If Trump loses do you think Melania will leave him?

Been watching The Trump Show on BBC iPlayer and the number of scandals with women and the distance between them is so obvious. Once the Presidency is over do you think she will leave him? She looks so pissed off most of the time.

@VettiyaIruken

Nah. He'll still be powerful and filthy rich. If that changes, then yes.
Not if he is in jail!

@ScrambledSmegs

I think she's significantly more ruthless and invested in their marriage than the 'free Melania' brigade are willing to admit. They'll probably live separate lives but not divorce for a while.
I don't think she is that clever. She also looks as though she is 'out of it'. I wouldn't blame her for getting what she can, she has a son to look after, but I do not see her as a calculating person.

You do realise that his riches are another one of his fictions? Most of his "riches" belong to others, and he's just a front man on a stipend. Ok, it's more money than we have, but it's not riches. If she left him she'd probably end up with nothing. This is all a matter of several public records. He inherited a lot, but he's a completely incapable business man. It's all smoke and mirrors.

The recent article about his tax avoidance in The New York Times said he personally owes £300milllion. The loans are due in soon.

Well that’s how they got Al Capone...

@CoronaIsWatching

They probably have a deal that if she delays divorcing him until after he has left office, she will get a favourable divorce settlement.
This.

I really don’t care if she does or doesn’t. She seems like a truly terrible person. Whatever this is, is clearly and visibly awful for her but I don’t necessarily wish her better times ahead.

I truly JUST asked a friend of mine this question yesterday. She said, Not right away.

Did you know she just negotiated a better contract with DJT when he took office? That's why she didn't come to Washington at first.

Frannibananni · 06/11/2020 02:21

I think this is a a transaction to her. Why would she leave him if they don’t live together anyway. She will only leave if she thinks she can get more money that way.

I think if he wasn’t president they would barely see each other, just appearing for photo ops at various social events.

So him being president is probably her worst nightmare. Once he is out I can see her being happy to live separate lives but stay married. It probably gets her invited to lots of functions and attention that being the ex wouldn’t.
