A prayer for a special intention

This prayer is often touted as the prayer that has never been known to fail if it is said for three consecutive days and then published. I know that puts it in the realm of superstition, but the way I see it is that persistence in prayer is a good thing when you need to be heard.

Oh, most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendour of Heaven.
Blessed Mother of the Son of God;
Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity.
Oh, Star of the sea, help me and show me you are my mother.
Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth,
I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity
(Mention your request here)
There are none that can withstand your power.
Oh, Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee ( repeat 3 times)
Holy Mary, I place this prayer in your hands (3 times)

I have said this prayer for three days and will continue to do so. It is bringing me comfort at a time when I am really struggling.

Hi OP. This is a lovely prayer. Thank you. I have an interest in Our lady of Mount Carmel so I think Ive read this before. I dont have much truck with intention prayers like this but i am bookmarking here to write this down.

I just wanted to say that, although I am an agnostic, strangely after reading (several times) and appreciating this prayer, I have had sudden cause for hope in a situation that's been hopeless for the last six years. @ScreamingValenta I'm so pleased to hear that this prayer has brought you some hope and comfort. My situation is still scary but we have received some reassuring news just on Wednesday which has calmed me somewhat. I don't feel quite so desperate as I did. I'm still praying hard.

Hi Whodeenie, I think by 'published' it just means to spread the word about the prayer, putting it in the public domain and sharing how it has helped. Whether that's by writing it in a post like this, or in another way. I don't think there's any rights or wrongs where prayer is concerned as long as your heart is full of good intentions.

I feel so blessed and full of thanks. Today we received some wonderful news. My prayers have been answered. The situation isn't fully resolved and there are more tests which have to be done before we can say we're out of the woods, but things are looking good.

This prayer has brought me so much comfort over the past few weeks. I have also prayed hard to St. Jude, who helps when things seem hopeless. I hope that these prayers can help others as they have me.

Most holy apostle, St Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honours and invokes you universally as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone.
Intercede with Godfor me that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, particularly-(make your request here.)- and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever. I promise, O blessed St Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favour granted me by God and to always honour you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.
