What spiritual practice has helped you the most? I have explored so many things and find myself quite stuck at the moment. I want to get back on a spiritual path.

Faith in Christ Jesus, Bible study with my study group, mediating on God’s Holy Word, and prayer. It all work for me.

Ipsevenenabibas · 17/08/2026 10:28

As above. Praise God.

I am looking for suggestions beyond conventional christianity if possible.

I’m Pagan and as the name suggests. My path is very eclectic though

Noodge · 17/08/2026 10:55

Paganism.
Recognising our part in nature as another animal, rather than the doctrine that other religions follow that we're somehow 'speshal' and should be in charge of the fates of other animals and that we get an afterlife because of this, whereas they do not.

Oh, right, okay. It was not stated in the opening post that all spiritual practises that have helped the most, are not welcome, only some. You had my answer, and it still stands even though you have clarified what you wanted from the question. Hope you get what you are looking for.

Well, I could avoid your post then as I'm a Christian but as others read posts here, then I will still state that it's only via the practise of my faith that I've found help, in particular reading the word and studying it in my Church group.

Relax, inspiration will come to you. It may be anything. The spiritual path you're on is your alone. No one else's can help you. Be patient.

Meditation can be helpful, and doesn't necessarily have to be done in a 'spiritual' sense.

Personally, I find ancestor veneration - as well as practices aimed at communicating with our loved ones in the spirit world - to be helpful, as it helps keep me connected with them, helps keep me in touch (somewhat - though it's not substitute for having them physically here.)

Speaking to some people developing mediumship skills at a local development circle has been helpful on a couple of occasions, especially one time when one of them was able to touch base with a friend of mine who had recently died. I was in no doubt that she had made contact with him, and just having the additional confirmation that he still existed (which I already believed anyway) was good.

Magic can be helpful, although I wouldn't define it as a "spiritual" practice, although there are some spiritual elements to it.

Do not despair.
A door will open
where there was
no door before.

Bringing all of my worries, fears of the unknown, sorrow about the state of the world etc to Jesus Christ. Reading the bible and learning that what we're going through is unique to us but not to time. The bible holds so many answers regarding how I need to navigate people and events which mirror our times. Physically, emotionally and spiritually, I feel Jesus Christ has provided me with the armour I need to ensure I do not fall into despair.

Depends what you mean by "spiritual". There are many tools that could be classed as spiritual, but could be also considered mainstream. Meditation for instance, shadow work or psychological integration.

Perhaps that's where you start. Follow what resonates with you! The poems of Rumi are insightful.

christianity is the only way you will find true peace and love and light. The rest is a lie.
Jesus Christ is the one and only King. ❤️

I plead the blood of Jesus over all of my fellow Christian’s and the lost souls on this group. May no weapon formed against you, prosper, and may the holy spirit be with you all ❤️

What a very Christian answer.😁
God bless you 🙏

Daily meditation. It helps ground you in the moment and also opens you up to go beyond thoughts and emotions.

If you're looking for a path or set of teachings and Christianity doesn't resonate, try Buddhism in easy steps. If you want something more mystical, I like the books by Joel Goldsmith, albeit he draws upon the Christian faith but in a context that you might resonate with better.
