot Ben Jeffreys' photo gallery LadyBlaBlah, thanks for sharing

thehillsarealive · 20/04/2010 13:12

hmmf well mine is Nigel Farage of UKIP, he is a tool of the highest order and shant be voting for him.

The other in my constituency is Jon Bercow - who is speaker of the House and the big parties wont vote against him because of his status. harrummmff.

I do think I win, mine has been on quiz shows and everything to show what a prat he is!

LadyBlaBlah · 20/04/2010 14:22

It actually says this on his website as the main comment about Ben Jeffreys:

"David Cameron comments on Ben:

"Ben Jeffreys, our Parliamentary Candidate in Cheadle, has got young kids to join a local Rugby Club, teaching them the importance of discipline and teamwork."

DCam - a stuck up rah rah Tory Rugger boy? Who'd have guessed it!

jonicomelately · 20/04/2010 14:31

Noseynoonoo. Are her initials JC?

LaytonRocks · 20/04/2010 14:59

NoseyNooNoo · 20/04/2010 15:17
