So glad to hear that CC. I wasn't around when you had ds but being on your own having panic attacks is no picnic.
Spare a prayer, all of you for CvQ who is having one heck of a struggle. Really needs our prayers.

CaptainDippy · 26/06/2008 20:16

Great stuff CC

Praying for CVQ. xx

Oh amber xxxx God wrap you up in His love and care.

Praying for fantastic solution for Sept - Dec Mary. xx

Well Done Weegiemum and Dad!! How exciting!!!!!

MJIM - that is a rather negative and "rambling" report write-up ..... I would tackle them about it and perhaps about the attitude this reflects in their care of your child and indeed of all the children in thier care. I wouldn't accept that.

Evening All,

Just a quick update. I have been reading and praying for you all. Well, I went to the doctors this morning after spending all last night being sick (again) and he is sending me for loads of blood tests to see if there is an underlying reason for me getting ill all of the time. He found that my glands in my neck are swollen even though they don't hurt. He was quite surprised about how many infections I've been having and got me to make another appointment to see him. I also was very brave and let him examine me to confirm that I have three anal fissures still since giving birth 13 months ago. They obviously look bad as there was a very sharp intake of breath from the doctor and nurse and he wasn't surprised that I'm in pain. He was very lovely about it and I'm glad that I went. I'm feeling very anxious about the results of my blood tests and would appreciate some prayers.

Other than that things are all fine at the mo. Poor DD is teething but is taking it reasonably well. She started saying 'Mama' yesterday and is being very cute at the mo. Our childminder has taught her to say 'ta' at the appropriate moments so she is very polite as well DH is well and his mother is coming down to visit this weekend. He was very lovely after I'd been told off by my boss (for something that wasn't my fault and that is a whole story in itself) and cheered me up with a fantastic breakfast.

DutchOma · 27/06/2008 08:53

Praying for you SS and for all in need today.

amber32002 · 27/06/2008 09:39

Praying for Astrophe?s friend ? that she will find clarity and peace in her relationship issues

For CC, that the church leader will realise that they have to handle the situation WAY differently to this

For NSFN, that your love life in the future will be all you dream of

For Jentlydoesit?s DD, that she?ll be well and happy

For FAQ, that H behaves, and that you?ll feel your confidence improving with this new man in your life

For CD, that you?ll find the strength and support to get through all of this

For bottersnike, for continued recovery and healing

For bealcain?s friend, for healing, peace and the strength to endure the treatments

For myjobismum, that the teaching staff realise how negative that sounds, and do a much better job of explaining what point they?re trying to make and how they?re trying to guide him. And that your ds gets well soon.

For Sooz?s mum to be restored to health again

For Mary, that you?ll be guided by God to the right place, and find all the support you need to make it a well deserved success, and that your son will find some way to keep going to church.

For SS, that all your health situations will improve, and the pain will go. Brilliant news about DD?s first words!

Prayers of thanks for all who have said things have gone well for this week. Praise be!

Some good news here ? one of the people has now said that he will help me, and he?s really sorry for the way his group has treated me. Thank you so much everyone for your prayers.

Some more sad news though ? the vicar of new church said he?d be talking to some people to see if they could be a supportive presence for me in the church so I have the courage to go there more, but that was a month ago now and he keeps saying he?s just been really busy. Sometimes people say they?re really busy because it?s rude to say ?actually I don?t want to do this?. Can vicars be really too busy for a whole month to pick up the phone to two people and have a brief chat, to make it possible for me to be there more than one week in four (when I?ve built up the courage to have a go)? I don?t know that I have the courage to keep trying to find a church.

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2008 10:22

Fabulous summary amber to you - praying they'll soon be light in your difficult church situations. xx

Oh SS you poor poor thing Soooo plesed you went and saw dr though - a step in the right direction Praying things can be resolved now for you sweetheart. xx

CaptainDippy · 27/06/2008 11:42

Oh bless her Mary - hope she feels better soon

Please pray that I can start sleeping better soon

notsofarnow · 27/06/2008 20:29

CD how are things?

None of my dc have been particulary well this week dd1 has had rather nasty kidney infection with blood red wee, and the other 3 have coughs and colds. Alos dd 3 and ds are really being little pickles atm. Don't know if their tired because nearly end of term or what but dd is being really naughty and ds has started kicking and punching if he cant get his own way and sucking his thumb (which he has never done)

Date went really well lasted for 5 hours but don't know what I feel. Am I supposed to feel this big spark or excited or that this si the man that I am going to be with for a long time. I feel none of the above - he's a really nice guy who seems too good to be true. Am I expecting too much too soon or what? Taking into consideration tht it was the first date.

Love and prayers to you all, you are all wonderful people and was thinking the other day I can't believe how long this thread has been going for. CD do you know when it started?

MaryBS · 28/06/2008 07:03

NSFN, you may be expecting too much. Don't rush into anything. Maybe he is expecting a lot too? Take it slowly, and see what happens.

Please pray for 2 couples. One couple getting married today - husband to be has terminal cancer. One couple who WERE getting married today, only the groom has had second thoughts...

Please pray also for Andrew Gosden, who is still missing, and the for the unrelenting pain and hurt felt by his parents and sister, who just want to know he's safe, yet have heard nothing from him since he disappeared.

CaptainDippy · 28/06/2008 09:54

Gosh I am tired today - had friends over and they stayed til 12am - yuk! Silly of DH and I really; but so hard to ask people to leave iykwim!!? Sigh. Lovely to see them though, don't get me wrong!

Gosh, your "tick list" does seem a little long nsfn - iykwim!!? Think you should take things slowly and see how it goes for a while - good stuff that the date lasted 5 hours though - that is positive

Think this thread started something like Nov 2004 ..... I think .... would have to do do a bit more research - I stated it because NASWM began a thread about depressed Christians as I recall.

Trying not to be be sick now

CaptainDippy · 28/06/2008 09:56

Sorry Mary - praying for those 2 couples due to be getting married - such tragic situations for them both to cope with. xx

OP posts:
mufti · 28/06/2008 12:36

she is lovely, got her staying tonight,
i was thinking i must count my blessings really especially when you see on here how many have lost their loved ones, or have really difficult relationships
dh is basically a good man, neither of us seem to be good at communicating and thats so important in a marriage
i am trusting GOD for dh's salvation , i just wish sometimes that we knew HIS timing , as it is hard sometimes.
thank you too ROSEY, did you take your own straWBERRIES?, they are about a fiver each there arent they?

amber32002 · 28/06/2008 14:12

Well, I've now gone to ask the Bishop for help. My local Bishop is very nice, fast on the keyboard when emailed, and he's already said he will. Perhaps he'll know of a church that doesn't panic when someone says "please will you help me in some small cost-free way". I told him that at this rate I might as well take out an advert in the church newspaper saying "Wanted, friendly church for well behaved mum with Asperger syndrome", as it would be faster and less stress than trying them individually.

Anyway, it's a lovely sunny day and I feel better that I have some help hopefully on the way.

Prayers for everyone...

Roseylea · 28/06/2008 18:31

hee hee Mufti - yes the strawberries there are pretty expensive so we took our own, along with our own Pimms complete with cucumber, mint and all the other assorted floating greenery! Praying for you nad your dh, for the ability to talk.

Next yr if it's not poss to get tickets for Centre or No.1 courts I would love to just get a ground pass and watch the screen on the hill. If anyone wants to join me, you're most welcome!

Amber, I so hope that you can find a welcoming church soon. It's good that your bishop is so helpful. It's really not too much to ask to make someone feel welcome. is it?

CD how are you now lovey? How are things with your dh? Have you manged to gety any time to chat with him? YOu are still in my prayers.

Praying for all of you.

mufti · 28/06/2008 18:43

ooh mum and i have just had pimms in the garden , only just discovered it thanks to dh, it has to be pimms weather though, not the same if the sun isnt shining, which it finally did late afternoon
this time 2 years ago it was a sweltering heatwave, and i was hoping he wouldnt wait till his 16th july due date , or later ,as i was led to believe first borns are often late.

Roseylea · 28/06/2008 18:59

It's Pimms O'clock!

mufti · 28/06/2008 19:44

love it
