If Trump loses do you think Melania will leave him?

Been watching The Trump Show on BBC iPlayer and the number of scandals with women and the distance between them is so obvious. Once the Presidency is over do you think she will leave him? She looks so pissed off most of the time.

OP posts:
FortunesFave · 20/10/2020 08:53

There's nothing stopping her from leaving now. So I doubt it.

Ibiza1998 · 22/10/2020 22:43

I think people paint her out to be a poor victim of his, trapped in that marriage, but she is apparently as ruthless as he is and she's obviously made a conscious choice to stay with him. She knew what he was when she married him.

CoronaIsWatching · 22/10/2020 22:44

They probably have a deal that if she delays divorcing him until after he has left office, she will get a favourable divorce settlement.

TheSpottedZebra · 22/10/2020 22:45

Agree that their deal will account for all eventualities.

thebeatofthedrum · 22/10/2020 22:53

I think she's probably as bad as he is.

jessstan1 · 22/10/2020 23:00

She always looks to me as though she is on another planet. I think she will be glad to escape eventually.

ginghamstarfish · 22/10/2020 23:04

Yes, I also imagine there is some kind of actual contract between them, maybe she will stay until their son reaches a certain age.

Zeebeezee · 22/10/2020 23:06

There must be substances involved on both sides to zone themselves out AFAIS.

That is lighthearted, because WHO would lower themselves to share a bed (if they do anymore) or live with that totally embarrassing Neanderthal.

Sorry for the rant. I mean well.

LadyWithLapdog · 22/10/2020 23:07

They should stay together and live in mutual disgust of each other.

FairFridaythe13th · 22/10/2020 23:10

I guess the existence (or not) of a prenup may direct her decision.

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 22/10/2020 23:11

I don't know. I would if I was her but then I wouldn't have married him in the first place and had a surname synonymous with fart.

Buggedandconfused · 22/10/2020 23:11

It depends, she’s miserable now because despite their vast wealth, her freedom to plunder it was curtailed when he became president. Maybe when she can do so again she’ll be happier. I mean, it’s the only reason she married him.

pandafunfactory · 22/10/2020 23:12

Yes I think so

VaggieMight · 22/10/2020 23:12

I think it's more likely that he will leave her. When he cheated on his first wife he said it was because he wanted a woman who hadn't had children. He married his second wife under pressure from his parents because she was pregnant. He's had his sight on being president for years, being married suits the role.

I don't think she's as bad as him. I think she's in an abusive relationship.

amusedtodeath1 · 22/10/2020 23:16

Oh I fucking hope so, she looks miserable and who can blame her.

I mean how can she not have the "ick" when she looks at him? Can you imagine having sexy time with Trump? Poor woman deserves a medal along with her big fat divorce settlement.

ohidoliketobe · 23/10/2020 08:40

I've always thought this. Like a post nuptial agreement
LilacCandle · 23/10/2020 08:44

I used to feel sorry for her but her ex friend released a recording of a phone call they had and she didn't seem that nice. Quite sneery

FairFridaythe13th · 23/10/2020 09:17

I do wonder at what point rich/powerful men stop looking for young/pretty wives to replace the middle aged ones and settle down with a soulmate rather than a mannequin.

ssd · 23/10/2020 09:18

I'm sure she knew what he was like long before they got married.
Perhaps she's the same as him.

Disfordarkchocolate · 23/10/2020 09:19

I think she'll wait until Barron is 18 or 21. Between now and then they will go back to living separate lives.

VettiyaIruken · 23/10/2020 09:20

Nah.
He'll still be powerful and filthy rich.
If that changes, then yes.

AestheticWitch · 23/10/2020 09:30

Oh no, they deserve each other, they should not make anybody else miserable!

TheSpottedZebra · 23/10/2020 13:32

I do wonder at what point rich/powerful men stop looking for young/pretty wives to replace the middle aged ones and settle down with a soulmate rather than a mannequin. When they need a carer. So they have a 'soulmate' partner and a hot young nurse.

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/10/2020 13:35

@VettiyaIruken

Nah. He'll still be powerful and filthy rich. If that changes, then yes.
Doesn’t he owe a $billion?
ScrambledSmegs · 23/10/2020 13:42

I think she's significantly more ruthless and invested in their marriage than the 'free Melania' brigade are willing to admit. They'll probably live separate lives but not divorce for a while.
