WELL DONE DIPPY
good news is dh had his pre op assessment on weds and said theres no way he could get to hosp for 730, so they have changed it to 9, means he can get bus, maybe then taxi from the bus station, but thats ok
its me going to alpha , mum has been christian for so long , she knows it all, well maybe not all, but i had already asked to stay on weds eve, so she came with me for the free meal , i mean, company.
i like the ice breakers exercises , eg think of an adjective to describe yourself, using the intial of your name, quite funny.

PandaG · 26/09/2008 13:13

thanks v much CD - I had got completely overwhelmed with the last thread - roundup is so helpful. Praying for you all xxx

Notquitegrownup · 26/09/2008 14:37

Well done, to the Dipster! Thank you soooo much for your incredibly thorough summary. You are a superstar!

amber32002 · 26/09/2008 17:00

Oh, I don't think I'm on the summary any more

Clockface · 26/09/2008 17:37

Oh Amber! We add you to our prayers, esp. for settling into a welcoming, loving church.

Please pray for my dd. She is doing my head in! I get quite upset most days atm because she takes offence so easily and can be really harsh in return. It's the same at school and she can be so hard on the other kids. I am worried that she'll end up with no friends as she is very quick to say "I don't like you any more" and to mean it and not play with that child any more. She told me today that she hasn't spoken to one grl in her class since they were in reception, because of something that the other child had done! I don't know how to get through this with her as she is convinced that she is a wonderful friend / daughter / sister and that it's everyone else who is rubbish (inc. me, dh and ds).

CaptainDippy · 26/09/2008 18:21

Oh amber - you are on my hand-written summary - I promise. I am really am so very sorry. Hee's what I had written .....

amber - Prayers for amber as she settles into her new(ish) church and for her DS has broken his foot.

Apologies again

Great that they moved your DH's appt mufti How are you feeling about it?

Sounds tough with your DD Clockface - girls are a funny breed. She sounds quite arrogant CF, perhaps she is using this over-confidence to mask true feelings? Perhaps she is scared and people not wanting to be her friend? What was she like as a younger child? Noisy? Quiet? Thoughtful? Physical? Praying for her; and for you as you deal with the challenging behaviour. When is her Birthday? Will there be a Party? Might be worth mentioning it'll be a pretty lame party if she has no one to invite!!?

Thank-you for the round-up CD. I love the title. It made me smile. Your cute new pics cheered me up as well.

Thank-you to everyone who has been praying. I hate feeling like this, but at the mmoment I do understand why women who have severe sickness contemplate terminating their pg. I'm not sure that I want a DC3 now. I just keep thinking that I never have to do the last hour/day/week ever again and we're that bit closer to having our precious DC2.

Doctor was a bit understanding but basically said that I just need to ride it out. He gave me another prescription for more of the anti-sickness meds that are by no means a cure and aren't made any more. After phoning round all of the pharmacies in the local area (30+) I phoned the doctor and said that I really couldn't get hold of any more. He has changed my prescription to some tablets I find it hard to keep the tablets down so don't know how I'll get on with them. At least he was sensible and told me to try and drink a dioralyte each day to keep my electrolytes from going haywire. If I'm still struggling, I'll specifically ask for some ondansetron (very expensive anti-sickness) but I'm trying to stick to what I have because it is actually licensed for hyperemesis.

On a positive note, I phoned DH after I posted earlier and told him that I was being too sick to look after DD. He managed to arrange working from home and looked after DD for me. He has also managed to cancel his weekend away which was a really important weekend. He is away mon-weds next week which are the days that I work. If it comes to, I'll go sick at work and the childminder will pick DD up from our house and my dmum will pick her up from the childminder on mon and weds.

I'm off to bed (again) now. But I couldn't go without saying Mary finally you have your diagnosis! I'm so happy for you. I have been praying for you lots but not feeling well enough to sit and type about it. God is good!

livvylouis · 26/09/2008 22:19

Sadly DH aunt passed away a couple of weeks ago , she will be missed greatly.

Prayers to you all, God bless all of you xxx

i do love that area, weather is supposed to be staying good too which is a blessing.

Clockface · 27/09/2008 10:05

mufti · 27/09/2008 10:08

will pray , got to get dressed , but will read yout thread properly later CF

ZipadiSuzy · 27/09/2008 10:57

Mary, prayers for you atm with ds, and congrats on results of your Aspergers

CD - Lovely piccys, have you seen my dts fisrt day at school piccys, there is just something so vulnerable at the same time so cute about 1st day piccys ooh and thanks for the round-up, sorry I didn't realise how much I had asked of God last month, must be more grateful and thankful.

Clockface, prayers for you and dd, I hope you get a result from 'no slapping' good dh is supportive, I struggle that my dh is 'one of the kids himself' he has no dicipline power at all. (lol, visualise dh sitting on the naughty step)

SS - Poor you, I remember it well with dts preganancy, I had pessaries, would that be possible for you? I had them the whole preganancy, made life just bearable, even though I was still very fainty!

mufti · 27/09/2008 13:14

clockface , i pray especially that you and dh unite with your reactions and handling of dd, that she cant play one off against the other and create tensions that way.
perhaps more one to one time between you and her if possible, that if she is unhappy, that she will talk to you about it.

Swaliswan · 27/09/2008 13:25

Mufti, I had my school leavers ball at Elmers Court!
