It’s possible that a more extreme government would motivate more people to leave, and certainly those who have the nationality/language means might. Lots of Europeans left after Brexit even before the law changes because they felt unwelcome. We might see an exodus of medics for example, which would be disastrous.

But just like we don’t see all the rich people who threaten it leave under a Labour government, we wouldn’t see all the rich people leave under a Reform government. Most people are not that mobile, most British people don’t speak another language and don’t have ancestral or additional citizenship, they have kinship or business ties here, their skill set is less in demand abroad etc etc.

I don't think donations should be allowed from people who have chosen to be domiciled overseas, but under the current rules, there is nothing to stop this.
