Hi Ladies and fellow believers,

My husband and I work various shifts. When we have a chance we go out but today is a rainy day and I am home, my husband is home and I wonder how you would make sure you child does not spend the whole day bored or using the i pad - to make sure our kids do not use i pads the whole day, but in such a day what do you do ?

LOL, Seems loads of hateful and nastiness against me of adressing Christian mums in the holiday forum. I wanted to adress Christian mums with clear Christian families values and how they do a rainy day in holiday.

You found it!

Maybe build an ark?

CurlewKate · 02/08/2023 10:59

Seriously, @JustaChristian what do you think non Christians do differently on rainy days? Can I guess-are you a recent convert?

JustaChristian · 02/08/2023 11:00

What is this ugliness all about? This is the correct forum for it.

Heatherbell1978 · 02/08/2023 11:01

Genuinely interested in how children's activities differ between those whose parents hold good Christian values and those who don't'? We would go swimming but as non-Christians I don't know if that counts as a Christian activity?

cestlavielife · 02/08/2023 11:01

Put on wet weather clothes go splash in puddles and rejoice

JustaChristian · 02/08/2023 11:01

Would you attack someone's post from a fellow poster who is a Muslim or a Buddhist with such ungliness and vileness?

No hate and nastiness. Just incredulity that you seem to believe that Christian parents are so different and special to every other parent doing their best for their children on a rainy day.

Reported as spam.

Brefugee · 02/08/2023 11:02

I've reported that post, OP.
But @JustaChristian perhaps you can report your other post to Mumsnet and have that one removed (I asked them to take this one down as the other one in the Holidays topic had more answers)

JustaChristian · 02/08/2023 11:05

You can report what you want but this is the forum for the post. So it is not up to you really to decide what a poste wants to ask.

I'm a Christian mum. And it has nothing to do with rainy day activities. DC are 7 and 5 and at activity camps today but of we were at home we would probably do some kind of craft, maybe a board game, go out for a cafe treat, country park for a walk in wet weather gear if not too bad.

All normal things. It's really bizarre the way you've included your faith. If you want resources for Christian craft or study then ask for that specifically and your question would then make sense.

I wonder where are the ladies like you?

Yes I think people are puzzled exactly what you're asking op, so they should just ask politely what you mean. The bullying remarks (some not all) on the other thread are typical of some people (and those in authoritys') attitude to Christians as seen as an easy target.

JustaChristian · 02/08/2023 11:11

Being a Christian ( wether i am old or new convert ) is a protected characteristic in the Equality Act. I have right to ask questions on this forum and not be bullied as many other women asked many religious things over the years.

@JustaChristian "Would you attack someone's post from a fellow poster who is a Muslim or a Buddhist with such ungliness and vileness?"
I wouldn't attack, just as I haven't attacked you. But I would want to know why they think their faith makes their approach to rainy day activities for children different.

JustaChristian · 02/08/2023 11:13

I am a genuine Christian mum and not that overbearing religious at all and this is my ever first time asking something on here and I am met with astonishing ugliness. Where is the good chat and good vibe about how you christian mums spend a rainy day? I am only asking. I know all about crafts, drives, puddles play etc. I just want a genuine chat

The ones like me who are baffled by your post? I think there's a few of us.

As I said if you want ideas of specifically Christian activities then you need to clarify your question. Otherwise it's irrelevant.

Hiphopopotamus · 02/08/2023 11:14

Christian mum here. (though I think that’s the first time I’ve ever called myself that) Honestly you’ve done yourself no favours by phrasing the question this way.

Are you looking for specific Christian learning activities or something (in which case ask that!)

I’ll be doing the same with my kids today as parents of any other faith/belief system I assume. Some painting this morning, probably soft play this afternoon.

A very strange way to ask what to do with your kids - religious belief has very little (none in fact) to do with it!

JustaChristian · 02/08/2023 11:15

I am looking for Christian mum friends. Is this so hard these days? If it ok, i get it. Stay in peace.

OP posts:
CurlewKate · 02/08/2023 11:16

@JustaChristian how will that chat differ from a chat with non Christian mums?

Ah. Well that makes more sense and is quite different from your original post.

You want more of a Christian forum for general chat. Which this isn't.
