Or Wiccans. or Pagans? Or anyone who is interested in a magical path or feels some magical stirrings.

A place for support, learning, swapping ideas and magical inspiration.

Goodness Elphame! That must have given you quite the shock! I've not see the thread you mentioned, I'll have a look, although I'm never brave enough to post in AIBU 😂

Yashmis hares seem to be following you about! I'm so glad you bought the lamp, I love it 😊

I'm feeling nice and relaxed after yoga. It's finally stopped raining, so hoping I'll get to do some laundry magic tomorrow. The sky is beautiful tonight.

Morning, sorry not been on the thread before but wanted to wish you all a good solstice.

My friend and me made it to Stonehenge this year, weather was perfect.
as the sun went down last night it had a lovely calm feeling. This morning was and experience but not the sort we hoped for, lots and lots of American tourists. with one group behind us in the inner circle being really loud and taking the piss.Sad

MoobaaMoobaa welcome to the thread and the beautiful solstice photograph.

Good morming sisters. Up early intending yoga, but my back is painful, so I reluctantly have to give it a miss. I suspect I was a little over optimistic! My can-do attitude is not always the most well thought out! I need to get some prescription sunglasses for my holiday, so I will pop to the optician at 9am, this time will again allow me to work and get organised.
Have a blessed day everyone.

Morning sisters and happy midsummer to you all.

Looks like we may have some sunshine here this weekend.

I re-read 'The Hobbit' around this time every year. A little tradition that has just grown of its own accord.
I shall read it sitting inside my summer house. The summer house absorbs the full pelt of the setting sun through its westerly facing window and at this time of year it is a space that just seems to thrum with sun energy.

A glass or cup of something in one hand, Tolkien in the other, golden setting sun in front.
Magic in the mundane right there!

It always feels magical to me.

speakout · 21/06/2019 07:16

FitzsFool

That sounds a wonderful tradition. It's many years since I read the Hobbit. A wonderful book.

Solstice blessings sisters x

I woke at dawn (unusual for me!) so I took the opportunity to get into the swing of things. Now sitting, post citrusy salt bath enjoying a few moments with flowers and a candle Smile

Welcome MoobaaMoobaa and thank you for the beautiful picture. I had a look on the webcam earlier.

Violet your evening sky picture is stunning! Thank you for sharing it with us, hope you feel well rested today after your yoga.

speakout sorry to hear your yoga wasn’t to be today, although I do love your optimism. It’ll be good to get your sunglasses sorted- add to the excitement for your holiday! I’m not sure if those Sainsbury’s hares would be ok outside- they were in the indoor section but I didn’t pick them up to see what they were made from (saving myself from further hare purchases!)

Wishing everyone abundant solar blessings today 🌞

Sounds wonderful Fitz, perfect midsummer activity! Smile

YashmisCrone · 21/06/2019 07:27

Speaking of magic in the mundane- I changed my bedding last night to this sunny yellow set I bought the winter before last in dunelm

www.dunelm.com/product/elements-sunflower-yellow-reversible-duvet-cover-and-pillowcase-set-1000085222?rr=item_page.recs1

Funny, because after I bought it and used it in the winter I really didn’t like it- it felt too much! It’s been stored away since. However, now at midsummer it feels just the thing!

faeriesandelves · 21/06/2019 07:56

Morning sisters happy solstice to you all. Beautiful photos and love those hare ornaments.

Speakout what a beautifully worded description of laundry witching. I completely get that and never understood why I get such pleasure from laundry on the line. Now I do. It made me tingly reading it so thank you.

Here's a photo of when I washed all my darling grandson's clothes just before he was born. He's 2 now and another one on the way so I'll be doing it all again and will understand why now.

I love those sheets- perfect for thhe season! Just finishing off a barch of kits then about to take myself off to a huge charity shop in a nearby village. I am looking for fabric for photographing new products, and any interesting things that want to find me.
I will get off after the school run is finished and before lunchtime busy starts, so should be a nice pottering hour.

Actually just what I need- and my back pain has eased a lot since getting up- I probably could have managed yoga after all, but something is telling me I need more head work than body work today!

I am so glad you understand- I thought I was the only one in the world that felt this way until this thread, and I have come to think about it all- makes perfect sense doesn;t it!

An adorable picture of your laundry magic- all that energy , optimism and of course your love infused into those clothes for your new grandchildren.
A perfect gift!

Solstice blessings to all my beautiful sisters 🌞

I woke up naturally at 5am so was able to look at the window and see the sunrise. I'm so glad the weather has improved, for today at least.

Speakout I hope you enjoy your day and your charity shop visit. Let us know if you find any treasures! I'm glad your back is a bit easier, back pain always seems to be worse in the morning. If you fancy doing some yoga later, Adrienne has some videos especially for back pain.

Yashmis your new bed covers are very similar to mine. So nice and summery .

MoobaaMoobaa welcome to the thread and thanks for posting the lovely picture of the sunset at Stonehenge. Sorry this morning's celebrations weren't what you expected. I have heard it's something of a party atmosphere, such a shame.

Fitzfool what a magical way to mark the solstice 💫

Faeriesanselves thank you for sharing that image, it brought back lovely memories of washing all the baby clothes before my DC were born 😊

After days of rain, grey skies and frankly Autumnal weather, how lovely to open the curtains this morning and be greeted with blue skies, sunshine and the reflection of the moon.

Happy Summer Solstice everyone, may your day be filled with magic and wonder Smile

MoobaaMoobaa · 21/06/2019 10:53

Thank you for the welcome everyone. It's lovely to read you summer solstice mornings.

I'm quite lax in my observations now, but am wanting to step it up again. I'm not very good at long-term threads, but I will probably lurk and pop up on sabbats to send blessings.

The evening was great and we were there for the opening and closing of the circle.
we were hoping to see the ceremony in the morning and were in the inner circle, the drumming was great, but it was so packed we only saw one person from the ceremony try to come in, but then they left.
and like I said the vèry loud Americans right behind me making stupid jokes non stop, made it feel all a bit mehh.

But it was still amazing being there in Stonehenge and I'm glad we went. Next year will be a quieter affair. You can't beat the quiet meditation whilst listening to the dawn chorus and waiting for the Sunrise in your own back garden Smile

Enjoy the rest of the solstice🌄

BlankTimes · 21/06/2019 10:58

Solstice Blessings everyone,

MoobaaMoobaa welcome, lovely photo of the stones, yes, it's a real shame that some people attending public events have no respect. Don't let it spoil your experience, you were there, you saw the sun set and rise again, magical.

MoobaaMoobaa · 21/06/2019 11:00

it was magical BlankTimes thank you.

Loyaultemelie · 21/06/2019 11:53

Solstice blessings to you all!

Lovely images you are all posting, I will pop (hobble) back later with some hopefully, there seems to be a queue of people needing things done today.

Elphame wow that must have been quite a shock.

Managed to be up early today before a brutal physio appointment and enjoyed watching the hares from the bedroom window which inspired me for going to the hospital!

SolsticeBabyMaybe · 21/06/2019 16:48

Best wishes for summer solstice everyone :) wanted to plant a tree today but will be waiting for my daughter's birth to plant it for her with her placenta (she's full term today :) )

speakout · 21/06/2019 17:16

SolsticeBabyMaybe How exciting! We will all be rooting for you X

It has been a good, quiet day, industrious, and wonderful sunny weather.
Did some holiday shopping this morning, and working for much of the afternoon.
Just about to have a glass of wine as I cook- some prep done already, fajitas- with meat and vegetarian options for everyone, refried beans, stuffed roasted sweet chillies, coriander and lime rice, quesadillas, salad, chilli wedges, tortillas, putting me quite in a good mood!
DD is home soon, Oh picking her up on his way back from work.

Wishing everyone a pleasant evening.

Solsticebabymaybe keep us posted! Sending lots of love and positivity your way 💕

Speakout I've only had toast and yogurt as I'm going to a solstice celebration soon where I'll be doing yoga, so don't want to eat too much beforehand. Your fajitas are making me hungry!

I've been out for a walk this afternoon. So many beautiful wild flowers and was really happy to see lots of bees and butterflies.

Solstice Blessings to you all.
I have been absent since page 16 and so apologies if I have missed any important news or milestones.

This morning I got up really early and drove to the coast to see the sun rise over the horizon.

Can I join this thread?

I have always been interested in paganism and witchcraft (for the force of good). Many strange things have happened to me in my life that just can't be explained, and the power of the mind is an amazing thing.

speakout · 21/06/2019 19:40

NewMoonSOS you are welcome. Always tea in the pot, and friends, Glad you could join us.
