Does this phrase irk anyone else?

Like if you're not a Christian, you can't possibly hold such high moral standards?

Well, I know what I think JWD - J'd not have any time for the many sanctimonious pricks I've met who have called themselves Christians, that's for sure. Nor their happy-clappy churches. WJWD is to be off down the Aids hospice shaking hands with the patients. And then he'd pop into the local drug rehab centre for a chat. And so on. And good on J.

Do you know, I sort of agree with you. He was a pretty radical geezer with no time for the establishment and no time for the religious hypocrites of his own day.
