A prayer for a special intention

This prayer is often touted as the prayer that has never been known to fail if it is said for three consecutive days and then published. I know that puts it in the realm of superstition, but the way I see it is that persistence in prayer is a good thing when you need to be heard.

Oh, most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendour of Heaven.
Blessed Mother of the Son of God;
Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity.
Oh, Star of the sea, help me and show me you are my mother.
Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth,
I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity

There are none that can withstand your power.

I have said this prayer for three days and will continue to do so. It is bringing me comfort at a time when I am really struggling.
I do hope it can help someone else too.

speakout as someone who was raised Catholic, I think the "publishing" thing doesn't mean you have to quote the entire prayer somewhere where it will be read by other people (and it certainly didn't mean Mumsnet in my day!) - sometimes in RC churches you see messages stuck up by a side chapel saying "thanks to St Somebody for prayers answered" or suchlike; or similar as a classified ad in a paper. It's just acknowledging the help of the saint.
In Catholic churches in some countries people put up tiny metal tokens shaped like a body part that they believe has been healed by divine intervention, e.g. a heart, a leg etc.

Thank you Myprecious I am going through an extremely difficult time and the moment (on top of the pandemic) and am worried I will lose my spirit and mind.
It's been a long and difficult road for me in the last few years and the road ahead is still long and difficult. I hope this prayer will help me continue the journey and finally find peace.

Thank you for posting this. I came on mumsnet to find some comfort tonight as I am sat by the bed of my very sick mum. I’m praying this prayer and also praying to my mum’s favourite Saint Padre Pio. Praying for mum’s pain, suffering and fear to be taken away and for her to get some desperately needed sleep.

I am going through very difficult personal times. times and pray this will help me.

In the past I have asked for many favours,This time I ask fo rthis special one ( mention it) . Take it dear Heart of Jesus and place it within your own broken heart where your father sees it. I am not sure it matters, when you publish. I haven't been fully answered but am very worried about a DC's wellbeing, but I think I gain a sense of comfort and strength from these prayers. I hope others can too.

I’m finding things really difficult at the minute so I’m praying hard. This is a prayer that brings me much comfort at difficult times.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful prayer. I have said this for three days and I am hopeful for the best possible outcome for my daughter.

I can’t bring myself to pray this prayer because I’m not catholic but I’m praying that all of you going through difficult times find some peace, relief and answered prayer very very soon.
