So they stuck a Labour poster over it to make it look like hers

All the images used were taken from an angle that didn't show the staircase.

They just keep getting caught out, don't they. John McDonnell's comment might have been inappropriate but he wasn't wrong Grin

So I joined the Labour Party after the last General Election. I voted for JC for leader because his views tallied with mine.

The vast majority of people I see at Momentum meetings are under 40 - so claiming they are Militant in disguise is bobbins. But there are clearly (I live in Liverpool by the way) some members of Militant who have joined Momentum - I had an email the other day from someone calling the MPs who voted for the welfare bill "scabs".

I haven't come across anyone who has been violent, aggressive, or calling for actions that are criminal. I have come across some people who decided a position about 10+ years ago and are incapable of reason or considering alternative points of view.

The headlines should have read "Window broken in Wallasey. In other news, Pope seen in funny hat, bear seen entering woods with bog roll".

This shall not be tolerated.

You sound a bit like the politburo there. Or Militant.

Labour will never be in government again thanks to Corbyn and his acolytes.

A sad end to a fine party, but deserved.

EllenDegenerate · 06/08/2016 20:04

No, I'm simply a person who refuses to tolerate lies which result in the effective silencing of peaceful party members.

If you think that I should be barred from making such an assertion lest I sound 'militant', then please be assured that I will be respectfully disagreeing with you.

Ms Eagle cannot hold surgeries because of threats, threats which the police have confirmed. Several MPs are being intimidated by a certain group, mainly new members and supporters, of CLP meeting attendees. That is what is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. We do not elect MPs to be part of a hive mind, at least not beyond their party affiliation - indeed, Corbyn himself has never supported his leaders - we need them to think independently and in the best interests of their constituents, whether Labour voters, Tories, Kippers or can't-be-arsed-getting-out-of-bed-on-polling-dayers. Momentum and many, many Corbynites threaten this true democracy by their attitudes.

The feelings of betrayal are mainly within the CLP. I'm not too far from her constituency and I know a few people in her constituency who, if pressed on what they think (not by me!), quite like her and don't care that she stood against Corbyn. Most think Corbyn should stand down. Not a proper representative sample of course, but reasonably representative of people outside our echo chamber.
