Fed up with Jehovah's Witnesses calling at my door

I am fed up of having Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on my door. I mean each to their own, but you don't get people from the church of England knocking on your door trying to recruit you. I just think it's out of order that they go around trying to recruit people into some weird cult.

My window cleaner and his family are JW’s.

They were neighbours when we were kids and the parents never knocked on our door or tried to convert us, but I did used to ask them questions about their faith and practices . As a kid, I felt sorry for them for not getting birthday and Christmas presents. They told me when they get jobs they have to give a percentage to the Kingdom.

Anyway, not been neighbours for years, but the Dad and son still clean my windows. They never talk about JW - you honestly wouldn’t know if you hadn’t known them for years.

We always have a good chat when I see them. Our kids are all into football, so we have some great chats about the footie. They are really nice, normal people. The Dad always compliments my house every time I see him.

We get the odd Mormon round, but I’m usually too busy to answer the door, but I wouldn’t be rude to them if I did answer. I would just be firm and polite.

We had some call this week. Me and my husband were guessing which political party was calling now and we obviously both lost that round 😂

We never had them until recently. They are now like a plague locally, with a weekly stand and knocking on once a quarter or so.

It's intrusive.

I think they’re harmless enough. Doing what they feel called to do.

Trick them into saying Jehovah
Then with friends help ..brick em
