If anything I’d suggest that this makes a GE anytime soon much less likely. Burnham has until 2029 to demonstrate what Labour can achieve and there’s a reasonable prospect NF will be a convicted criminal by then. Why would he rush?

Seriously. The polls tell us that the majority of the electorate don't support Reform and don't think it is the answer to the UK's ills.

As the saying goes ‘not everyone who votes Reform is a racist but all racists vote Reform (or Restore now to be completely fair)’. Even if not wholly accurate it’s not company I would want to be keeping.

A fair proportion support Reform. Lots of research out there if you have the notion to look at YouGov and other research. I believe the Times did something too.

It’s not just the left that think that. A lot of center-right and non-racist right think the same thing, but Reform activists like to make out otherwise.

Kind of people who say let’s hope it’s used to get rid of Labour seriously don’t give a shit about the average person - even when they’re often one themselves but doing ok because if they did they would be concerned at why billionaires ( and usually from crypto etc) are funding Farage - it’s not because they are nice people , they live in areas where they can usually dodge tax and contribute very little and strange that Farage had made crypto a central policy - cryptos main use is hiding money used in dodgy industries, drugs, porn, gambling, fraud etc -

Because a lot of Labour MPs are ideologically opposed to taking money away from the poorest in our society. That doesn't mean that they think all benefits recipients vote Labour. They know that this is not the case.

As to your last sentence, please clarify/expand.

The data consistently suggests that Labour gets more support from higher income households, graduates and socioeconomic classes AB while Reform gets more support from lower income households, non-graduates and socioeconomic classes C2DE.

Well of course they do. Nobody is suggesting that they shouldn't.

Because Reform are into the kind of dumb, divisive politics that gets people fighting amongst themselves, and disaster capitalism which makes some individuals an awful lot of money. While people are fighting amongst themselves the billionaires quietly get on with getting richer while life gets much harder for everyone else.

That brings up an interesting question. Is there any research on voter turn out by income level?
