Came across this sweet and quietly political piece about Bookstart and remembered how it used to be more generous than it is now even. Is it a sign of how we just come to expect less over the years? Isn't that quite sad?

To be fair the book came in your pregnancy pack really early on. Plus all the info in one place including info you didn't know you needed to know.

There was nothing like that when I had mine (2017/18) but was questioning as OP replied to say that a book would have been really useful. Just wondering if people sometimes genuinely dont consider that they can seek these things out themselves.

We got the pregnancy book when had DD in 2015 but not by the time had next one 3 years later, think it was a QR code by then
